Mickey’s 90^th celebration is continuing as we celebrate 90 years of Mickey with a surprise party at sea! This special 90^th celebration is exclusive on board the magnificent Disney Fantasy.

Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise party at sea to celebrate 90 years of Mickey will kick off this week! Won’t be making it aboard the Disney Fantasy this week? Don’t worry! The celebration will continue on select Caribbean and Bahamian sailings through the end of August.

As we celebrate 90 years of Mickey, guests can expect a high-energy afternoon deck party! Of course, no party is complete without music, dancing, games, food and special décor. Guests will be dancing the afternoon away with the guests of honor, dressed in their fun new confetti birthday outfits, and all of their favorite pals!

While you party the afternoon away on the deck be sure to head over to Sweet on You to treat yourself to some birthday-themed gelato and cupcakes to honor Mickey and Minnie! Guests can also enjoy Mickey ice cream bars, Mickey-shaped pretzels, and specialty drinks in a commemorative Mickey-shaped cup!

Guests can then end the party by purchasing special commemorative merchandise celebrating Mickey and Minnie’s party at Sea! I have my eye on the t-shirts and drinkware! You can also purchase hats, lanyards and stateroom magnets while on board!

WDW Extending Hours for Minnie Van Shuttle

Walt Disney World‘s Minnie Van shuttle service is extending their hours for resort guests starting June 2nd. Prior to the 2nd, the Minnie Van would provide guests using the airport shuttle services starting at 7 A.M. and ending at midnight. Now, services for the airport will begin at 6 A.M. This change will not effect normal Minnie Van operating hours.

This undeniably cute and stylish mode of transportation has been helping resort guests and offers multiple accommodations for families on vacation. Designed like one of our favorite style icons, Minnie Mouse, this red and white polka dot van can be spotted from a mile away. The vehicle fits up to six guests comfortably and can hold up to six medium-sized suitcases. The van also offers up to 3 car seat for families traveling with younger children.

To book a Minnie Van for your loved ones, you can call (407) 939-7529 for assistance. You have the option to book your shuttle up to 6 months in advance. For domestic flights, you will need to request your pickup time for at least 2 hours prior to departure. For international flights, your pick up time will have to be for 3 hours prior to flight departure. Make sure you have your flight information readily available.

Booking a Minnie Van shuttle service costs $150 (gratuity not included) each way to and from the Orlando International Airport. Additional prices vary on distance. If you need to cancel for any reason, you will have to do so 24 hours prior to your originally scheduled pick up time, in order to receive a refund. Any further information for the Minnie Van can be found on the Walt Disney World Resort website.

Bo Peep is now greeting guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Get ready to meet Bo Peep in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Audiences were first introduced to her in the first “Toy Story” movie that debuted in 1995. 24 years later, the gang is back!

Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” will be released in theaters on June 21, 2019, where Bonnie takes the toys on her family’s road trip! After an unexpected detour, Woody and Bo Peep cross paths again in an antique shop. Bo Peep has changed and her adventurous spirit introduces Woody to the carnival.

This summer Bo Peep will be making her way around the world! She will greet guests in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida! She will also make special appearances in Disneyland Paris, Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure park and at Disney Parks in Asia!

Star Wars Tikis Add Enchantment To Drinks At Oga’s Cantina

You won’t have to travel to a galaxy far, far away to get your hands on new treasured tiki mugs. Now available at Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge are two new Star Wars Tikis, with some tasty libations served within! Fans of the Tikis of Disney are going to want to check these out for sure.

The Souvenir Endor Mug is served with the Yub Nub cocktail. The name comes from the “Yub Nub” song which is an Ewok celebration. The panoramic battle of Endor scene stretching around this mug perfectly compliments the name of this boozy punch that is mixed with pineapple and spiced rum with fruit juice. This cocktail is $42, and includes the tiki mug.

My personal favorite is the Souvenir Porg Tiki mug! This little guy comes with the aptly named “Cliff Dweller”. Citrus juices mixed with coconut and hibiscus Grendadine add a kick to bubbly Seagram’s ginger ale. This tiki is beautifully sculpted to look just like our fluffy friends from Ahch-To. You can enjoy one of these bubbly brews for $32.00, and that includes the cup. Remember you can drink from this Porg, but please don’t try to eat it!

