Salma Hayek Possibly Joining the Cast of Marvel Studios ‘The Eternals’. Reports from ComicBook.com say that Salma Hayek and Marvel Studios are “in talks” regarding a role in the upcoming Marvel film, The Eternals.

The only confirmed cast for the film includes actors Richard Madden and Kumail Nanjiani, and in the report about Salma, there is no mention of Angelina Jolie or Keanu Reeves. Though the two have been approached by Marvel Studios in regards to the film, it appears they are either negotiating contracts with the Studio, or Marvel is keeping the casting decisions quiet until a later date.

“Well, one of the cool things about that property and what Jack Kirby did with it and what’s been done with it in recent years is it does tie into they’re called Eternals, they’ve been around for a long time. You know?” Feige said. “There’s this notion of all of these myths and legends that we know from ancient times, were they inspired by the Eternals? Were they Eternals? It’s a very … you know, it’s an ancient aliens kind of sci-fi trope that we think would be fun to explore someday.”

You might be asking yourself, “Wait. So… who are “The Eternals”?”

According to a synopsis of the relatively unknown comic series in Production Weekly, “The story of The Eternals is set millions of years ago when the cosmic beings known as the Celestials genetically experimented on humans, creating the super-powered individuals as well as more villainous off-shoots known as the Deviants. The two groups went on to battle each other throughout history to see which would eventually become the ultimate race. The story involves the love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes in moving amongst humans.”

Marvel Fans are chomping at the bit to hear of any news regarding this film and with the talks of casting choices still up in the air, it’s no wonder so many names of talented individuals are being thrown into the ring. Regardless of Marvel’s casting choices, we can’t wait to see Marvel Studios The Eternals when it hits theaters!

Construction Walls Up Around the Chinese Theatre!

Construction walls are up around the Chinese Theatre, as it has been nearly two years since the beloved Great Movie Ride attraction took its final bow. The ride closed permanently to make way for a new attraction called “Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway“. Whilst there used to be walls around the entrance of the Theatre around last year, this has now been removed. Instead, there appear to be construction walls up around the Chinese Theatre. Whilst we are aware that there will no changes to the front of the iconic Chinese Theatre, we are uncertain as to why there are walls to the side!

“Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway” is set to be Disney’s first “Mickey-themed ride-through attraction”! The attraction was announced during D23 Expo in Japan by Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts! The attraction will feature a catchy new theme song as well as a new experience which “defies logic that we’re calling 2 ½-D. No glasses required”. According to Disney Parks Blog! Lion King Inspired Lunch at Hakuna Matata Restaurant Disneyland Paris!

During the Lion King & Jungle Festival, guests can enjoy an exotic Lion King inspired lunch at Hakuna Matata Restaurant at Disneyland Paris! This exciting lunch boasts mouthwatering foods whilst diving into an African atmosphere with familiar faces such as Rafiki and Mickey!

When lion cubs, warthogs and meerkats feel weary from their adventure, Hakuna Matata Restaurant will be open for a unique and immersive experience, inviting guests to taste exotic flavours inspired by the Lion King universe. This experience is also included in the Signature Experience package The Lion King!

Hakuna Matata Restuarant will be open from 11 am to 3 pm and boast foods such as Yassa sauce chicken, broken rice, plantain bananas, beef balls, sautéed shrimp, raw vegetable salad and sweet and sour peanuts.

Please note a vegan alternative and a special menu for the young cubs will also be available.

Lion King Inspired Lunch at Hakuna Matata Restaurant Disneyland Paris!

How You Can Celebrate the 4th of July at Walt Disney World. Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort during Independence Day will have many ways to celebrate this patriotic holiday. Whether you enjoy themed food and beverages, festive decorations, unique entertainment, or a fireworks spectacular, there is a way for guests of any age to celebrate at Walt Disney World Resort this July 4th.

Magic Kingdom Park – Park Hours: July 3, 8 a.m.-12 a.m.; July 4, 8 a.m.-1 a.m.

“Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” will offer booming red, white, and blue fireworks orchestrated to patriotic melodies at Magic Kingdom Park on both July 3rd and July 4th at 9:15 p.m.

Fans who are not able to join in the Independence Day celebration at the park can view a special July 4 live stream of the dazzling fireworks display via the Disney Parks Blog. The fireworks are just one of the many ways to celebrate the 4th of July at Magic Kingdom Park:

A fuzzy cast of Muppets – Miss Piggy, Kermit, Fozzie Bear and friends will reenact famous moments in American history in a whimsical way during “The Muppets Present … Great Moments in History.” A live show that is performed several times daily near the Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square.
Guests of all ages can dance the night away with DJs spinning tunes at a Hoedown Throwdown in Frontierland and an out-of-this-world Galactic Gathering in Tomorrowland.

