Disney Snack Fans Are A Sweet Way To Stay Cool On A Sunny Day

Looking to stay cool during the warm afternoons this summer? Disney has just the thing, and it’s pretty sweet too! New Disney Snack Fans are now in Disneyland, and are expected to arrive at Walt Disney World next week. Talk about a sweet way to stay cool.

We got to take a peek at them at the Disney Springs Merchandise preview, and instantly fell in love! There are three molded snack shaped fans available, a Dole Whip, a Mickey Lollipop, and a Mickey Ice Cream Sundae. These fans retail for $12.99 and come on satin cords with clasps, so you can comfortably wear them around your neck, a stroller, or attach to a bag. They may look tiny, but they are definitely mighty, and have a pretty good fan power for keeping cool.

You can find these sweet fans at World of Disney in Downtown Disney now, and look for them at World of Disney in Disney Springs next week. Which of these Disney Snack Fans is your favorite? Personally I think I need to collect them all!

The time for the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Dedication has almost arrived… The grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland is next week! We are so excited we have goosebumps just thinking about it. Chip will be on hand to cover the event in person and we will bring you all the coverage you could ask for on the opening. If you want to watch it first hand, Disney will be doing a live broadcast of the dedication ceremony!

Join them on the Disney Parks Blog May 29 at 8:20 p.m. PDT | 11:20 p.m. EDT for a first look at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and to see the historic dedication moment from Disneyland Resort in California. Special coverage will also be featured on Disney Parks Blog Facebook and @DisneyParks Twitter channels during the ceremony.

Disney Is Holding Auditions For Star Wars Stormtroopers

With Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening next week at Disneyland, there’s a new open casting call for performers to fill a very important role – Stormtroopers.

Disney is looking for performers to bring to life some of the most exciting characters in the Star Wars saga. Stormtroopers are needed to appear before thousands of guests each day, performing in meet-and-greets, as well as creating magical moments for guests.

If you’re looking to join the Dark Side, you must be between 5’10” and 6’0”, with a slender/athletic build. (I guess Mark Hamill IS a little short for a Stormtrooper.). Actors must have high energy levels and a full range of movement and improvisational skills.

I can’t imagine it’s easy to get around in those full body uniforms!

We learned earlier this month that Stormtroopers may be used to usher guests who try to out-stay their 4-hour time limit. I’m sure that they’ll have a big role to play when the “Rise of the Resistance” attraction opens in Galaxy’s Edge at a later date.

Casting directors will be on hand on Friday, May 24th in Downey, California for applicants looking to audition.

Today we were invited to a merchandise preview at Disney Springs, to check a Merchandise Summer Preview! Disney has revealed some great new collections coming this summer including new Imagination Pink, Harvey’s, Skyliner, and NBA Experience, and more!

We got to take a closer look at several of the new Monthly Designer Ears debuting this year. These ears were created in collaboration with fashion designers and iconic Disney artists.

Summer Rose and Imagination Pink Champagne coming to Disney Springs

Today at a special media event in Disney Spring we got a first look at the all-new Summer Rose Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberry treat with Imagination Pink Champagne from Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs.

The summer rose is a Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberry with white chocolate petals.

It is hard to see with the lighting but the rose actually shimmers, not bad for $8.

What better to go with your Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberry Rose but a glass of Imagination Pink Champagne?

It is an Iron Horse Fairytale Celebration Cuvee champagne with Hibiscus Monin Chambord liquor added. This will run you $18 for a glass but comes with a cute Imagination Pink Macaron.

These new treats are coming June 15th to Amorettes Patisserie in Disney Springs.

Also available till June 19th is the Aladdin Petit cake from Amorette’s. You can read all about it here.

The Aladdin cake is one of the best sellers and is only available till June 19th so you want to grab one of these before they are gone.

Exciting New Disney Skyliner Merchandise Revealed

Next fall, Walt Disney World debuts the Disney Skyliner! The new aerial gondola system connecting Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot with select hotels. To commemorate this grand event a Disney Skyliner Merchandise collection will be released late this summer.

Fun finds like coffee mugs, ornaments, figures, apparel, and a water bottle will bring the magic of the new Skyliner home to remember.

Exciting New Disney Skyliner Merchandise Revealed

You can add the Skyliner to your own model of Walt Disney World. These fun replicas join the toy models of the monorail, and park icons!

The ornaments are one of my favorite keepsakes from this new collection. The glass ornaments capture the designs of the gondola buckets so perfectly!

