Chef Justin Plank Hosts Holiday Cooking Class at Terralina Crafted Italian

Chef Justin Plank hosted a holiday cooking class at Terralina Crafted Italian in Disney Springs. Buon Natale friends from Terralina Crafted Italian! Tis’ the season to gather around the dinner table with your family and friends. To give my Christmas menu some new Italian flavors, I was excited to try the new holiday cooking class hosted by Chef Justin Plank.

Starter

Nestled in the back room of Terralina, a large table was all set for the class. Everything was set up family style, so attendees could mingle and mangia together. We were served house-made bread and giardiniera as our glasses of pinot grigio were poured to signal Chef Justin was ready to begin. As he introduced himself and talked about what to expect for the class, I examined the recipe card. My eyes started to twinkle when I saw salmon, swordfish, shrimp, and scallops because I LOVE seafood! Then, the servers brought out fresh house salads as our starters. The salad was fresh and crisp with a light vinaigrette dressing.

The magic had started. With each precise turn of the spatula, Chef Plank took great care to explain what it really takes to make a great risotto. We even got to smell the saffron. He was an excellent teacher. Finally, it was time to devour our bowls of seafood risotto. Smiling from ear to ear, I happily ate bite after bite. It was fantastic! Nothing like comfort food to warm your heart on a chilly afternoon.

Dessert

Last but not least, they surprised us with dessert and glass of dessert wine. Two beautiful cannolis and a glass of Fattoria Del Cerro make one heck of dessert if you ask me! The cannoli shell had a wonderful crunch and that filling was OH SO DELICIOUS!

Overall Thoughts

Happy holidays famiglia! With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it was amazing to sit down, relax and enjoy delicious food. Chef Plank was a gracious host answering questions and sharing all of his professional tips. I am looking forward to recreating this recipe for my family. Jingle Julep Now Available at Bengal BBQ

There’s a new Christmas delight available at Disneyland and it is sure to become a fan favorite! At Bengal barbeque, you’ll find the festive Jingle Julep.

If you’ve had the Jungle Julep there that is available year-round then…err…Just forget about it entirely because the only similarity is the name. This decadent treat is a far cry from the (also delicious) Jungle Julep.

The Jingly version of this classic Disneyland treat has a frozen white hot chocolate base, with a cookie butter bottom (oh my!) It is topped with a sprinkle of cocoa powder and finished with a salted pretzel stick. This treat is rich and filling and cool enough for those sunny California days!

Traditionally a Julep is made with bourbon but despite the name, there is no alcohol in the beverage. Disneyland is a dry park after all! This is a treat the whole family will be sure to enjoy!

Walt Disney Studios Tour is Back in 2019

As the 10th anniversary of D23 approaches, one of the most exclusive benefits of membership returns! The Official Walt Disney Studios Tour will return in 2019 with a wide variety of experiences and most importantly… even more tours than ever! Open only to D23 Members, exclusive tours of the historic Studio lot return on four weekends in 2019. New this year us the “Family 4-Pack” this event, exclusive to Gold Family Memberships only will take place in April.

The Official Walt Disney Studios will also offer special weekday tours once a month. The dates for this tour will start in March. And as we discovered at D23’s Destination D event for the first time ever, these weekday tours will be available to Gold, Gold Family, and General Members! The first one will be just in time for the 10- year anniversary in March!

Legends of the Force Coming to Disneyland Paris!

Legends of the Force- A Celebration of Star Wars is arriving into both Disneyland Paris parks from January 12th to March 17th 2019! Feel the full power of the force as both parks celebrate Star Wars with classic attractions, shows and new characters, immersing guests in the iconic world of Star Wars!

Relive the most iconic, jaw-dropping moments from the Star Wars saga in the incredible nighttime show “Star Wars: A Galactic Celebration”- now with new scenes from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Feel the Force as Luke Skywalker destroys the Death Star, Obi-Wan defeats Anakin and more! Playing in the Production Courtyard in the Walt Disney Studios Park.

During this season, guests will be able to encounter their favourite characters from Chewie to Darth Vader! Chewie can be found in the Production Courtyard in the Walt Disney Studios Park. Whilst Darth Vader is in Starport, Discoveryland in Disneyland Parc.

