Character Meet & Greet Times Changed Temporarily at Hollywood Studios

If you’re visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World soon you should be aware that certain character meet & greet times have been changed. Don’t worry it’s just temporary. Chip ‘n’ Dale & Donald Duck’s operating hours have been changed for the week of November 25 – December 1st. Here are the details:

The operating hours for that lovable duo, Chip ‘n’ Dale, have been changed to 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Donald Duck’s meet & greet hours have also been changed. It is now 8:45-11:40am and 12:50-3:45 pm.

Everyone’s favorite bad guy/glitch duo has arrived at Epcot. To celebrate the opening of “Ralph Breaks the Internet” Ralph and Vanellope are temporarily greeting guests at The Character spot in Innovations West.

Ralph and Vanellope Now Meeting at Epcot There was a lot of concern that this meet and great could replace either BayMaxx or Joy and Sadness at the Character Spot but we are pleased to report that will not be the case.

While this is a temporary meet and greet location, it does seem that the characters are here to stay! Later this season the duo will be moving into to Imageworks as a longterm meet and greet location.

In the meantime though, the meet and greet location at the Character Spot is very well marked, so finding it should be a breeze!

Beignet Burger is Divine - Review

The Beignet Burger is absolutely divine at the Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory. Float own down the bayou to Walt Disney World’s Port Orleans French Quarter to find this extraordinary cheeseburger. Beignets and burgers who knew?! Initially, I have to say I was pretty skeptical. All I can say now is MIND BLOWN!

A juicy burger patty is topped with melty American cheese, bacon jam, shredded lettuce, pickled onions, house-made pickles, and bayou barbeque sauce. Two light and fluffy freshly fried beignets create the most delicious burger buns! I am rarely at a loss for words, but after my first bite, I was like O.M.G.!!!! For $14.49, it comes with a choice of two sides – cole slaw, french fries, or potato chips. I chose the potato chips and coleslaw. Pro tip – use the chips to scoop up your coleslaw LOL!

Ralph Breaks VR is now at The Void in Disney Springs. My son and I had the honor of being one of the first guests to “break into the internet” with everyone’s favorite arcade game characters – Wreck-it Ralph and Vanellope Von Schweetz.

After all the necessary forms were filled out for myself and son (The Void experiences are for guests ages 10 and up), we each chose our game avatars. With six different game personas to choose from, my son picked the “sun,” and I picked the health card. Each character card has different pro tips for the game, so make sure to read them on the back of each card. Then, it was time to head into the briefing room to receive our “mission” and sync up by linking our bands with our avatars.

Did I mention my son LOVES The Void?! He was so excited once we got into the gear room, and it was time to suit up. With vests on and our VR helmets securely fastened, it was time to experience Ralph Breaks VR! The cast member escorted us to our room, we flipped down our visor, and we were immediately transformed into our avatars. I love the fact that my son is his actual size in the game. It is SO cool. The virtual reality technology is unbelievable! We did some quick high fives and off we went into the internet.

OK ok, I do not want to give any spoilers, but I have some game tips. Look around. I mean really look around because the internet is mesmerizing. The details, colors, and games you play with Ralph and Vanellope are extraordinary. You feel like you are part of the game like holding onto the rail as you look out over the wifi. Do not worry though; the game does not give spoilers away from the movie, either.

Overall Thoughts

Wow just WOW! My son and I had a blast. The virtual reality fully immerses you in the land of the internet with Ralph and Vanellope, and it is astounding. I think a lot of people do not realize, that The Void is a great place for families (as long as your kids are 10+). I love spending quality time with my son like that especially in a team scenario where we need to work together, and it is FUN! We are already planning to go back. Disneyland Paris Kicks Off Christmas Season with Singer Zara Larson!

Disneyland Paris kick-started the Christmas Season with a bang, by celebrating 90 years of fun with Mickey! The loveable, iconic mouse turned 90 on Sunday and is the centre of the spectacular shows on offer this holiday season.

To open the festivities, Swedish singer Zara Larsson appeared on stage in the Suprise Mickey show to perform an awesome Happy Birthday song!

Disney released the live action Lion King teaser trailer and we are all losing our minds over this taste of what is to come! That voice, it sounds so familiar! Bringing back all of the memories of the animated classic we all loved.

