As much as we don’t like it when our favorite rides aren’t running, maintenance is necessary to keep guests safe during their park visits.  Here is a list of the rides, attractions, and resorts at the Walt Disney World Resort undergoing refurbishment in December 2018 and beyond:

Monorail- ongoing until further notice
The Walt Disney World® Resort Monorail System is undergoing refurbishment and may be on modified service and/or routes. If Guests plan to use this form or transportation during their visit they should check to be sure of the best option available on their day of travel, as alternatve transportation options will be available.

Magic Kingdom Park

• Splash Mountain– Jan. 8 – Feb. 1, 2018
• Liberty Square Riverboat-Jan. 8, 2018 – TBD

• Duck Pond Leisure Pool– Jan. 2 – Spring 2018
  During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. In addition, the feature pool, Fantasia Pool, will be available. All dining and merchandise locations will remain in full operation.
• Rooms Refurbishment– Late February – Winter 2018
  During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. All resort amenities including dining and merchandise locations will remain in full operation.

Disney’s All Star Music Resort

• Calypso Pool– Late February – Early March 2018
  During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. All dining and merchandise locations will remain in full operation. In addition, Piano Pool will be available.

   

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

• Big Blue Pool- Mid-January 2018
  During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. All dining and merchandise locations will remain in full operation. In addition, Flippin’ Fins Pool and Cozy Cone Pool will be available.
• Flippin’ Fins Pool– Late January – Early February 2018
  During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. All dining and merchandise locations will remain in full operation. In addition, The Big Blue Pool and Cozy Cone Pool will be available.
• Cozy Cone Pool– Early February – Mid-February 2018
  Cozy Cone Pool will be unavailable due to routine maintenance. During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. All dining and merchandise locations will remain in full operation. In addition, The Big Blue Pool and Flippin’ Fins Pool will be available.
• Disney Skyliner– Ongoing until further notice
  We have embarked on creating a new transportation system, Disney Skyliner, which will give Guests a bird’s-eye view of Walt Disney World Resort while traveling via gondolas. During this time construction noise may be seen or heard throughout the resort, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9am.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village

• Samawati Springs Pool– Early January – Mid-January 2018
  During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. All dining and merchandise locations will remain in full operation. In addition, Uzima Springs Pool will be available.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas

• In an effort to make future visits more magical, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas is currently undergoing some refurbishment projects across the Resort. During this time, the Resort will be in full operation with all amenities available, including dining, merchandise and recreation locations. It is possible that construction may be seen or heard, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. Ongoing until further notice.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

• In an effort to make future visits more magical, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas is currently undergoing some refurbishment projects across the Resort. During this time, the Resort will be in full operation with all amenities available, including dining, merchandise and recreation locations. It is possible that construction may be seen or heard, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. Ongoing until further notice.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

• Old Port Royale Food Court, Shutters at Old Port Royale, Cabana Pool Bar and Calypso Trading Post– Through Fall 2018
  There will be a variety of dining options available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Centertown, a dining location, will serve an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet for breakfast and dinner, and à la carte options at lunch. A selection of grab-and-go meals will be conveniently available for purchase in three island markets located in the Aruba, Jamaica and Martinique regions of the Resort. Additional a la carte offerings will be available at mobile food vending locations. Our in-room dining will remain available including pizza, sandwiches and pasta. The feature pool-Fuentes del Morro Pool – and leisure pools will all remain available. Recreation activities and entertainment will also be available. In addition to the amenities unavailable at Old Port Royale, which includes the Goombay Games arcade, buildings within Martinique and Barbados islands are unavailable to Guests. During this time construction noise may be seen or heard throughout the resort, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9am.
• Disney Skyliner– Ongoing until further notice

• Hard Goods Refurbishment– Through Summer 2019
  During this time, amenities including dining locations (such as the newly reimagined Rix Sports Bar and Grill) and merchandise locations, pools, La Vida Health Club with the spa and salon, and recreation activities such as beach volleyball, Iguana Arcade, Movies Under the Stars and more, will remain available. Please note that noise will be heard while our Resort is undergoing refurbishments, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms prior to 9:00am daily.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

• Grand Floridian Beach Pool & Pool Bar– Jan. 2 – Spring 2018
  During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. The water play area and mug refill station will still be available at this location. In addition, all other dining locations and the Courtyard Pool will be available during this time.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

• Meadow Swimmin’ Pool– Late January through Early February 2018
  During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. All dining and merchandise locations will remain in full operation. In addition, Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool will be available.

Disney’s Old Key West Resort

• Room Refurbishments– Through Spring 2019
  Guests may see or hear work in progress and certain pathways may be unavailable. During this time, the Resort will be in full operation with all amenities available including dining and merchandise locations, pools, and recreation activities. It is possible that construction may be seen or heard, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 am.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

• Lava Pool– February 2018
  The Lava Pool and waterslide will be unavailable due to routine maintenance. During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. All dining and merchandise locations will remain in full operation. In addition, Oasis Pool will be available.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

• Room Refurbishments– Through Summer 2018
  During this time, Guests may see or hear work in progress and certain pathways may be unavailable. To minimize disruptions, we will attempt to limit all work until after 9:00 a.m. daily.
• Bowling Pool– Late February – May 2018
  Bowling Pool will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. In addition, Hippy Dippy Pool will be available. All dining and merchandise locations will remain in full operation.
• Disney Skyliner– Ongoing until further notice
  We have embarked on creating a new transportation system, Disney Skyliner, which will give Guests a bird’s-eye view of Walt Disney World Resort while traveling via gondolas. During this time construction noise may be seen or heard throughout the resort, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9am.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter

• Room Refurbishments– Early January through Late Spring 2018
  During this room refurbishment, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. All amenities including dining, merchandise and recreation locations will be available.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

• High Rock Spring Pool– Mid-January to Late January 2018
  During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. In addition, The Paddock Pool or the leisure pools located at The Grandstand, Congress Park and the Treehouse Villas will be available.
• Paddock Pool– Late January – Mid-February 2018
  During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am. In addition, High Rock Spring Pool and the leisure pools located at The Grandstand, Congress Park and the Treehouse Villas will be available.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

  During this time, Guests may see or hear work in progress and certain pathways may be unavailable. To minimize any disruptions, work-related noise should not be audible from Guest rooms until after 9:00 a.m.