New Details Released for Food and Wine Festival

The 23rd Epcot International Food & Wine Festival brings a world of tastes together in one place, ready for guests to explore and enjoy. Held Aug. 30-Nov. 12, 2018, the event features more than 30 global marketplaces showcasing edible and drinkable delights.

The countdown is on for the 24th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival! This event kicks off on August 29th and we just received more details on how you can even more fun than before!

A few new celebrity chefs are making with Food and Wine Festival debut this year! Don’t miss restaurateur Fabio Viviani (Sept. 15), Aarti Sequeira from Food Network Star (Nov. 17), and cookbook author of “Life is a Party” and husband to Neil Patrick Harris, David Burka (Oct. 13)!

The Sunday Brunch with the Chef experience will also be returning to the festival. Several chefs are appearing this year including Jamie Deen (Sept. 1), Carla Hall (Sept. 8), Richard Blais (Sept. 22), Robert Irvine (Sept. 29) and Graham Elliot (Nov. 10). Reservations are highly recommended for this experience.

Don’t miss the Eat to the Beat Concert Series on your trip! You can check out the lineup here. India, Taylor Dayne, and Kenny G have also been added! Alien Pizza Planet Restaurant Renovation is Complete at Disneyland!

OOOO! The Claw! The Alien Pizza Planet Restaurant refurbishment is done! Located in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park, this iconic restaurant is a must-do when visiting the parks.

Guests can spot this iconic restaurant by looking for the giant Pizza Planet rocket ship located at the entrance to the restaurant.

With a fun décor, Alien Pizza Planet speaks to everyone in your party. Located above you on the ceiling is a solar system replica. Can you name all the planets?! Also located on the ceiling are giant green aliens that are descending down onto to you. You have been chosen!

The menu consists of some Italian food choices. With a buffet style set up inside, guests can choose between pasta, such as Count Down Chicken Fusilli pasta or a Terra Nova Vegetable Pasta. Guests can also choose between different pizza slices, such as the traditional Pepperoni or Vegetable Forest Pizza. If your whole family is wanting pizza, a whole pizza is also available for purchase.

Finish off your meal by adding a side of salad or breadsticks before washing your meal down with some of the Alien Pizza Planet Restaurant specialty drinks, such as the Alien Ice Slush, fountain beverages or water.

Toy Story 4 Take Over Coming To The Disney Store All June Long

Round up the gang, a Toy Story 4 Take Over is coming to your local Disney Store! Starting June 1 at 3pm, visit the Disney Store to experience an immersive, one-of-a-kind Toy Story 4 transformation. Disney stores (excluding outlets) in the U.S. and Canada, will bring the adventures of Woody and his friends to life with games, trivia and the latest assortment of toys, apparel and accessories inspired by Toy Story 4.

Vanessa Lachey and her daughter Brooklyn helped unveil the latest transformation coming to the Disney Store, just look how adorable they look with the giant sized Forky above!

Throughout the month of June (June 1 – 30), you will be able to enjoy a whole variety of fun activities at Disney store locations (excluding outlets).

Every day guests can enjoy free Toy Story inspired event and trivia for the whole family! These events will take place each day from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at their store’s local time. There will also be fun games to play! You, and your little ones can test your gaming skills with “Star Adventurer”! This is a game where you will need to toss a ball to help fuel a rocket’s engine! I don’t know about you but that sounds like a lot of fun to play at the store! In addiction to “Star Adventurer” you can also enjoy two interactive digital games inspired by Toy Story 4! Play along side fan favorites like Buzz, Woody, the Aliens, new comers Ducky & Bunny, and more!

Fans in the New York area can visit the Disney store at Times Square for a paid photo experience on the Disney store Times Square Spectacular screen and get their hands on a limited-edition pin as part of one of the photo experience packages. I might just be a little bit jealous I can’t make it to New York City in June!

Enjoy an Elote Hot Dog at Disneyland!

Disneyland’s Refreshment Corner has a new hot dog to try! The Elote Hot Dog puts a Mexican spin on a traditional hot dog.

