There is also an assortment of wine glasses, and other homeware items. There is also an addition of a pilsner glass this year too! If you have a Halloween Town loving fur baby, you can even get them a NBC dog toy or two.

Some of the items are mixed in with other Halloween goodies, but there are some fabulous Displays to help point us in the right direction. There is even a reversible sequin emoji pillow! One direction of sequins has a smiling Jack Skellington face, and the other direction reveals Jack as the Pumpkin King!

I have some yummy news to share this afternoon! The cart in Adventureland is now offering a new flavor of house-made Spring Rolls. Introducing, The Reuben! Yep, just a little walk up cart across from the sign for the Enchanted Tiki Room is where you’ll find this tasty, if not a little bit of a fad, Disney snack.

New Reuben Spring Rolls Arrive in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park

Inside this crispy spring roll you’ll find deep fried sauerkraut, corned beef, and swiss cheese. Unfortunatley it’s missing the important thousand island dressing but we still enjoyed it. It’s definitely a unique snack at the Walt Disney World Resort. For $7.50 you’ll get two spring rolls and you can choose from The Reuben, cheeseburger, or regular vegetable versions of deep fried deliciousness.

You will also find a variety of beverages at the cart like soda and water. It makes for a nice stop before you board a cruise through the jungle on Jungle Cruise!

Ziploc Will Soon Be Providing Free Plastic Bags at Splash Mountain

Back in July, it was announced that Ziploc was partnering up with Disney in sponsoring Splash Mountain. Guests will be given Ziploc bags to keep their articles dry while they are on the ride. I am sure these will protect items much better than the mesh pockets that are currently provided for guests on Splash Mountain. The sponsorship was originally supposed to kick off in August, but that has yet to happen. It is supposed to start soon, however.

Ziploc is the most recent corporation to announce a partnership with Walt Disney World in the past few years. In 2017, it was announced that Simens would no longer sponsor Spaceship Earth at Epcot.

Ziploc also sponsors the 11 different countries in the World Showcase at Epcot. Within those 11 different countries are Kidcot Fun Stops. These are popular spots for families with small kids as children do not tend to like the World Showcase as much as adults. At these incredibly fun stops, kids of all ages can learn neat things about each country while taking part in a fun activity. Cast Members are on hand to share insights into the different countries.

Black Panther begins Academy Award Campaign

Walt Disney Studios has begun their 2018 Academy Award Campaign for Black Panther.

Studios campaign with the intent to get their movies seen by as many people as possible. They do this through ads, screenings, parties, lobbying, etc. The buzz created by these campaigns can sometimes be the difference between someone viewing a film or not. The greater the buzz, the more likely members of the Academy are to go and see them, thus increasing their chances of bringing home one of those shiny, golden men.

This year, Disney has begun their campaign for Black Panther and announced the list of awards they hope to be considered for. The categories Black Panther is hoping to be nominated for include:

Black Panther is the story of a modern, uncolonized utopian Africa and a modern African hero. Prince T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) becomes king of Wakanda (a hidden and technologically advanced kingdom) and must defend his throne against Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), a rogue mercenary. Wakanda’s elite security force is comprised of all females led by Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira. T’Challa’s tech-savvy sister (Letitia Wright) and mother (Angela Bassett) are also portrayed as strong, intelligent women who help to defend Wakanda and their king.

Halloween Time

This year, during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, Halloween-themed food and beverage is a part of the spooky storytelling and “fang-tastic” fun. From new items such as the orange sugar churro with candy corn dip and sweet potato hand pie, to returning favorites like the bat cookie and pumpkin spice beignets, there is something dreadfully delicious for everyone to enjoy during the Halloween season, which runs from Sept. 7 through Oct. 31, 2018.

Guests visiting Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks may also choose to order some of the festive Halloween treats such as the new Cruella de Vil brownie from Jolly Holiday Bakery Café or the new Oktoberfest dog from Award Wieners using the new mobile ordering feature on the Disneyland app.

Earl of Sandwich Will Temporarily Return to Disneyland Reosrt

Guess what Earl of Sandwich fans out West! Disneyland Resort has just confirmed that the popular sandwich shop will be returning to its original location in Downtown Disney in the near future. The quick-service eatery, inspired by John Montagu, the Earl who invented the sandwich in 1762 closed earlier this Summer.

It is unknown at this time how long Earl of Sandwich will be reopened. One can guess that the reopening is due to plans for Disneyland’s newest luxury resort being in limbo over a tax dispute with the City of Anaheim. Earl of Sandwich closed along with the AMC Theater, Rainforest Cafe, ESPN Zone, and Starbucks to make room for the new resort. Since plans are still on hold, we imagine the restaurant will be open indefinitely.

There’s lot more excitement in store for those visiting Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort. This Fall will bring the debut of the Salt & Straw ice cream shop, Ballast Point, and Black Tap Burgers & Shakes. Also, a re-imagined World of Disney Store and Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria will be unveiled. (Both World of Disney and Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria are open during the refurbishment.)
