Disney is bringing all our favorite animated features out of the vault and re-imagining them. The age of live action films is now. Disney is developing multiple live action films over the next few years. Here’s a list of what’s to come.

First up, Disney’s The Lion King a little over a week away from it’s theater release. This adaptation is directed by Jungle Book’s Jon Favreau. The film showcases the voices of Donald Glover and Beyoncé, to the classic music of Tim Rice, Hans Zimmer, and Elton John.

Angelina Jolie will reprise her role as Maleficent, The Mistress of Evil, this October.

Disney just released their first trailer for the live action Mulan. See actress Liu Yifei play Mulan when the film hits theaters in March of 2020.

Emma Stone will star in Disney’s Cruella. Much like the first Maleficent, Cruella will tell the tale of humble beginnings to villain in this live action film. Cruella will debut in theaters in December of 2020.

The Little Mermaid is making some huge casting waves which will bring it closer to production. Actress and singer, Halle Bailey, will be playing Ariel.

A live adaptation of Lady and the Tramp is coming to a slightly smaller screen. Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux will lend their voices to these lovable pups. Lady and the Tramp will premier on Disney’s streaming service this November.

All together, Disney has about 20 live action films in the works. These films range from classics like Pinocchio and Peter Pan, to original stories like Rose Red and a prequel titled “Genies”. This calls for an exciting future for Walt Disney Pictures!

The Mickey Pretzel Hat Is Sassy Perfect For Salty Days

Sometimes you’re just feeling salty, or maybe just hungry! The adorable new Mickey Pretzel Hat from Disney Parks is a clever pun on the “salty” slang. We just have to make sure we don’t get too hungry and take a bite of the Mickey pretzel!

This new hat joins the Disney D-lish collection, an assortment of merchandise inspired by the delicious treats of Disney. Lots of rich texture and details have been woven into this cap, to really make it stand out. The shell of this hat is a beautiful woodland green, and has a brown Mickey Pretzel appliqué stitched onto the front. There are even flecks on the pretzel to simulate salt too! The brim of the cap is a sueded light brown, that has “SALTY” embroidered along the edge. The combination of the colors, and textures really make this hat stand out as unique, and fun.

This salty baseball cap retails for $27.99, and can be found at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. The hat is not currently available online, but we hope that it pops up soon. It’s definitely a fun accessory for when you’re having a bitter day, or just to be playful!

New Unicorn Cupcake Now At Polynesian Resort

Calling all unicorn fans. The Polynesian Resort has been home to some fun new treats lately, with the latest being is this adorable Unicorn Cupcake. This fun new snack can be found at the Kona Island upstairs next to the Kona Cafe. The Kona Island has been pumping out some fun snacks including the Stitch Dome Cake and some incredible Chocolate Bacon. We got to try this pretty and delicious cupcake and we were not disappointed.

The Unicorn Cupcake is listed as a seasonal cupcake and is $5.99 plus tax. You can also use a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan. The cupcake itself is a confetti cake with a think layer of frosting surrounding it. It reminded me more of a cake pop than a cupcake. The horn is a blue ice cream cone which is just for color. It’s not flavored. The frosting decorations are what make this Unicorn treat so adorable. It was a nice dessert after a dinner at the Polynesian Resort.

The seasonal cupcakes have been known to change frequently so make sure you stop by the Kona Island to try this one out. The Unicorn Cupcake may not have been a wow factor with flavor like some Disney cupcakes but it was good. However, what it lacked in taste wow factor it makes up with looks. It was such a cute and Instagram worthy dessert.

Scuttle Has Been Cast for Little Mermaid Live Action

Awkwafina star of Ocean’s Eight, Crazy Rich Asians, the upcoming The Dark Crystal adaptation has been cast as Scuttle in Disney’s live-action Little Mermaid. We have no idea how this is supposed to happen as she is human and he is, well… a seagull! We look forward to watching this play out to get a grasp on just how this will go down.

Also, an actor named Jacob Tremblay has been cast Flounder! Again, how that will happen is a mystery to us!

