SeaWorld Orlando Creates One-of-a-Kind Penguin Wetsuit

20160902_antpenguinwetsuit_012

Be sure to visit Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin on your next visit to SeaWorld Orlando.  You will notice that there is one little penguin who does not look like the others.  The reason for this?  She is wearing her very own custom-made wetsuit.

This adorable female Adelie penguin has experienced feather-loss, which can happen to penguins in their natural habitats and wild populations.  As a result of this feather-loss, she had difficulty naturally regulating her body temperature.  SeaWorld Orlando’s aviculture team set out to assist her and created a wetsuit that mimics her former coat of feathers.  The coat was designed and sewn by SeaWorld’s wardrobe department and custom fit just for her.

The wetsuit is serving this sweet little penguin well.  She swims, sleeps, and eats alongside her fellow penguins.  This is just another extraordinary example of how SeaWorld Orlando cares for the marine animals at the park.

What do you think of this penguin wetsuit?  Please leave your comments in the box below.

Win A Slushy When You Take The Beverly Challenge at Epcot’s Club Cool

CC

CC

Did you know that you can take the Beverly Challenge at Epcot’s Club Cool and win a free Slushy of your choice?  The rules of the Beverly Challenge are quite simple.  You must drink 12 of the little sampling cups filled with Beverly soda and you must have a Club Cool Cast Member monitor your progress through the challenge.  That is all you have to do!  If you complete the challenge, you will win a Slushy of your choosing.

CCBC

If you are not familiar with the Beverly soda, be aware that it is quite bitter and the majority of people who try it cannot drink it because of its bitterness.  Beverly soda is a Coca-Cola product that hails from Italy and is quite popular there.

20161023_105256

I will let you in on a little secret about the Beverly Challenge.  As it turns out, you do not have to drink 12 full sampling cups of Beverly. In fact, if you fill 5 or 6 cups, and distribute them between 12 sampling cups, that is all you really need to drink to complete the challenge.  You can find Club Cool in Epcot’s Future World beside Starbucks and across from the Dancing Water Fountain.  Their operating hours are 10:30am-9:00pm.  Be sure to bring someone with you as you will likely not be able to drink the slushy after drinking all that Beverly!

“That’s So Raven” Spinoff In The Works

That's So Raven

To the delight of 90’s kids everywhere, Raven-Symoné announced on The View today that she is working with Disney Channel to create a new “That’s So Raven” spin-off series.

Symoné will be producing the show, as well as staring in it. She will reprise her role as Raven Baxter, who is now a divorced mother with two children, one of which has just discovered her psychic abilities akin to those of her mom’s.

Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff (Best Friends Whenever) are also set to produce, and casting is taking place now. As of right now, Raven is the only confirmed return character, though the show is in the earlier stages of planning, so we will see more announcements over time.
That’s So Raven was one of Disney Channel’s most successful sitcoms and ran from 2003-2007. After the show ended, a less successful spin-off titled Cory in the House aired, which focused on Raven Baxter’s younger brother living in the White House.

The official name for the new show is still pending, and Symoné has confirmed that she will be leaving The View by the end of the year to work on the new show.

Meanwhile, Jay has to figure out a way to keep his blood pressure down on one of the most stressful days of the year, as Gloria tries to show Joe that animals are our friends. Finally, Alex and Dwight get to know each other a little better than her Uncle Cam would like, while Mitchell has to stop clowning around and tell Cam the truth. (9:00–9:31 p.m.)

“DR. KEN” – “Allison’s Thanksgiving Meltdown” – Allison convinces a reluctant Ken that it would be a fun, family adventure to drive to her parents for Thanksgiving dinner. But along the way, a traffic jam combined with her husband and kids’ antics causes her to lose her usual cool. Charlie Brown plans to celebrate the holiday by curling up with a big book that weighs nearly as much as he does, Tolstoy’s “War and Peace.” The book’s weight doesn’t stop him from lugging it to Lucy’s pre-party dance class, where he cuts a mean rug with a rollicking Patty. With just 1,131 pages to go, Charlie Brown takes another break, this time for the party, and summons the courage to invite his true love, the little red-haired girl. She doesn’t respond, but hapless Chuck shows up anyway – with Tolstoy in tow. Then, he settles down with the book – on a porch swing in a snowstorm, and in so doing, misses the evening’s big surprise.
