Limited Release Valentine's Day Voodoo Doughnut

For a limited time, Voodoo Doughnut, located on CityWalk at Universal Orlando released special heart-shaped donuts for Valentines this year.

Voodoo Doughnut is known for it’s one of a kind unique creations, that are bursting with deliciousness in every bite. This year, Voodoo has added a fun Valentine’s Day themed donut to the menu. These fun heart-shaped doughnuts are available now through February 17^th. Complimenting the fun pastel pink and purple frosting is the surprise on the inside. Doughnuts are just better with filling. These cuties happen to be filled with hazelnut/Nutella!! It doesn’t get much better than that. My mouth is already watering!

Topping my list is the Bacon Maple Bar, which comes with the perfect amount of creamy maple frosting and strips of bacon on top. The sweet and salty combination is perfection.

Disney CEO Promises Marvel Will Continue to Make R-Rated Films

Good news, Marvel fanatics! No characters will have to have their mouths washed out with soap. Disney CEO promises Marvel will keep making R-rated movies like “Deadpool”.

In previous years, the Walt Disney Company has appreciated a clean image as the unmatched provider of family entertainment. That being said, things may get a lot more adult-friendly with the upcoming purchase of 21st Century Fox’s film and TV assets.

This $71.3 billion purchase will bring grown-up brands like FX and Fox Searchlight in the Disney world. This merger also means that Fox’s R-Rated Marvel characters like Deadpool and Logan will be reunited with the Avengers, who have kept in the PG-13 parameters.

Disney Chairman and CEO, Bob Iger, said that Disney plans to continue making R-rated movies like Deadpool and other Marvel adventures after it absorbs the large portion of Fox.

On a call with investors, Iger stated, “ We will continue in that business. There’s certainly popularity,” with those types of films.

Iger also hinted that these upcoming films will not be released under the Marvel or Disney banner. The company plans to make an effort to clearly brand the movies as R-rated to not confuse the consumer.

Shanghai Disney Celebrates Chinese New Year Tradition

Shanghai Disney Resort celebrated it’s third Chinese New Year with a special ceremony. The Chinese eye-dotting ceremony took place in front of Enchanted Storybook Castle to spread good-luck for guests and cast members in the coming year.

Philippe Gas, Shanghai Disney Resorts general manager, dotted the eyes of two traditional Chinese lions. This ceremony “awakens” the lions for the New Year.

Chinese New Year marks an important time of you where friends and families come together. Shanghai Disney has given guests the opportunity to celebrate the special traditions that are unique to the Chinese people over the years. This year, they celebrate the Year of the Pig with themed dining, shipping, decorations, and entertainment. Guests are invited to join in the fun, from now until February 19th.

Celebrations Around the World

Guests can also celebrate Chinese New Year around the world at other Disney Parks. Exclusive celebrations are taking place in Hong Kong Disneyland and Disneyland Resort in California too!

Hong Kong Disneyland celebrates the New Year with new outfits for Mickey and his friends. Guests are welcome to participate in Gog of Fortune Goofy Celebration Moment, a stage show in front of the castle. The Three Little Pigs will also be on had to celebrate in Fantasyland.

Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession will happen daily through February 17th at Disneyland Resort. Asian marketplaces will highlight Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cuisine in Disney California Adventure Park. Guests can even visit the Lucky Wishing Wall to add their own wishes for good luck!

Captain Marvel Tickets Available to Purchase Now

Save the date, take the day off work, or take a personal day, but grab your buddies and head to your local theaters March 8th. The highly anticipated Captain Marvel will be released March 8^th, 2019. Tickets are available to purchase now at fandango.com.

Set in the 1990s, it’s suggested to watch this movie after you’ve watched Infinity War. Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) transformation to Captain Marvel will undoubtedly influence how the Avengers defeat Thanos. Captain Marvel will follow Carol Danvers, a former Air Force pilot, who’s in the middle of an intergalactic war, come to terms with her alien and human origins.

Captain Marvel will officially be a PG-13 movie. The rating is for sequences of sci-fi violence and action along with brief suggestive language. The film is the first female solo movie for Marvel Studios.

More Marvel Cinematic Universe movies are being released in 2019. Upcoming movies include Avengers: Endgame, set to be released April 26^th. The second movie being released this year is Spider-Man: Far from Home, will arrive in your local theater July 5^th.

Disney announced yesterday that Captain Marvel will be the first title not available on Netflix. It will be the first video released on Disney+. Disney+ is a high-profile streaming service which is set to debut by the end of 2019. More information about the streaming service will be announced on April 11^th. Disney has yet to release the exact launch date.

SeaWorld Entertainment Appoints New CEO

SeaWorld Entertainment has appointed former Carnival Cruise Line COO, Gustavo Antorcha, as their new Chief Executive Officer. Gus will take over the position formerly held by Joel Manby, effective February 18th, 2019.