New Trailer & Poster for Disney’s Live Action Mulan movie

The film is directed by Niki Caro from a screenplay by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver and Elizabeth Martin & Lauren Hynek based on the narrative poem “The Ballad of Mulan.”

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit TV show coming to Disney+ Streaming Service

Great news! Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is going to be coming to the Disney+ streaming service!

According to twitter post-Christopher Painter’s online resume has confirmed he will be a writer on the upcoming Oswald the Lucky Rabit Show!

Also, voice actor Eric Bauza replied to a tweet stating he will be working on the upcoming project as well.

My guess is we will hear more news at the D23 Expo next month in Anaheim.

For now, no official word has been released from Disney and we have no idea when it would air.

Disney announced this week that Halle Bailey will star as Ariel in the upcoming Live Action movie the Little Mermaid. Some fans were very receptive while others were not. Some went as far as starting a hashtag #notmyariel on social media.

20 year old Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce has passed away

Actor Cameron Boyce, known for his roles in the Disney Channel’s Jessie and the popular franchise Descendants has passed away at 20 years old.

Boyce’s death was confirmed by his family Saturday night.

The cause of his death was announced as an ongoing medical condition.

“It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron,” a spokesperson said on behalf of the Boyce family. “He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.

“We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family

WATCH Walt Disney World Cast Members React: They’re Going To Batuu

A surprise transmission from far, far away!

A group of Cast Members got the surprise of their lifetime when they found out they were going to Batuu! to be part of the opening crew of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Walt Disney World Ambassador Marilyn West delivered the good news and captured the emotional moment when these Cast Members got the amazing news.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is set to open on August 29th, 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

New Minnie Mouse Icon Dress Brings Out Sassy Summer Style

We’ve spotted a sassy new dress from the Disney Dress Shop! The fabulous off shoulder Minnie Mouse Icon Dress is an absolute dream. This dress captures Minnie’s iconic style, with a stylishly dapper twist. As the original Disney style diva, it’s only fitting that she gets a new dress dedicated to her now and then.

This dress has a swooping off the shoulder style, with a folded over collar which has a very flattering look. Dainty necklaces also compliment this neckline beautifully too. The collar matches the skirt with white on red micro polka-dots. The dress’s sleek black bodice is belted at the skirt, for a nice slimming effect. The bottom of the skirt is striped in red and white.

A small extra detail has been added to this gorgeous new dress. On the back of the dress is a small embroidery of Minnie Mouse’s iconic bow! The Minnie Mouse dress retails for $128 and comes in sizes XS to 3XL. This dress is available at Disney Dress Shop locations, as well as upscale retail locations throughout the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. It is currently not available on shopDisney.

Lime DOLEwhip Margarita! ?? at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. ??

It’s not new, but its delish! The DOLEwhip margarita is currently available at Disney’s Polynesian Resort at the Barefoot Pool Bar and the Oasis Bar and Grill. Disney swapped the classic pineapple flavoring for lime and tossed in some Corazón Blanco Tequila. The $12.50 drink includes the tajín rim—a spicy chili lime seasoning. You can have it with or without salt.

If margaritas aren’t your thing, but you’re still down for a Dole Whip-induced buzz, the park has a number of options. In March, Wine Bar George in Disney Springs wine bar introduced the Froscato, which has not one but two kinds of alcohol: vodka AND moscato. There’s also the (equally boozy) Dole Whip Mimosa route with a perfect mix of moscato, Dole pineapple, and Prosecco. You can’t go wrong.

Oh my ovaries! This Toy Story photo shoot with an adorable set of twins is more than my heart can take. Karen Marie Hourscht of Belly Beautiful Portraits has worked her Disney-inspired magic again, this time with a Toy Story-inspired series.

Karen Marie Hourscht is the professional photographer behind Belly Beautiful Portraits in Roseville, California. She has made headlines time and again for her gorgeous Disney-themed newborn photo shoots. She’s recreated the looks of some of the most beloved Disney princesses not once but twice. (See below)

It’s no wonder her work has gone viral once more. This time, drawing inspiration from Toy Story, Hourscht photographed twin brothers dressed as Buzz Lightyear and Woody. See the Snuggle worthy photos below!
