Geyser Point Bar & Grill, Wilderness Lodge’s newest eatery opened its doors to visitors for this morning. Here’s a first look at both the interior and some of the menu items on offer.
The restaurant is located next to the Main Pool area at Wilderness Lodge with breathtaking waterside views. Its location means that guests can pick up a quick meal and take it pool side, lounge at the expansive outdoor seating area or indulge in the amazing surroundings of the indoor dining room/bar area complete with cedar beams and natural stone finishings perfectly in keeping with the Pacific Northwest theming that can be found throughout the rest of the resort.
Geyser Point will be taking the place of Roaring Fork and Trout Pass Pool Bar which are both undergoing lengthy refurbishments and offers Quick Service breakfast, lunch and dinner options as well as drinks and small plates.
For breakfast, guests can indulge in hearty home-style cooking including scrambled eggs with sausage and bacon, maple-cinnamon pancakes, and crab cakes Benedict. Lighter options are also available including seasonal fruit with lavender honey-yogurt, and steel-cut oatmeal topped with dried fruit and nuts.
Lunch and dinner, available at the walk-up window includes:
- Bison burger with Tillamook Cheddar, sweet onion straws and marionberry barbecue sauce
- Classic bacon burger with Tillamook Cheddar
- House-smoked turkey sandwich with cranberry mayonnaise
- Lump crab cake sandwich with house-made Canadian bacon and spicy cabbage-carrot slaw
- Grilled salmon BLT with lemon-caper mayonnaise
- Salad with grilled Portobello, zucchini, roasted red peppers, tomato and multi-grain salad with goat cheese dressing (pictured)
- Grilled chicken or salmon with arugula and romaine, apples, seasonal berries, hazelnuts and red wine vinaigrette
- Seasonal fruit plate with lavender honey yogurt
- For dessert there’s seasonal pie and a chocolate brownie mousse with caramel popcorn and toasted meringue
There is also an all-day kids menu featuring trusted favorites like grilled chickens strips with dipping sauce and a finger food sampler with smoked turkey, Tillamook Cheddar and spiced apple.
The bar will be serving up an amazing array of artisanal drinks with an emphasis on the distilleries and breweries of the Pacific Northwest. There’s also an impressive wine list with a focus on heritage varietals grown in Oregon and Washington.
Designed to compliment the plethora of drinks on offer, Geyser Point has created a series of small plates including crispy fried oysters with miso tartar sauce; edamame with chili salt; cheesy barbecue brisket with house-made chips; “Shrimp on a Wire” with miso-lime vinaigrette, togarashi (Japanese spice mixture), shishito peppers and chili-aioli; salmon rillettes with sourdough crisps, and handcrafted charcuterie.