Epcot – Park Hours: July 4, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

“IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” will end its nearly 20-year run on September 30, 2019. Meaning, this will be the last year to experience the patriotic 4th of July grand finale of this beloved nighttime spectacular. “The Heartbeat of Freedom” fireworks extravaganza will begin immediately following the 9 p.m. “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” display. Here are more ways you can celebrate Independence Day with special entertainment planned at Epcot:

The Voices of Liberty will be performing great American tunes during a Fourth of July concert on the America Gardens Theatre stage at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m. on July 4th. The group will also perform in the rotunda inside The American Adventure pavilion at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Guests can meet their favorite Disney characters wearing their “Spirit of 76” patriotic attire at The American Adventure throughout the day on July 4th.
And guests can indulge in holiday themed eats and sips honoring Independence Day throughout Epcot – everything from patriotic cupcakes and special dining packages to red, white, and blue sangria and a Boom Berry Lemonade.

Special decorations, themed food and beverage options, and more holiday festivities can be found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and through out the Walt Disney World Resorts!

Spider-Man: Far From Home Receives 90% Fresh Rating From Rotten Tomatoes. The reviews are in and with 87 critics weighing in the popular review page has certified Spider-Man: Far From Home with a Fresh rating.

Rotten Tomatoes Critic Consensus states, “A breezily unpredictable blend of teen romance and superhero action, Spider-Man: Far from Home stylishly sets the stage for the next era of the MCU.” The Certified Fresh rating is one of the highest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, tying with Captain America: The Winter Soldier at a 90% rating. Both films sit in the 9th place slot for the MCU on the Rotten Tomatoes percentage scale.

Hollywood Studios Entrance Construction Update

Lots of changes are coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios park. Park goers are highly anticipating the August opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Mickey and Mickey’s Runaway Railway is still being worked on as well. In addition, the entrance of the park is also under construction and changes are being made to make room for and assist larger crowds.

Construction continues for the new Skyliner Station outside of the park entrance. The gondolas will take guests from Hollywood Studios to Disney’s new Riviera Resort and the existing Caribbean Beach Resort. The gondolas are finished and depict different Disney and Disney/Pixar characters. The Skyliner transport will open in the fall of this year.

Other construction taking place at Hollywood Studios, is the entrance itself. Since high volumes of guests are expected for the Galaxy’s Edge opening, the park needs to be prepared. In order to accommodate a larger crowd, more security and bag check stations are in construction. These structures will have the same roofing to match the colors and theme of the Hollywood Studios entrance. There is still some fencing in place around the old security kiosks, which are being refurbished. Hopefully the construction and refurbishment will be finished before the debut date for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Today, Universal Orlando Resort’s seventh hotel – Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites – opened its doors to guests as the destination’s first Value Category hotel. Universal Orlando now offers a hotel for every style, every family and every budget, complete with exclusive theme park benefits and a seamless vacation experience.

Brought to life by the award-winning Universal Creative team, Surfside Inn and Suites offers guests a relaxed and easy retreat, with a surf and beach vibe woven throughout the hotel. The 750-room hotel is the destination’s seventh property in partnership with Loews Hotels & Co., giving guests the immersive experience they have come to expect at a Universal Orlando hotel with rates starting as low as $73 per night for a 7-night stay.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse Now Streaming On Netflix. Marvel fans will now have an answer to “What do you want to watch on Netflix?”

Time to pop the popcorn, turn down the lights, and cuddle up on the couch! The Oscar winning film for Best Animated Feature Film by Marvel and Sony Pictures Animation, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, is now available for viewing via Netflix.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse meant the world to fans who felt the films story resonate with their own lives. Both with the representation of Shameik Moore’s performance as Miles Morales, and from countless stories from fans around the world. Director, Bob Perisichetti, shared a heartwarming story he received from a fan via a direct message on social media.

“We were working so hard, we were very late in delivering the film so we didn’t really have a moment of pause before the reactions started pouring in,” Perisichetti said. “So it was kind of shocking to immediately go from the mix stage to a premiere and a release, but the positivity has been so incredible. There’s one really good story that Rodney has, but I’ve got one that I shared with you from a father of a really good friend of my son who saw this movie and sent a really incredible DM to me about how he grew up in Brooklyn, how he was this sort of really nerdy somewhat cool kid who loved Peter Parker and saw this film with his son and was just talking about how if he had this when he was a kid how much this would’ve meant to him. And he was so happy to share it with his son. So for me, it’s those moments that just make you go, ‘Oh, this is wonderful.'”

Into the Spider-verse features 7 different Spider-Man lead characters from the comics: Peter Parker, Peter B. Parker, Peter Parker (Spider-Man Nior), Gwen Stacy (Spider-Woman), Peter Porker (Spider-Ham), Peni Parker, and the featured character, Miles Morales.