You can show your love for the newest mode of Disney transportation with the unisex t-shirt, or baseball cap, both featuring the year “2019” as the release.

First Look at Full Magic Mirror and Imagination Pink Collections

Magic Mirror and Imagination Pink Collections

Last week we checked out the exciting sneak peek of the new Magic Mirror, and Imagination Pink Minnie Ears heading to the Disney Parks this June. Revealed today at a special Disney Springs event is the entire Magic Mirror and Imagination Pink Collections! It’s not just Minnie Ears, and a Spirit Jersey, there are lots of fun accessories too!

the Magic Mirror collection is a silver holographic style, with lots of bubbly Mickey icons. There are TWO bags from Loungefly for this collection, a Minnie Backpack, and a Large Tote! Also included in this collection is a lanyard ID holder, a key chain, and a phone case.

First Look at Full Magic Mirror and Imagination Pink Collections

I’m always excited when LoungeFly collaborates with matching accessories for the latest color trend ears. This time around instead of a glitter coated style, they have designed a clear plastic style! It has a fun 90s throw back vibe, especially with the holographic Mickey bubbles. The mini backpack has the same traditional shape with the front zip pocket, and zip over top. The large tote, which is a new style for the Disney Loungefly color trend collaborations, has a glitter bottom, and comes with a matching silver Mickey insert. This is for sure a great beach or pool bag.

The matching accessories really pull the whole set together. The Mickey phone case has the same holographic silver as the bags, but this time the Mickey icons are the cutouts. The key chain is a cute mini replica of the ears, and the ID lanyard is a great way to stay hands free and stylish.

Of course we had to take an up close peak at these beautiful iridescent beauties. The oil slick holographic bow is just sensational!

I’m personally already obsessed with the Imagination Pink collection! Joining the sizzling hot Minnie Ears for this assortment, is a Spirit Jersey, Loungefly Backpack, Key Chain, and ID Lanyard.

I already said it about the Minnie Ears, but this backpack is SIZZLING HOT! The bold fuchsia really makes this beauty stand out, and it topped off with a darling Minnie bow. The silver accents make a beautiful contrast on this bag as well.

The ID Lanyard is available in both Magic Mirror, and Imagination Pink. This is also a Loungefly accessory. and is coated in shimmery micro sequins. As you can see on the flip side, there is slots to add your cards, and ID, it’s also great for slipping in a larger bag.

A new solid colored MagicBand is also coming out soon. This band is a hot pink, which will join the original pink, and millennial pink. You can also carry your love for the new Imagination Pink ears with a matching mini key chain!

The Imagination Pink ears are little different than the traditional color trend Minnie Ears. These have a shiney lurex glittery material like the Briar Rose Gold Minnie Ears, and a sequined bow. Up close we can see that the bow is actually a lighter color than the ears, which gives some depth, and POP!

Virgin Trains USA Begins Construction Between Orlando and South Florida

Traveling from Orlando Internation Airport (MCO) and South Florida will be getting easier! Virgin Trains USA (formally Brightline) announced the beginning of construction on 170 miles of new tracks! This new train services will whisk passengers from central Florida to the south!

“Connecting Central and South Florida will bring thousands of jobs today and by modernizing infrastructure, we will strengthen Florida’s economy for decades,” said Patrick Goddard, President of Virgin Trains USA.

During this phase of construction, Virgin Trains USA will create more than 10,000 jobs. In addition to this, they will raise over $650 million in federal, state and local tax revenue.

Scope of Rail Construction

This Phase 2 of construction will occur in four zones between Orlando and West Palm Beach. Work on the first 2 zones began yesterday. The expansion will go into the new South Terminal at the Orlando International Airport.

Zone One is approximately 70 acres located one mile south of Orlando International Airport for a maintenance shop. Where Zone Two is a 3.5-mile section in the main part of Orlando International Airport.

According to Virgin Trains USA, Zones Three and Four are “imminent.” In Zone Three, there will be approximately 35 miles of rail alignment following the Highway 528 corridor between the airport and Cocoa. After, Zone Four will include the upgrade of 129 miles of existing track from Class IV to Class VI! This will allow service up to 110 MPH!

At the end of construction, you will be able to ride the train from the Orlando International Airport all the way down to West Palm Beach! This will save you time!

This phase of construction is expected to be complete and service will begin between South Florida and Orlando in 2022.

Most importantly, the company also has announced plans to develop service between Orlando’s airport and Tampa with a station at Walt Disney World! We can’t wait!