Fans of the Elote Corn on the Cob in Disney California Adventure will no doubt love this new creation. A classic hot dog is covered in Mexican street corn, chipotle mayonnaise and cotija cheese. Chili powder tops the dog for some added spice and a lime wedge completes the entrée.

The hot dog is big and could definitely be shared by two. It can be a tad messy, so grab a fork and knife when you check-out!

The Elote Hot Dog will cost you $11.49 and it is served with a side of chips. If this isn’t your style, the Refreshment Corner also offers the delicious mac and cheese dog and a traditional chili cheese dog. After you enjoy one of these savory treats, grab something sweet like the brownie bites to complete the meal.

“Following in Aladdin’s Footsteps” Part 4

Following in Aladdin’s Footsteps’ Part 4, today as we celebrate Disney’s live-action Aladdin in cinemas, Disneyland Paris is sharing Aladdin’s adventures through Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park! This adventure immerses guests in Aladdin’s memorable moments through Agrabah and through many Arabian Nights! Today we are focusing on the Agrabah Café Restaurant in Disneyland Park, which offers guests a feast with foods inspired by the film!

After so many emotions (see our articles from previous parts, part 1, part 2 and part 3), what better way to celebrate Aladdin and friends than with the appetizing array of Oriental specialities that Restaurant Agrabah Café offers. Such Oriental specialities are offered in the heart of Adventureland Bazaar.

Guests enter the Adventureland Bazaar greeted by the impressive Djinn painted at the entrance and offers guests the chance to have their three wishes. By entering into the restaurant, guests walk into the “city of mystery and enchantment”, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Guests will find themselves in a maze of alleys as they feel immersed in the Agrabah! The restaurant offers a variety of tastes and smells from kebabs, skewers, spicy dishes and oriental sweets: there is something for everyone!

It was once said that the Sultan adored stories and used them as a way to entertain his beloved daughter. He always offered a good meal and an adventurous story to go with it. The walls of the city are filled with many frescoes and other references to these fabulous legends, as taught by “L’Echoppe d’Aladin”, in homage to the famous tale!

The most attentive visitors will note that the name of our hero has here only one “d”, unlike the cartoon. This is because Adventureland Bazar opened in April 1992, more than a year before the film was released in France and the Imagineers have taken over the spelling that is found in the original tale. At the time, it was a real souk where visitors could get lost at leisure and discover different shops offering Disney souvenirs and oriental handicrafts made before their eyes.

It was transformed into a restaurant on December 23, 1999, but the names of certain spaces keep the memory of that time. This is also the case of “La Reine des Serpents”, who once offered “exotic gifts”, and now welcomes guests near the patio. The perfect place to relax with a good mint tea while the tinkling copperware hanging from the walls echoes the darbouka, the zurna and other oriental instruments that we feast on!

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opens today (May 31st) and I was lucky enough to preview the land for the past couple of days. I wanted to give you a rundown of the restaurants, stores, rides and more inside of Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland.

So let us start off with an overlook of the land itself. The details are amazing. From the Millenium Falcon to the shops and even the hidden Easter eggs.

For me, one of the highlights I love is the Food of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. From Ronto Roasters, the Launching Bay 7 and even the Milk Stand the foods do not disappoint. Let’s take a look at the Foods and places of Galaxy’s Edge to get your grub on.

For many, the shops and merchandise hold a near and dear place in their hearts. From Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, to the Droid Depot, and the Market Place there is something for every level of Star Wars fan out there. Let’s take look.

Finally, let’s take a look at Millenium Falcon Smugglers Run!

A New Series of Harry Potter EBooks are Coming Soon

A new series of Harry Potter eBooks are coming soon! This non-fiction series will feature four short reads exploring the history of traditional folklore and magic.

The eBook shorts are inspired by the British library exhibition and its companion books, Harry Potter: A History of Magic. In addition, there will be some new line drawings by London-based artist Rohan Daniel Eason.

The eBooks are adapted from the audiobook, in a more compact form. Notes, manuscript pages, and sketches that have been seen previously in Harry Potter: A History of Magic will also be included.

The eBooks are each themed after a Hogwarts lesson and are as follows: Harry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Potions and Herbology, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy, and Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures.

The first two books will be published on June 27 and the other two will follow in the months ahead. They are available to pre-order on Amazon US, Amazon UK, Apple, and Kobo.
