New Details On The Marvel Super Hero Universe That is Coming to Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris.

Following the news that Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is preparing to incorporate popular stories and characters into Disneyland Paris, Chapek shared that the Marvel Super Hero universe will come to Walt Disney Studios Park, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be totally reimagined as a high-speed, hyper-kinetic adventure where guests will team up with Iron Man and their favorite Avengers.

Fans also got a peek into one of the rooms that will open at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel in 2020. And for those guests who just can’t wait to encounter Marvel at Disneyland Paris, starting this June, Marvel Summer of Super Heroes will bring guests face-to-face with Captain America, Spider-Man, Star-Lord and Black Widow.

‘Minnie Helping Hearts’ is the Perfect DVD to Get Ready for Valentine’s Day

I had the privilege of getting to watch the new “Minnie Helping Hearts” DVD over the past few days and I am in love! I was also to view the “Minnie Helping Hearts” DVD with my one-year-old daughter and four-year-old son and they loved it just as much! (It even kept their attention which is super-hard at this age!)

The “Minnie Helping Hearts” DVD consists of eight “minnie” clips which run about 10 to 12 minutes each:

The first clip, The Happiest Helpers Cruise, is one of my favorites and the perfect way to kick off Valentine’s Day. With its Valentine’s Day-themed dance party aboard the high seas, it’s the perfect way to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit with the ones you love.

There’s still so much fun and magic to be had in the other “minnie clips” too! Minnie and Daisy are the stars of “Minnie Helping Hearts” but viewers can expect to see all of their favorite Disney friends including Pete, Mickey, and my daughter’s favorite Cuckoo Loca! Each clip features Minnie and Daisy doing their best to help the community any way they can. In “Grandpa Beagle’s Day Out,” Minnie and Daisy search for Grandpa Beagle when he goes missing. Another of my favorites, “Artful Helpers,” Minnie and Daisy search down the “Mona-Goof!” My son said he loved all of them but he really loved “Figaro’s New Friend.” Which I can’t argue with…. that one was adorable!

Unfortunately, ticket prices for Disney World and Disneyland did increase the morning of Sunday, February 11. However, Disney did offer a “grace period” to purchase tickets at the old ticket prices. I’m here to share with you how to get those tickets for the old prices:

All you have to do is book a package (consisting of at least your room and tickets) by February 21. That’s right, book your Disney World or Disneyland package by February 21 and you will avoid paying for the new ticket prices! Easy Peasy!

The Deleted Opening Scene of “Coco” has been Released

Disney Pixar’s “Coco” is full of catchy music that the whole family will love. It even has a song, “Remember Me,” up for Best Original Song at the Oscars in March. But did you know at one point “Coco” was envisioned to be a wall-to-wall musical?! And now we have a look at the deleted opening scene of “Coco”.

In this upbeat number full of dancing skeletons and fireworks we see Dia de los Muertos as a period of celebration and not sadness. It’s seen as a time for remembering departed family members and not mourning their passing.

Even the chorus of the deleted song tells us it’s not a time to mourn when it says “It’s not a time for being mournful, it’s not a time to bow your heads. Because the fun has just begun, after you die a lot is done, the party’s anything but dead.”

Elton John to Team with Beyoncé on New Song for Live-action ‘Lion King’ Movie

The live-action “Lion King” doesn’t hit theaters for well over a year but the excitement is already starting to build. We previously reported that Beyoncé would be voicing the role of Nala in the remake. Today, we are hearing that Elton John will also be returning to work on a new closing song for the movie with Beyoncé and theater legend, Tim Rice.

Elton John told the “The Sun:”

“They need to have a new end credits song. There’s going to be four of our songs in the film, from the original: Can You Feel The Love Tonight? Hakuna Matata, I Just Can’t Wait To Be King and Circle of Life. And then there will be an end, closing song, and we’ve been speaking to Beyonce’s people and hopefully Tim and I and her can cook up something.”

Elton John’s “The Lion King” soundtrack is arguably one of the most popular movie soundtracks of all time. I’m super excited to see what he, Beyoncé, and Tim Rice come up with for the live-action remake of the iconic movie.

The live-action version of “The Lion King” arrives in theaters July 19, 2019.

Hot Water Outage Will Take Place at Caribbean Beach Resort on February 13th

Guests staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will want to take note that on Tuesday, February 13th the resort will temporarily be without hot water as a result of ongoing construction projects taking place at the resort.

To minimize the impact on guests, the outage will take place from 11pm – 6am and will affect all guest buildings as well as pool heaters.

Those with concerns are advised to pop by the front desk and meet with the Guest Services team.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is currently going through an extensive renovation that will bring massive changes including the creation of a waterfront area that will feature outdoor dining, a renovation to the central guest services building and the construction of a station that will be used for Disney’s new Skyliner gondola system.

Alton Fitzgerald White and Kissy Simmons two of the cast members from Disney’s The Lion King Broadway show were in Disney World this week to perform as part of the Broadway Concert Series at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts and took some time out to meet with the incredible cast of the Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom.

For those heading to Walt Disney World this week, the Disney on Broadway series runs Fridays through Mondays during the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. The last week of the Festival will feature Josh Strickland, the original lead from Disney’s Tarzan and Ashley Brown who starred in the original Broadway production of Disney’s Mary Poppins. Ashley also starred in the role of Belle in Disney’s Beauty & the Beast on Broadway.

The Disney on Broadway Concert Series is included in the cost of Epcot admission with performances taking place at the American Gardens Theatre at 5:30, 6:45 and 8pm.

Imagineers Donate Their Personal Artwork to Help Save the Sumatran Rhino

We all know how talented Imagineers are. How magical would it be to own a piece of their personal collection while helping to save the world’s most endangered animals, the Sumatran Rhino? Here is your chance to do just that!

The Sumatran Rhino calls Indonesia home. However, most people who live or visit there have never seen one because there are less than 100 remaining. The International Rhino Foundation is working to increase awareness of this beautiful animal so that sightings may one day become less rare. One of the ways they are doing this is through an art exhibition and auction, and Imagineers are lending their creativity to the cause.

As part of Disney efforts to reverse the decline of Sumatran rhinos, Imagineers Joe Rohde, Morgan Richardson, and Zsolt Hormay joined Indonesian artists and wildlife photographers in contributing artwork to the Sumatran Rhino Art Exhibition: Indonesia’s Hidden Treasure. The exhibition and online auction are raising awareness and advocacy for the Sumatran rhino while also raising funds to support future conservation initiatives. All the proceeds from the sales of their artwork will go to Sumatran rhino conservation programs within the International Rhino Foundation. Bidding will end Feb. 14.

Joe, portfolio creative executive for WDI, believes we all have a responsibility to be a voice for the voiceless and help every animal in need.

“Each of us must do our part in our own way to help the world of wild animals and wild places,” Joe said. “We who are artists have a particular skill to inspire and move people’s emotions. I am happy to have the opportunity to apply those skills on behalf of these wild brothers and sisters of the forest.”

You, too, can be an advocate for the Sumatran rhino. Engage in the conversation on social media and let everyone know about these amazing animals, and what you are doing to protect them in the wild.

Quick Facts about the Sumatran Rhino:

Sumatran rhinos can only be found in Indonesia.
It is the smallest living rhino and the only Asian rhino with two horns.
Sumatran rhinos are typically hunted for the keratin that can be found in their horns. This keratin is highly desired for medicine, although it’s been proven to have no medicinal value. It’s also used as a status symbol by humans, thus making us the rhino’s biggest predator.
