Hand-Dipped Milkshakes At Planet Hollywood Are Amazingly Delicious

At Planet Hollywood in Disney Springs, you can get more than just a Chef Guy Fieri burgers or sandwich. They also serve up incredible hand-dipped milkshakes! The milkshakes are insanely popular too. Around 5,000 are created each month.

Watch these amazing creations, the Cosmic Cotton Candy, the Chocolate Comet and the Strawberry Big Bang milkshakes come to life!

The Cosmic Cotton Candy milkshakes feature rainbow sprinkles and white chocolate covered pretzels topped with cotton candy and a swirl lollipop. The Strawberry Big Bang also has sprinkles but it’s topped with a slice of birthday cake! The Chocolate Comet milkshakes are full of chocolaty goodness. They feature double chocolate brownie frosting, candy, brownies and a chocolate cookie straw.

Planet Hollywood also serves up incredible entrees such as the Championship Pulled Pork sandwich, with crispy pulled pork, Guy’s signature BBQ sauce, slaw, pickles and crispy onion straws, as well as the Bistro Sirloin Steak.

Kid’s will love the Cheese Pizza, Chicken Fingers and Mac and Cheese.

Planet Hollywood is located between the AMC Dine-In and the Coca Cola Store in Disney Springs.

Changes to Disney Dining Plans for 2019

As you most likely know by now, 2019 Walt Disney World Packages were released last week. With the release of new packages also comes changes to the Disney Dining Plans. This changes to 2019 dining plans are not nearly as big as 2018 dining plans when alcohol/non-alcoholic signature drinks were added to meal options. The only change there really is to report for this year is a slight increase in the pricing for children ages 3 to 9.

If you are not familiar with Disney Dining Plans, there are three offered – Quick Service Dining Plan, Disney Dining Plan, and Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. The entitlements for each plan are as follows:

Quick Service Dining Plan

2 Quick-Service Meals
2 Snacks

Disney Dining Plan

1 Quick-Service Meal
1 Table-Service Meal
2 Snacks

Disney Deluxe Dining Plan

3 Meals
2 Snacks

Pricing for the 2019 Disney Dining Plans are as follows:

Quick Service Dining Plan

Children (ages 3 to 9): $23.78 per night
Adult (age 10+): $52.50 per night

Disney Dining Plan

Children (ages 3 to 9): $27.98 per night
Adult (10+): $75.49 per night

Disney Deluxe Dining Plan

Children (ages 3 to 9): $43.49 per night
Adult (10+): $116.25 per night

As mentioned, the only change this year is the increase in the children’s rate for a dining plan. The increase in the Quick Service Dining Plan for a child from 2018 to 2019 is $2.04. The increase for the Disney Dining Plan is $2.23 while the increase for the Deluxe Dining Plan is $3.50.

Disney’s Pet Friendly Program to End in October

Back in October of 2017, Disney released a pilot program that would allow Guests to bring their pets with them to stay in Disney resort rooms. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney Yacht Club Resort, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside can accommodate dogs in their guest rooms. There’s been some buzz about this policy possibly coming to an end so we called Disney directly and they did, in fact, confirm that this would end October of 2018. We did not get an exact date nor did they say if it would be extended. This was just a pilot program so it was always possible it wouldn’t be a permanent change. If you have a current reservation where it is stated that you are bringing a pet, then you will still be good to go regardless of your check-in date.

Here is the current policy for your furry friends:

The dog-friendly resorts mentioned above will all be able to accommodate a maximum of two dogs per guest room. Each of the guest rooms will have easy access to outdoor pet walkways and dogs will receive a welcome kit upon check-in which includes mats, bowls, ID tag, plastic disposable bags and puppy pads. There is an additional cost for the service with Yacht Club charging $75 a night for the service and the other three resorts charging $50 a night.

Junior Chef Kitchen presented by Krusteaz® – NEW!
Watch little ones create culinary works of art.

Under the guidance of a Disney Chef, “Junior Chefs” will make, decorate and sample their own pancake creations using fun recipes. Participants will also receive their very own chef hat, apron and certificate of completion.

Junior Chef Kitchen sessions are held at the Festival Center Spotlight Stage on select Sundays at 11:00 AM:

Toy Story Land at Night

We cannot wait to experience Toy Story Land when it opens later this month at Disney Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort. And while we can’t wait to play in Andy’s backyard during the day, Toy Story Land at night sounds amazing!

Combining vibrant lighting with fun music and special effects, the nighttime look for Toy Story Land make sure the land is playful and fun long into the evening hours.

According to Imagineer Ryan Wineinger, seeing Toy Story Land lit up at night first time really wowed the project team.

“When you’re collaborating with Show Lighting and Pixar and composers, you think you understand just how dynamic it’s going to be when it comes together,” Ryan said. “But frankly nothing can really prepare you for the moment when you see all of that come together in harmony like it has tonight.”

And, according to Imagineer Dave Minichiello, experiencing the land’s two new attractions after dark makes the attractions thrilling in a whole new way.

“Riding Slinky Dog for the first time and riding tonight with the lighting and special effects and audio was so exciting,” Dave said. “After so many years of developing the different pieces, seeing it here in Toy Story Land all together with the Pixar team has been monumental for us.”

The all-new Play Disney Parks mobile app will make its debut on June 30th at the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort! This app will allow guests to turn wait time into play time with all-new interactive experiences and activities created for select attraction queues.

And it’s for the whole family. It was designed with group play that enables everyone to join in on the fun together! Here are a few of the games that await you:“Playset Party” at Toy Story Mania! in Disney California Adventure park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, “Off to Neverland” at Peter Pan’s Flight at Disneyland park and Magic Kingdom, “Rocket Race” at Space Mountain at Disneyland park and Magic Kingdom, and “Andy’s Boardgame Blast!” at the new Slinky Dog Dash coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

When Guests (ages 13 and over) are signed into their Disney account they will also be able to earn, collect and share uniquely themed achievements, rewarded for playing games, answering trivia, completing challenges and experiencing select attractions across Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. And with the Disney trivia feature, there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy as guests can discover fun facts about their favorite theme parks.

This new Disney app – the first-of-its-kind! – will also allow guests to celebrate the songs of Disney in a whole new way. Access Apple Music®* from within the app to tap into a curated audio experience featuring official playlists inspired by beloved theme park lands, attractions and characters – and some favorite memories too. If you’re an Apple Music subscriber then you will even be able to add favorite Disney tracks direct to your Apple Music library allowing you to live and re-live the magic of Disney parks music at home.

The app is free to download and guests can pre-order today on the App Store and Google Play.

But that is just the beginning! The Play Disney Parks app will evolve over time with new experiences and offerings, including the eagerly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, coming to Disneyland Resort in summer 2019 and Walt Disney World Resort in late fall 2019.