New to this season of Legends of Force, guests will be able to watch the display of Imperial power as Darth Vader himself leads a company of stormtroopers on a military march through the park in the Stormtrooper Imperial March.

Look At the Yummy Food Choices at Tokyo Disney Parks!

Alright, guys, I am back at it again. I found more amazing food! I promise this will be the last one for the day. This time we will be taking a look at the food choices at Tokyo Disney Parks. So, let’s get started because these are too cute to wait any longer.

Found in the American Waterfront at Tokyo Disney Sea are these incredibly cute Alien Mochi Dumplings! I am not sure if I could bring myself to eat them, who am I kidding, of course I would! Word has it these little dumplings are filled with three cream flavors-chocolate, strawberry, and custard.

Another cute tasty option are these Mickey and Minnie Mouse popsicles. I know on a hot day around here I would definitely be craving one of these. Both feature amazing flavors that anyone would enjoy! Minnie is flavored as a peach raspberry and mickey is flavored as tropical fruit. Yummmmm!

Tokyo Disneyland also features the always loved Mickey Waffle! Located in the World Bazaar area is the Great American Waffle Co. where guest can enjoy the ever-popular waffle. Guests can choose to have their waffle come one with maple syrup, or chocolate, strawberry, or custard sauces. During the right season guests can also enjoy this treat with ice cream! Sign me up now!

Check this out! The Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall located outside of the attraction “It’s a small world” looks amazing. This restaurant clearly goes all out with the cards painting the roses red outside to the themed food inside.

Are you just a simple snack person? Don’t worry, Tokyo Disney Parks still have the cute on-the-go snacks. Guests can try the Mike’s Melon Bread, which is a semi-sweet melon bread roll shaped as Mike Wazowski. Rather have popcorn in a souvenir bucket? Tokyo Disney Parts are the perfect place for this. Their popcorn comes in multiple different flavors such as, buttered, blueberry, caramel, chocolate, curry, soy sauce, garlic shrimp, and more! Yeah, you read that right. ‘MOM, PHINEAS AND FERB ARE MAKING ANOTHER CROSSOVER!’ Season two of Milo Murphy’s Law starring Al Yankovi, debuts with a Phineas and Ferb hour-long crossover special on Saturday, January 5th, on Disney Channel and Dinsey XD!

Season two of “Milo Murphy’s Law,” the Emmy^® Award-nominated animated series starring legendary satirist Al Yankovic (professionally known as “Weird Al”) as the voice of Milo Murphy, debuts with a one-hour “Phineas and Ferb” crossover special SATURDAY, JAN. 5 (7:00–8:00 a.m. EST/PST), on both Disney Channel and Disney XD. The special, titled “The Phineas and Ferb Effect,” will also be available that same day on DisneyNOW and Disney Channel VOD. Both series hail from acclaimed animation producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, who will reprise their “Phineas and Ferb” roles as Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram, in addition to voicing time travelers from the future, Vinnie Dakota and Balthazar Cavendish, in “Milo Murphy’s Law.”

Povenmire and Marsh said, “The story arc of ‘Milo Murphy’s Law’ has been designed from the very beginning to lead us to a big crossover with all the ‘Phineas and Ferb’ characters. We’ve planted lots of clues and Easter eggs in the first season, and we can’t wait for the fans to see these two worlds collide.”

“The Phineas and Ferb Effect” follows Milo and his friends, along with their newly discovered neighbors—Phineas, Ferb, Perry the Platypus, Candace, Isabella, Baljeet and Buford—as they work together to overcome Murphy’s Law in order to stop a pistachio invasion. The “Phineas and Ferb” guest voice cast includes Ashley Tisdale (Candace), Alyson Stoner (Isabella), Vincent Martella (Phineas), David Errigo Jr. (Ferb), Dee Bradley Baker (Perry the Platypus), Maulik Pancholy (Baljeet) and Bobby Gaylor (Buford). Starring alongside Yankovic on “Milo Murphy’s Law” is Sabrina Carpenter and MeKai Curtis as Milo’s best friends Melissa Chase and Zack Underwood, respectively.