There is a new Summer One World Ticket option for Walt Disney World!

The One World Summer Ticket is a fantastic way to experience the newest and most exciting features of the theme parks and waterparks at Walt Disney World.

Beginning June 4th, you can purchase the Summer One World Ticket for a total price of $444 plus tax. This price includes admission to each of the theme parks and waterparks (6 admissions total) for only $74 plus tax EACH!

The Summer One World Tickets must be purchased between June 4th and August 23rd, 2019. The tickets must be used June 4th – August 28th, 2019.

The Summer One World Tickets are flexible. You are welcome to visit more than one park per day (use more than one admission per day) instead of spreading the admissions out over a six-day period.

Disney’s Mobile Ordering Service is Expanding at Walt Disney World.

Are you a fan of the mobile ordering service Disney recently unveiled? Well, guess what! Disney’s mobile ordering service is expanding to select Walt Disney World Resort hotels! You read that right, even more locations are now providing this amazing service.

Over the next few months, Disney’s mobile ordering service is expanding to a few select resorts. Currently, the mobile ordering service is available at over 20 quick-service locations throughout the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and the Disney Springs area. In addition, the mobile ordering service also includes the Centertown Markey and Spyglass Grill at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.

Now the service will be expanding to Everything POP Shopping and Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Contempo Café located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

In case you missed what this service is all about. The mobile ordering service allows guests to order from these locations through the My Disney Experience App from any location. If you are currently at Epcot and are heading to the Magic Kingdom, go ahead and order from your My Disney Experience App for your meal to be ready once you arrive. Once you get there, guests who used the service can then skip the lines!! That’s right, head straight to the pick-up counter and enjoy your meal! Plus, if you are on the dining plan you can also use this service as the new and improved app allows guests to redeem meals and snacks while using the online tool.

Disney’s Live Action Aladdin: A Non Spoiler Review

Make way for Prince Ali!!

We were invited to watch an advanced screening of the new live action version of Disney’s Aladdin. There was a lot of excitement amongst the crowd who attended the screening. There have been mixed reviews of the film since it was announced that it would be coming to the big screen in a live action adaptation.

I have watched the animated version of Aladdin numerous times with my kids and I was excited to see this version. It’s run time was 2 hours and 8 minutes.

The film a beautifully diverse cast which makes the movie feel authentic. Will Smith has been criticized in the role of Genie, however we found that he brought the role to life and was a wonderful Genie. He performed in song and dance.

Mena Massoudn and Naomi Scott gave life to Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. They had wonderful chemistry on the screen and gave justice to the iconic Alan Menken song, A Whole New World. Jasmine also sings a new song which really defines the character. Marwan Kenzari gave an evil yet fantastic performance as Jafar with Iago as his sidekick. The movie revolves around love, friendship, loyalty and girl power!

The special effects in this film were Incredibly authentic from the cave of wonders to the magic carpet ride! The choreography in the musical numbers were amazing to watch.

Don’t close your eyes because it’s going to take you on a shining, shimmering and splendid experience. The movie comes out this Friday, May 24.

Miss Mindy Coming to Disneyland Paris!

Miss Mindy is coming to Disneyland Paris on the 1st of June! She will be in the Disney Gallery Shop in the Disney Village, autographing pieces sold in the shop from 12-2 pm and 5-7 pm. To celebrate Miss Mindy, there will be new pieces from her “Miss Mindy Vinyl” collection to be presented as well!

Who is Miss Mindy?

Miss Mindy is an artist from Eagle Rock, California who creates fine artwork which she describes as “cartoon folk art”. Miss Mindy’s work ranges from fluid ink work to hand-crafted, dimensional “pop up” paintings.

Born into a big-hearted family of artists and designers, Miss Mindy has always been surrounded by creativity. With her biggest inspiration coming from her grandmother Mary, who worked as an ink and paint girl at Disney in the 1930’s on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs & Pinocchio. Her Sister, CJ Metzger is also a tremendous ‘paint-ress’, fellow collaborator and muse.

Miss Mindy has been a prolific professional artist for many years. She continues to paint commissions for her private collectors, and showcase her paintings and sculpture. She also Character designs for animation studios like Disney, WildBrain, and Warner Brothers. She’s directed her own cartoon with Nickelodeon Animation, and has some treats in store for the future! Miss Mindy’s world is a circus of the unexpected. Her extravagant kingdom re-imagines Disney’s most iconic and beloved characters and presents them in a unique new collection!
