You can now make reservations for Lamplight Lounge at Disney’s California Adventure! Lamplight Lounge Reservations are now open, but they are beginning to fill up! Lamplight Lounge is a seaside inspired lounge for the whole family, located at the entrance of Pixar Pier.

Pixar Pier's Lamplight Lounge Reservations Are Now Open

Lamplight Lounge is a new restaurant guests can enjoy when Pixar Pier opens on June 23rd. Guests can make reservations online or by phone, up to 60 days in advance. In the evening Lamplight lounge’s outdoor seating provides views of the illuminated Pixar Pier and “World of Color”, so be sure to get those nighttime reservations, because they will go fast!

Lamplight Lounge promises to celebrate the creativity, inspirations and personalities of the artists and storytellers who have brought Pixar stories to life. With gastropub cuisine and a side of creativity, the Lamplight Lounge will be a wonderful place to stop and enjoy the moment while exploring the new Pixar Pier area of Disney’s California Adventure.

It’s officially time to start making your plans to visit the 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival! Exciting details were just released this morning for the annual event and there will be even mroe food and fun to enjoy!

Guests attending the 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival will be treated to a new dance party featuring your favorite Disney Characters, a mimosa bar, new food, and a few new events.

Here are additional details on the new events for the 2018 Festival:

New Food to Discover

New Brunswick Slider: Slow-braised Beef Brisket “Pot Roast Style” with Horseradish Cream, Crispy Fried Onions on a Potato Roll with Pickled Vegetables on the side (Located at Hops & Barley Marketplace)
Butternut Squash Ravioli with Brown Butter Vinaigrette, Parmesan Cheese, and Pumpkin Seeds (Vegetarian) (Located at The Wine & Dine Studio)
Charred Chimichurri Skirt Steak, smoked Corn Cake with Pickled Vegetable Slaw and Cilantro (Located at Flavors from Fire)

New Fun for Families

On Friday and Saturday evenings, kids enjoy an interactive atmosphere where they dance and play along with Disney Characters.

Also new for the kids is Junior Chef Kitchen presented by Krusteaz. This event allows children to become chefs and get to eat what they make in this family-friendly, complimentary experience every Sunday.

New Mimosa Bar

Located inside the 2018 Festival Center, which will likely be back at the Wonders of Life Pavilion, will be a brand new mimosa bar with wine and local beers, select food options and complimentary samples and seminars hosted by Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company.

New Sunday Brunch with the Chef

This 2-hour, separate-ticketed event invites guests to dine with a culinary TV personality and discover the secret ingredients to their success at the 2018 Epcot Food & Wine Festival. During this event, guests will kick things off with a sparkling wine toast, enjoy an amazing spread of flavorful dishes—and listen to the celebrity guest dish out their favorite tips and tricks.

More Details Released About the New Guardians of the Galaxy Show Coming to Epcot

Walt Disney World’s “Incredible Summer,” has gotten underway and Star-Lord and Gamora from “Guardians of the Galaxy” will take guests on a musical journey through the cosmos in “Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live!” at the America Gardens Theatre at Epcot. Disney released some more details about the show just in time for the launch!

Here is the information on the show directly from Disney:

BACKSTORY:

After saving their world from certain destruction, Peter Quill—a.k.a. Star Lord—brokered a deal with Nova Prime and the Xandarian government to bring an outreach program to his home planet. The purpose? To share Xandar’s rich heritage and culture with Earth’s people.

Peter informed Xandar’s leaders that there’s already a place on Earth with a similar mission… a theme park called Epcot, where all of Earth’s cultures are celebrated. So, as part of their first outreach, Xandar has sent some of their most talented performers to showcase their music!

SHOWTIMES:

Showtimes are at 1:30, 2:30, 5:30, 6:45, and 8 p.m.

The Stuffed Pretzel with Cream Cheese is available at select snack carts throughout the park. It is $5 or one snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan! It’s the perfect snack to enjoy as you explore the movies and adventure that await at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

You’ll also find a variety of other snacks and treats at the carts throughout the park. Fruit, veggies, cheese and hummus make up some of the healthier snacks you may find.

These stands are also where you can find my favorite treat – Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar! No trip is complete without one – or five! You’ll also find Frozen Lemonade cups and other frozen treats! Most of those are also just one snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

And of course you won’t want to miss grabbing a speciality popcorn bucket at the snack carts throughout the park. One of my favorites is still the AT AT Popcorn bucket. It’s perfect to get us excited for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the fall of 2019. Although there are plenty of Star Wars experiences at Hollywood Studios right now to help you head to a galaxy far, far away!

So head on over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and get yourself a Stuffed Pretzel with Cream Cheese – or another tasty snack and experience all there is to do there!

Disney Designed a Play Area at London Childrens Hospital

Disney designed a play area at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital for children staying or visiting the hospital. The following information was released directly from The Walt Disney Company about the amazing new addition to the hospital.

“The Disney Reef, a colorful, underwater-themed outdoor play area, has officially opened at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in London, England, where today it was revealed for the first time to patients and their families. The Disney Reef, positioned in the heart of the hospital, was designed by Walt Disney Imagineers, in collaboration with the hospital’s dedicated Play Team and patients. It brings together special lights and sensory elements, as well as Disney favorites Mickey Mouse and Goofy, Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Hank from Finding Dory—all sculpted specifically for the Disney Reef. Every day, 618 seriously ill children from across the UK arrive at GOSH, and for those patients who spend weeks or even months on end at the hospital, the Disney Reef will be a vital outdoor space where they can spend time with siblings and family members, making treasured memories.”

Are Changes Coming to Tier One FastPasses at Epcot?

I was booking some last minute FastPasses for clients tonight on My Disney Experience when I noticed an interesting change for FastPasses beginning on June 11. The popular Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot attraction at Epcot was listed under Tier One options and not Tier Two options as it has been in the past. I investigated a little further with other dates after June 11 and Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot was a Tier One option as well.

Prior to June 11, the attractions that fall under Tier One options at Epcot for FastPasses are:

Frozen Ever After
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth
Soarin’ Around the World
Test Track

If this change is permanent and not just a glitch in the system, Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot will also fall into this list.

This is likely not to be a popular change with many Epcot and Walt Disney World guests as options are pretty limited in the Tier Two category now, while it can be a struggle to get FastPasses in Tier One.

Jackson, Sophia Bush, John Ratzenberger, Jere Burns, Brad Bird (writer/director), John Walker (producer), Nicole Paradis Grindle (producer), Michael Giacchino (composer).

The first season of “American Idol” on BAC ended on May 21st with Maddie Poppe being crowned the winner! With its huge success this season, America’s beloved singing competition series announced today the list of upcoming American Idol audition cities for the network’s second season. The nationwide search for the next superstar kicks off later this summer – on August 25th – as the Idol Bus jumps into gear across America, offering hopefuls the chance to audition for a shot at superstardom.

Auditions will kickoff simultaneously in Orlando, Florida, and San Diego, California as “American Idol” searches every corner of the nation in its pursuit for talent. In addition to auditioning in-person, hopefuls can also submit audition videos online via www.americanidol.com/auditions or by showing off their talent via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Musical.ly using the hashtag #TheNextIdol.