Season two guest cast includes John Ross Bowie and Cedric Yarbrough (ABC’s “Speechless”) as shape-shifting alien buddies, Loab and Khone; current and former NASCAR racers Rusty Wallace, Joey Logano, Ty Dillon, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Erik Jones and William Byron as themselves; sports announcer Mike Joy as himself; and Hal Sparks (Disney XD’s “Lab Rats”) as conspiracy theorist, Chaffe. Throughout the season, Milo and friends will face more calamities and trouble as Milo’s new housemate, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, brings his own version of chaos to their unpredictable adventures. New episodes will air Saturdays on Disney Channel (7:00 a.m. EST/PST) and Disney XD (11:00 a.m. EST/PST).

In addition to Povenmire and Marsh, the “Milo Murphy’s Law” creative team includes director Bob Bowen (“Family Guy”) and “Phineas and Ferb” veterans: producer and director Robert F. Hughes; co-producer and story editor Scott Peterson; composer and song producer Danny Jacob; and writers Jim Bernstein, Martin Olson and Joshua Pruett. Joining the writing team for season two are Valerie Breiman (“Friends with Benefits”) and Marja Adriance (“The Secret History of Rock ‘n’ Roll with Gene Simmons”). The series is a production of Disney Television Animation and carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.

Disney parks all over the world have been ringing in the holidays with bright lights, wondrous food, beautiful music, and diverse cultural experiences. Disneyland is no different, and now you west coast Disney fans don’t have to travel all the way to Epcot to experience different holiday cultures. This year, Disneyland will be partaking in the diverse fun as they celebrate “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” As you may have guessed, the event is a holiday “celebracion” dedicated to the diverse and colorful Latin cultures and their holiday traditions! The best part? You’re invited!

As with any culturally-based Disney event, you can absolutely expect authentic holiday cuisine, decor, dancing, and music. All done with the little bit of magic and flair that only Disney can provide. Located at Paradise Gardens in Disney California Adventure, it’s sure to be a “tiempo festivo” for all! Check Out the New Food Items at Disneyland Parks and Hotels

Hey guys! I am back at it again with more new food! This time at Disneyland Resorts. What can I say, I love to eat!! So, as you can imagine, if I have the opportunity to talk about it more I will! This time I would like to focus on the Hungry Bear Restaurant. So follow along as we check out the new food items at Disneyland!

Recently Hungry Bear Restaurant recently implemented a whole new menu! This is so exciting! There is a plethora of food here to fill anyone’s hungry stomach! Apparently, there are two new sandwiches that are on the can’t miss list! These new can’t miss sandwiches are the Honey-spiced chicken sandwich and the Crispy Fish Sandwich.

I would like to talk about the Honey-spiced chicken sandwich because that would be at the top of my list to try. This sandwich features that magical twist with the sweet and spicy spread that gives it a good kick then topped off with lettuce. Complete with fries, this sandwich sounds so good!!

The next must try sandwich, which I will still obviously try, is the crispy fish sandwich. This sandwich also has a special twist with its sweet and spicy slaw and lemon-citrus mayonnaise on a bun. I personally am not a slaw fan, but I still want to try it!!

In addition to the sandwiches guests can choose from the classic cheeseburger, the BBQ Double Cheeseburger, or the Messy Melvin’s Vegan Specialty Burger. The BBQ Double Cheeseburger sounds amazing! The BBQ Burger comes with BBQ Sauce, an onion ring, and jalapeno pickle relish.

All this food talk is making my mouth water!! After reading some of the new items at Disneyworld – you can find the article here if you missed it – and reading about some of the new items at Disneyland, which would you like to try? I mean it all sounds so tasty, but I think my first stop will be to Boatwright’s Dining Hall for that Chef’s platter. MMM, MMMM!

2019 Oscar Advertisers Will Pay a Hefty Price for a Thirty-Second Ad

The popular Oscar Awards, scheduled for February 24^th , has already sold more than three-quarters of its commercial inventory to 2019 Oscar Advertisers. Which is amazing considering ABC is seeking between $2 million and $3 million per advertising spot meaning 2019 Oscar Advertisers will pay a hefty price for a 30-second ad, according to two media buyers familiar with negotiations for advertising.

