Ever since the announcement of the Friar’s Nook tarter tots, we’ve been obsessed with getting to try them! With three unique new flavors to try from it was hard to pick one, so here is our review of ALL of the Friar’s Nook Loaded Tater Tots, plus the twinkie!
You’ll find these savory new treats at Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland. This is a walk up restaurant with an outdoor seating area.
There are three new Loaded Tater Tots varieties to choose from, The Buffalo Chicken, Fiesta, and Greek. Each boasts their own unique flavor profiles, and there is no skimping on the loaded toppings either. The Buffalo Chicken and Fiesta tots are $9.49, while the Greek tots are $8.49.
The Loaded Greek Tots were for sure the more unique one offered. You don’t often see Mediterranean flavors offers as a topping for fried goodies. These were probably the lightest as far as topping amount goes, since there was no meat added like the other two. These are topped with lots of tasty olives, and banana pepper rings. There is a sweet yogurt sauce, that’s kind of like tzatziki, but much sweeter drizzled on top, and a sprinkling of feta cheese. If you’re a fan of Greek salads and this one is for you.
Next up is the Fiesta tots! These are like nachos with little potato nuggets instead of tortilla chips. Lots of ground beef are piled on top of these, with a generous amount of chopped tomato, a drizzle of queso, and then topped with pickled jalapenos. These are pretty straight forward, and definetly a must try if you’re a nacho lover.
Lastly we have the Buffalo Chicken tots. These were probably the favorite out of all three. Yummy shredded chicken that’s been tossed in buffalo sauce star in the show on top of these tots. A nice drizzle of blue cheese dressing and a bit of chopped celery help to balance out the heat. This is all the deliciousness of chicken wings, with out the messy bones, plus TOTS of course. I personally love buffalo chicken dip, so this is a huge winner for me.
Of course if you’re still not full from all the loaded tater totty goodness, or you are more interested in a sweet treat, there is always the deep fried twinkie. You can get this plain, or with your choice of vanilla, strawberry, caramel, or chocolate sauce. We let them choose, and they surprised us with vanilla strawberry! The fried twinkie is crunchy on the outside, with a soft sweet burst of dough and cream on the inside. I probably like these more than I should, but it can be a bit to sweet for some. The twinkie is just $4.99.

If you’re looking to try something a little different, but won’t take you out of your comfort zone, the new Loaded Tater Tots from Friar’s Nook are a great snack to try.
