La Nouba and Morimoto Asia Team up for Dinner and Show Offer

Now through November 19th, 2016 Cirque du Soliel® is teaming up with Morimoto Asia restaurant in Disney Springs to offer a dining package that includes a 2 course meal and premium seating to La Nouba.

Guests will start the night at Morimota Asia enjoying an appetizer, entree and non-alcoholic drink from the prix fix menu before heading over to La Nouba for a 9:00 pm performance.

Hall of Presidents in the Magic Kingdom is Closing for a Lengthy Refurbishment

The Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom will close for a lengthy refurbishment from January 17th through June 29th, 2017 in order to add the 45th President of the United States of America to the stage. The patriotic, Audio-Animatronics show traces the history of the U.S. in a 700 seat theater modeled after Independence Hall in Philadelphia.

Only time will tell which candidate will be the next new President to grace the stage at The Hall of Presidents in the heart of Liberty Square.

Old Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure is officially Under Transformation into the Collector’s Fortress

Tower of Terror fans in California hoped it wasn’t actually going to happen, but it seems if the removal of the Tower of Terror sign wasn’t enough confirmation for you, we have word directly from Disney themselves that the new Guardians of the Galaxy transformation is underway to make it real.

The model pictured here was created by Walt Disney Imagineering to guide the transformation currently taking place on the exterior of the attraction. Every shade and detail you see here will be replicated in full size, as designers, builders and artists work to bring The Collector’s realm to life here at the Disneyland Resort.

This “warehouse, fortress-like power plant” (as described here by Joe Rohde, Creative Executive, Walt Disney Imagineering) is designed to be intimidating and imposing, but also shimmering and regal. It will be the ideal location for The Collector to secure and show off his most prized acquisitions, the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Featuring characters from the blockbuster films, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is an epic new adventure combining the familiar, breathtaking free-fall sensation with all-new visual and audio effects, including music inspired by the popular “Guardians of the Galaxy” film soundtrack. Guests will experience a variety of randomized ride experiences, so you never know which adventure you will get!

Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! opens at Disney California Adventure park summer 2017. Muppet Mobile Lab To Begin Making the Rounds at Epcot

Visitors to Epcot should be on the lookout for Doctor Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker who will be surprising visitors as they make their way through the park aboard their Muppet Mobile Lab. This animatronic mobile unit is the brain-child of Disney Imagineers who debuted the project at Epcot in 2007 before it went on to wow crowds on the West Coast and at Hong Kong Disneyland.

This fully autonomous attraction is sure to capture the hearts of Muppet fans both young and old as the laboratory on wheels meanders through the park surprising guests with special effects, water nozzles, smoke and even confetti cannons.

The Muppet Mobile Lab is part of a greater Muppet presence across Walt Disney World as “The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History” made its debut at Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom on October 2nd.

Star Wars: Commander Introduces New Content Inspired By “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”

Disney and Lucasfilm Ltd. today unveiled the first wave of new content inspired by the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” for the hit mobile combat strategy game Star Wars: Commander. With this update, new characters and vehicles from the highly anticipated film such as Shoretroopers, Rebel Commandos, Gigoran Fighters and AT-ACT Walkers will be added to the game. Additional “Rogue One” content will be added in-game later this year.

The update also introduces a new Armory feature that allows players to customize the appearance of their troops though special equipment. These customizations include recognizable Armory content from the classic Star Wars films, including Imperial Snowtroopers, Cold-weather Rebel Soldiers and Captain Han Solo in protective gear to battle sub-zero temperatures on Hoth.

Players can join the battle for control of the galaxy by downloading the game from the Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon Appstore and Windows App Store.

The Star Wars: Commander update coincides with the global launch of the “Rogue One” product line and the Go Rogue UGC contest on StarWars.com/GoRogue. Fans 13+ are invited to create and share their own short stories or skits based on the characters from “Rogue One” for a chance to win a trip to Lucasfilm in San Francisco to see an advance screening of the film and have their winning video premiered on the big screen.

As much as we don’t like it when our favorite rides aren’t running, it’s necessary to keep all the guests safe while on the rides. Boardwalk Villas: Room refurbishments until October 31, 2016. Guests may have an interruption to water service during the overnight hours.

Pop Century Resort: Computer Pool closed from October 31 – January 3, 2017. Hard goods refurbishments from November 2 – March 26, 2018 between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

All Star Sports: Grand Slam Pool closed from October 10 – December 13, 2016. Guests may use the Surfboard Bay Pool, located near the main lobby during this time.

All Star Music: Piano Pool closed from December 12 – February 3, 2017. Guests may use the Calypso Pool located near Melody Hall during this time.

Port Orleans French Quarter: Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory Refurbishment – Closed until Late Fall 2016 More Info

Coronado Springs: Hard Goods Refurbishment beginning November 2016. Guests may see or hear construction taking place, or encounter alternative paths of travel throughout the Resort hotel. All work with the most potential for noise will be limited each day between 9:00am and 5:00pm in order to minimize any possible disruptions.

Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Vallage: Soft goods refurbishment until January 2017

Old Key West: Sandcastle Pool closed from January 3 – February 24, 2017. The leisure pools located at Old Turtle Pond, South Point and Miller’s Road will remain available.

Wilderness Lodge & Villas: General resort refurbishments through 2017. Hidden Springs leisure pool, beach, marina, playground and Teton Boat & Bike Rental closed. Cub’s Den (children’s activity center): Unavailable through 2017. Sturdy Branches (Health Club): Unavailable July – October 2016.

Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel: Guest room renovations through September, 2016. Work is scheduled to take place between 7:00am – 6:00pm daily. No guests will be accomodated in the renovation area in order to minimize impact.
