Valentine's Day Themed Seasonal Drinks Return To Disney World Joffrey's Kiosks

Love (and the smell of coffee) is the air once again at Joffrey’s. They have brought back their seasonal Valentine’s themed drinks for us to enjoy and we couldn’t be happier. Disney World guests can enjoy Cupid’s Kiss Latte flavored with caramel and coconut syrups, Amore Cocoa with dark chocolate sauce, and Valentine’s White Mocha featuring white chocolate sauce and raspberry. All of these drinks are available for $5.99 for a 16oz drink.

For a little extra ($9.99/16 oz), guests 21 and older can even add a splash of Baileys Irish Creme, Grey Goose Vodka, or Jameson Irish Whiskey to get you into the Valentine’s Day “Spirit”. Of course, all of these drinks can be served hot or iced.

Hollywood Studios Temporary Entrance

Guests visiting Hollywood Studios will notice a change when entering from Buena Vista Drive. As Disney prepares for the large crowds expected with the opening of Toy Story Land this summer and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge next summer, roadways and parking lots are being expanded to handle the additional capacity.

Naples Ristorante e Pizzaria To Undergo Renovations in Downtown Disney District

It’s official! Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria, located in the Downtown Disney District, will be going under renovations to refresh the restaurant’s aesthetic and enhance the dining experience. Luckily, Naples will be open throughout the course of construction for guests to enjoy.

A new outdoor bar will be the feature of an expanded patio with additional al fresco dining among all new landscaping. The building renovation includes an addition of a new all-glass entry, welcoming guests to the first and second-floor dining areas.

Inside, three new wood-burning pizza ovens will be installed and will be the focal point of the room. The second-floor dining area will feature an open kitchen as well as enhanced outdoor terrace dining.

The Naples experience is a full immersion into the dining of Southern Italy – from the food and wine to the décor. Authentic Neapolitan pizza is made the traditional way, with a textured, soft and charred crust. The pies are crafted using simple and delicious essential Italian ingredients, along with fresh local products.

The restaurant will remain open during construction and completed in three phases. The current menu of regional Italian specialties from Executive Chef Umberto Rubelli will still be fully available throughout the entirety of the renovation process. This will allow guests to continue enjoying their favorite Neapolitan pasta dishes, secondi, seasonal salads, Italian wines, and the bustling, yet relaxed atmosphere reflective of the restaurant’s namesake city.

Visitors can also expect Napolini, Naples’ fast-casual concept, to undergo a revamp during the latter part of construction. Napolini will stay open as well, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to guests on the go in need of an authentic Italian quick bite. All renovations are slated to be completed in fall, 2018.

Adopt Your Own Porg Experience May Be Coming to Galaxy’s Edge!

It’s no secret that I adore the cute little creatures from The Last Jedi, Porgs! I can’t help it, their cuteness knows no bounds. Just when I was beginning to think my Porg collection was complete, one of my favorite Disney YouTubers – Mickey Views, released some breaking news that proved me wrong. What else could there possibly be? Well an Adopt Your Own Porg Experience of course!

If it weren’t for the adoptable Banshee toys that debuted with Pandora, I might be skeptical about these. However considering what a smash hit those were, it’s no surprise that a Star Wars themed merchandise experience is in the wings. Brayden goes over material from a source that has access to an Imagineer’s private social media account. This Imagineer has been posting concept art, and images about a new project for this furry little friends. They will supposedly be like Furbies, and you will have to say a pledge just like the Banshees.

I was eagerly awaiting the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge before, now I don’t know how I’m going to handle the anticipation! I’m also very curious as to how they will do variations, if any for these new take home pets too!

Disneyland’s Red Rose Taverne to Serve Breakfast

The Disneyland Resort has announced that the Red Rose Taverne will begin serving breakfast starting Wednesday, February 7th. Belle and friends took over this location, which was once Pinocchio’s Village Haus. It’s a very popular spot amongst the quick service locations.

To accommodate for this change, February 6th will be the last day that Rancho Del Zocalo will serve breakfast.

Red Rose Taverne’s breakfast menu will include such special items as an Open Face Croque Madame (ham, baked egg, gruyere, béchamel sauce, dijon mustard, and seasoned sliced tomatoes on country-style toast), a Breakfast Flatbread (with bacon, egg, mozzarella, potatoes, béchamel sauce, and greens), as well as some standards like Mickey-shaped pancakes and a breakfast platter (scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes served with a petite croissant).

Breakfast at the Red Rose Taverne will be served from park opening to 11 a.m. beginning February 7th.

The Tokyo Disney Resort May Be Expanding!

Rumor has it that Tokyo Disney Resort may be adding another park for guests! It would be sky-themed to go along with the existing land and sea-themed parks. The Mainichi Shimbun states that an official announcement will most likely be made in “late April or early May.”

According to the report, “SkyDisney” is a possible name for the new park. To go along with the sky theme, possible attractions could simulate what it is like to fly through the sky or even space.

To streamline traffic flow and deal with overcrowding, the new park may implement a new electronic ticketing system, unlike the paper tickets that Tokyo Disney is currently using.

To make things more accessible and elder-friendly, the park may install moving walkways and incorporate a unique park design that limits travel distance.

Oriental Land Company, which is the company that operates the Tokyo Disney Resort, is reportedly looking to build the new park in the existing parking area behind Tokyo Disneyland. Reports also suggest that the construction will begin in 2019 and be completed in 2022.

Last year, Walt Disney World unveiled a Minnie Van service that can be utilized via the Lyft app as a playful way to whisk guests around Walt Disney World for a flat fee of $20.00. When the service was first offered, it was available only to guests staying at one of Disney World’s Deluxe properties. However, starting today, we here at Chip and Co. are pleased to announce that the service will now be available to guests at Disney’s Pop Century Resort.

In addition to Pop Century, guests staying at the following properties can take advantage of this fun service:

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Disney Transport Photo Ops Available at Walt Disney World

If you’re staying onsite at a Walt Disney World resort, getting to and from your destination using Disney Transport becomes a pretty important part of your vacation. Now there’s a way to commemorate your time spent on the Disney resort buses with this fun prop you’ll find around the bus ranks.

We found this one near one of the Cast Member bus stations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Though PhotoPass photographers aren’t available to capture the moment on your Memory Maker account, the prop is available for you to snap a bit of your own magic.

We found similar props at both the Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom bus ranks. Sadly we weren’t able to find one at Epcot. If you see one there let us know!

Snapping a Disney Transport photo is the perfect way to start your Disney day, or even better try to find one when that nighttime bus lines reach epic proportions as a way to pass the time!