From the looks of the trailer it will stay true to the original tale. We see some familiar faces like Rafiki, Simba, and hear Mufasa’s voice narrating the intro. Take a look and see the teaser trailer below!

Keanu Reeves Will Be in Toy Story 4

Keanu Reeves will be in Toy Story 4! Last night while on The Jimmy Fallon show Tim Allen spoke about the emotional ending and gave a few other insights into the next(and possibly last) installment of the Toy Story films. Allan let it slip that actor Keanu Reeves will play a character in the film similar to his own personality in real life. “Keanu Reeves has got a great part in it. Inside story, even the fun, gentle guy that he is, even he said, ‘This sounds too much like Buzz Lightyear.’ And his character does have an edge to that, and so they had to calm them down,” Allen said.

Hong Kong Disneyland throwing the “World’s Biggest Mouse Party”!

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is celebrating Mickey Mouse’s 90^th Birthday by throwing a limited-time global celebration called, the “World’s Biggest Mouse Party!” from now until February 24^th 2019! The party is the ultimate experience for Disney fans, offering incredible resort-wide goodies to celebrate Mickey’s birthday. Guests visiting the resort this holiday season will experience Christmas with a Disney-style glow until January 1^st 2019!

For Mickey’s birthday, Hong Kong Disneyland invited hundreds of fans, including local influencer Kay Tse, a community member of Make-A-Wish Foundation, Disney VoluntEARS and other beloved Disney characters to a one-of-a-kind party along Main Street, U.S.A. Mickey and Minnie also greeted fans in their new birthday outfits!

To celebrate Mickey’s birthday, guests were delighted with the appearance of over 40 beloved Disney characters, including Mickey’s new friend Cookie alongside Duffy and friends, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, Chip ‘n’ Dale, Elsa, Anna, Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Timon, Pumba and many more! They all gathered together with guests to celebrate the main mouse’s birthday!

Guests at Hong Kong Disneyland are invited to join in with the #ShareYourEars campaign, encouraging guests to share their Mickey Mouse ears on social media. This campaign has been extended worldwide until November 27^th 2018. For every public post, Disney will donate $5 to Make-A-Wish to grant even more wishes.

From 19^th November 2018 until the 24th February 2019, a new projection show called “We Love Mickey” will dazzle guests of all ages. This visual projection extravaganza will display Mickey’s journey along Main Street, U.S.A. This stunning show will transform the buildings on Main Street, U.S.A, into a canvas of vibrant, colourful visuals paying tribute to the beloved mouse. The birthday edition show will encourage guests to sing along to wish the very special mouse a “Happy Birthday”! Towards the end of the show, Mickey and Minnie are set to appear in their brand-new birthday outfits concluding this wonderful celebration. Mickey will wear a white crisp suit with a shower of colourful confetti. Whereas Minnie will wear a beautiful bubble skirt and a puff-sleeve dress adorned with pompoms.

Birthday fun continues around the resort, with new commemorative admission tickets for guests to enjoy until February 2019! The tickets show a vibrant birthday design of Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto! A must have for all Disney fans!

Guests entering the parks can also receive special birthday stickers from cast members while strolling down Main Street, U.S.A.

Why not celebrate alongside Mickey with your own memorable celebration? For Hong Kong residents only, stay for one night in a Hong Kong Disneyland resort hotel for only HK$1,799. This will include a decoration bundle, bed runner, door sticker, amenities tin box, slippers, balloon and a greeting card. To celebrate Mickey’s birthday, guests should not miss out on the delicious birthday-themed dining options, including 40 new birthday-themed food and beverage items. Likewise, why not pick up an HKDL- exclusive Mickey sip sip commemorative cup, Mickey popcorn buckets and an array of mouth-watering desserts!

During this time of celebration, guests can also be the party home as there are over 50 special items available over the rest. From graphic tees to home décor to plush toys- everything guests need to celebrate Mickey’s special day! There is also an 18” tall Mickey plush for sale with “World’s Biggest Mouse Party” and the HKDL logo to celebrate this wonderful time!

HKDL is inviting their Magic Access Members to redeem an exclusive jigsaw puzzle and character cards from now until the 22^nd December 2018! This can be accessed with any eligible purchase (e,g, purchasing food, merchandise and beverages) and a valid membership card at Magic Access Member Service Centre in person! The gifts are limited an while stock lasts!