Antorcha states that he’s excited by SeaWorld’s growing commitment to wildlife conservation and hopes to continue trending in that direction as he takes on his new position. The new CEO stated, “I look forward to working with this talented group to enhance and accelerate these efforts and to help realize the full potential of this business for all stakeholders.”

SeaWorld found itself with a vacancy for the important position after Manby stepped down in February of 2018. This announcement came as the company posted a $20.4 million fourth-quarter net loss for 2017. John T. Reilly was named interim CEO for the remainder of last year. He now returns to his former position as Chief Operating Officer.

SeaWorld has struggled with public perception and declining revenue ever since the release of the documentary “Blackfish” in 2013. The company hopes that it’s renewed interest in wildlife conservation, as well as public education on conservation matters, help save-face.

SeaWorld Entertainment is currently building new headquarters in Orange County, Florida, which will be used for corporate and park employees of their two Florida theme parks.

This is a slim kids backpack which is perfect for pre-k, kinder, and early primary kids. It’s big enough to hold a few folders and notebooks for school, or snacks and toys for the park. It’s also not to big to be overwhelming our younger ones. When my son first started pre-k we had a hard time finding a backpack that didn’t make him tip over backwards, or wasn’t so tiny we couldn’t fit anything inside, this would have been the perfect one!

The backpack was vibrantly colored, with a nice durable material. We like a durable bag because they tend to go through the wringer in our house. The straps are adjustable, which is always great, and there’s a top carrying handle. We tested out a few packing trials, including putting all of his daily school gear in, our usual park assortment, and for fun my son even stuffed a regular sized fleece throw blanket inside. He seemed please with it’s capacity, so I give that a win! My son even gave this bag two thumbs up, and insisted on using it for school today. Troll Farting Glitter at Universal Orlando Resort Meet and Greet… You read this headline correctly. There is a Troll that farts glitter meeting and greeting guests at the Universal Orlando Resort.

The very naked “Guy Diamond” recently joined Branch and Poppy, who have been at the park doing meet and greets for some time now.

Guy Diamond is the resident “naked glitter Troll,” with heaps of body confidence and a unique idea of personal space from Dreamworks “Trolls” that came out in November of 2016. He is described as a “glitter party on two feet.”

I wasn’t sure it was possible, but they’ve outdone themselves in the cupcake world! This brand new Chocolate Cupcake with Strawberry Buttercream Icing is available at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.

How precious is the pink, swirled, strawberry buttercream icing topped with a “Princess hat” waffle cone, and finished with chocolate pearls and two chocolate Minnie ears?! Is your mouth watering yet?

Pixar’s SparkShorts Program Debuts First Three Films

Pixar Animation Studios recently debuted the first three films developed by SparkShorts, the new experimental storytelling program developed to help cultivate new innovative projects by the studio’s own creative staff. The trio of films debuted at Hollywood’s El Capitan theater for a limited run in January and the first of the three fims, Purl, launched today on the Disney•Pixar YouTube channel.

Meet Purl, an earnest yarn ball entering into the man’s world of B.R.O. enterprises where she yearns to fit in with the guys. How far will Purl go to be accepted? See the short below and hear from director Kristen Lester and producer Gillian Libbert-Duncan.

“The SparkShorts program is designed to discover new storytellers, explore new storytelling techniques, and experiment with new production workflows,” said Jim Morris, president of Pixar Animation Studios. “These films are unlike anything we’ve ever done at Pixar, providing an opportunity to unlock the potential of individual artists and their inventive filmmaking approaches on a smaller scale than our normal fare.”

“We want to nurture our future storytellers and encourage them to share their stories with the world. Who are the future directors and producers and what crazy new ideas do they have brewing? What is the next big breakthrough in our industry?” added Lindsey Collins, vice president of development for Pixar.

“Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of SparkShorts,” she continued. “The program was created to provide opportunities to a wide array of artists—each with something unique to say.”

SparkShorts’ other two films will be coming to the Disney•Pixar YouTube channel in the weeks to come:

Coming to the Disney•Pixar YouTube channel on February 11th, Smash and Grab, directed by Brian Larsen and produced by David Lally, shares the story of two antiquated robots who sacrifice everything for their freedom and one another after working tireless years in a locomotive engine room.

Kitbull, from producer Kathryn Hendrickson and director Rosana Sullivan, shares the story of an unlikely friendship between a stray kitten and a pitbull. Kitbull makes its Disney•Pixar YouTube channel debut on February 18th.

These SparkShorts films (along with future films) will also be available on Disney+, The Walt Disney Company’s direct-to-consumer streaming service launching in the U.S. later this year.
