It has been just 24 hours since tickets for Avengers: Endgame went on sale and theaters are already reporting sell-outs for opening night all over the country. Ticket sites were crashing for the overwhelming amount of traffic during the first few hours after the tickets went on sale as well. AMC reporting the biggest technical issues on their Twitter with this funny response to those not able to get on the site:
We want everyone to be able to grab their Avengers: Endgame tickets, but it looks like we've gotten Thanos' snap. We're working on getting things back up and running, and in the meantime, please keep trying our website and our partner sites!

A few hours later they came back with this tweet letting people know they had the site up and running again:
Thank you for your patience movie fans. Our website is back up! Please visit https://t.co/CA1GHbpWfA to get your tickets. We will let you know when the mobile app is functioning properly.

With all these people online to buy tickets it begs us to question “just how many did they sell?” Numbers haven’t surfaced yet but based off of this Tweet from Erik Davis, Managing Editor for Fandango it looks like they broke all records in just over 6 hours of ticket sales being live to the public.