Although senior vice president and entertainment brand solutions for Disney as sales, Jerry Daniello, declined to comment on the price tag for advertising, he did add that the company is “ahead of its progress at this time last year”. Daniello also stated that the Oscars is the “biggest event we have on our network”. In 2017 the Oscars broadcast and ABC’s red-carpet coverage generated approximately $128 million for the network, which is more ad revenue than any other day of the year.

However, critics were concerned for revenue after the host, comedian Kevin Hart, stepped down in the wake of previous homophobic tweets from the past. Vice President Daniello insists the company will be fine since “Most of the interest we had to date was locked in before the controversy sparked”. Daniello also went on to say, “ABC has seen an interest in the broadcast from automobile manufacturers, retailers, beverage marketers, and makers of consumer technology”. The company and Daniello are confident that advertisers didn’t “buy time in the Oscars” with a specific host in mind.

Even though the ABC’s Oscars telecast has experienced an audience drop, due to an era in TV audiences viewing on-demand streaming and video, big award shows continue to have value to viewers. Despite the audience drop the ad costs for the event continues to rise, partly due to advertisers knowing the value of ads during big event shows.

Check Out the New Food Items at Disney World Parks and Hotels.

I know we have been talking a lot about all of the yummy holiday food and treats you can find around the parks and resorts. Sometimes, though, we want to know about those hearty delicious meals that can fill us up. Join me as we check out the new food items at Disney World parks and resorts!

I would like to start with one of my favorite restaurants, Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot. My family absolutely adores this place. We thought the food was amazing, but the atmosphere is out of this world! While we were there we had the pleasure of eating while the divers were cleaning the tank. It was so fun to watch them as they put on a show for us! If you ever want to know more about the fish in the tank be sure to ask your waiter or waitress, they are filled with information! Anyways, back to the food! New to Coral Reef is the whole-stuffed Maine lobster. Sounds good right? It gets better! The lobster also comes with crispy baby potatoes, asparagus, béarnaise lemon, and butter. Oh my goodness!

I love Epcot, there is so much food to find there, but Animal Kingdom is catching up with all of their new dishes available! First stop is Harambe Market. I love, love, love this place! Now it’s even better with the new bowl options of chicken, roasted vegetables, and ribs, as well as, the new chicken gyro served with African coleslaw. All three bowls are served with cilantro rice, a green salad base, and a side of green salsa and pico de gallo. Yummm, serve me up one of those rib bowls!

Now let’s quickly run over to Restaurantosaurus where guests can relax in the restaurantosaurus lounge while drinking select beers, wines, and specialty alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages like the Tequilasaurus or the non-alcoholic Teal Rex made with pineapple and lemon juices, lemonade, and blue raspberry syrup. There are so many good sounding drinks on the menu I simply couldn’t list them all, you really need to see them all yourself! Guests can also pair their specialty drinks with a bowl of sweet-and-spicy mixed nuts or buffalo chicken dip served with house-made-chips.

Guests can also join some delicious meals at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter and Port Orleans-Riverside. Both having amazing food possibilities, but at French Quarter guests can try this new Beignet Burger at the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. This is one burger! Made with American cheese, bacon jam, pickled onions, bbq bayou sauce, and house-made pickles all served on a beignet bun! This sounds cool! I just might have to try it.

I really, really want to try this new meal. Found in Riverside at Boatwright’s Dining Hall is the all-you-can-eat Chef’s Platter. Seriously, you guys, listen to what comes in this! This platter comes complete with ribs, Nashville hot chicken, barbecued beef brisket, smoked sausages, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, street corn, and green beans! Woah! That is a lot of food and really calls to my southern roots!

Last up, for now at least, is the Tambu Lounge at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. All new to the menu at this resort are the appetizers Conch Ceviche served in a coconut and the shrimp cocktail marinated in Florida Citrus juices. In addition, guests can enjoy the crispy chicken spring rolled served with pickled vegetables, the beef carpaccio tataki with thinkly-sliced beef, or the Tambu mixed grill kebab with chicken, steak, and shrimp served grilled with peanut sauce.

Honestly, these all sound amazing! I may just have to spend a whole day eating at these places we mentioned. Which new food items at Disney World are you most interested in?