After a series of unexpected events, these Spider-Men and Spider-Women team up to fight evil and work together to get back to their respective dimensions. Without spoiling the film, it is an excellent story filled with drama, comedy, action, told through a unique animation style that closely resembles the art style called “Ben Day dots” most commonly used in comics books.

With the film performing better than the studios could have hoped for and the excellent response from fans, Marvel and Sony Picture Animation are working towards releasing another animated featured film in the near future. In the meantime, those with a Netflix membership can enjoy watching Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse!

Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue will take the place of Liberty Inn in Epcot

Bring on the BBQ and craft brews! There is a new fast-casual barbeque restaurant that will replace the Liberty Inn. Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue will take the place of Liberty Inn, which will close July 8 to make way for this mouth-watering experience in World Showcase.

Later this year the new location will bring a modern BBQ smokehouse feel with a large smoker preparing the food in the pavilions promenade. There will also be delish craft brews on hand for you to enjoy while relaxing inside Epcot. Stay tuned for more updates as we have them!

As previously mentioned, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is expanding its royal services to a new location at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! The boutique will officially open its doors on the 6th August but starting today guests can book their magical makeover in this new location!

Anthony Mackie Discusses 10-Movie Deal with Marvel Studios and His New Role

Anthony Mackie Discusses 10-Movie Deal with Marvel Studios and His New Role. During an interview with Men’sHealth, Anthony Mackie got to delve into his role as Sam Wilson/Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), his relationship with Marvel Studios, and how he found out he would be taking on the mantle of Captain America.

While discussing his role as Sam Wilson/Falcon with Men’sHealth, Mackie said, “Growing up, I’d always loved Falcon, because he was a comic-book hero who was black who didn’t have ‘Black’ in the title.” He continued, “He stood on his morals. He stood on who he was.”

“We wanted to make sure Sam felt like an equal to Steve Rogers both in disposition and in charm,” says Marvel Producer, Nate Moore. “We knew we’d be sunk if we cast a younger actor, or an actor without weight. But when we sat down with Anthony, the Russo brothers and I realized that here was an incredibly talented, credible actor who would be believable as a former serviceman who would be capable of pulling Steve out of his shell in the modern day.”

“He has charisma, but he also has the ability to convey integrity in a way that very few actors can,” said Marvel Director, Joe Russo. “And there’s a level of trust between him and the audience.”

Anthony wasn’t even told he was cast as Sam Wilson until 2 months prior to the filming of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and since moving forward, it has been a whirlwind adventure. Mackie initially signed a 10-movie deal with Marvel Studios, became best friends with Chris Evans, and was genuinely surprised by the news he would be the next Captain America for the MCU.

“We don’t want anything to leak, so we keep everything a secret from the actors, especially Mackie,” Director Anthony Russo says with a laugh. He added, “His performance comes across as genuine, because it’s the way he actually felt: both vulnerable and steadfast.”

Mackie was unaware of his new role until a fateful day during the filming of Endgame. Anthony Mackie and a few other friends from Hollywood were watching football at Chris Evans’s house. Before that moment, Mackie hadn’t seen the entire Endgame script yet. At this realization, “Chris gets the look of a six-year-old kid on his face, runs away, and comes back with the script,” Mackie recalled. “I’m reading it, and it dawns on me what’s happening.”

Anthony claims it didn’t feel real until he was approached on set. “They were like, ‘Are you ready for tomorrow? You’re getting your shield,’” he remembers. “I’m like, ‘Get the f*** out of here.’ ” Mackie had never even touched the shield prior to this moment; now it was being handed over to him by someone he considers to be a best friend. As he recalled the moment he referred to it feeling, “like winning the Oscar. I was nervous. I was excited. I was stumbling over words.”

When asked how it feels to hold the ‘vibranium’ shield, “It’s unbalanced,” Mackie says. “And it’s heavy.”

“I love Chris. Chris is an amazing Cap,” Mackie said during a convention appearance. “And I feel like, what he’s been able to do with that character, very few people have been able to do in any cinematic universe or span of films. Because he’s played Cap for A LOT of movies. To take that over, to be a part of that, the legacy of that, is a huge challenge. It’s something where a lot of people are going to expect me to be Chris Evans in the same suit, but a black dude. And that’s definitely not gonna happen.”

Though Marvel Studios has announced a Falcon and Winter Soldier series is coming to Disney+, Mackie has only participated in the filming of 5 out of 10 Marvel films he initially signed on for. Not even Mackie knows the true fate of his character or if he will complete that initial deal or if a new one will be struck with Marvel Studios. “I just wait for the phone call,” he says.
