Terry Crews Nomiates Himself to Play King Triton

Terry Crews Nomiates Himself to Play King Triton
The actor Terry Crews has nominated himself to play Ariel’s father, King Triton, in the new live-action remake, which is set to start filming soon!

The actor, best known as the host on American’s Got Talent or the hit show Brooklyn Nine-Nine, recently shared a photoshopped image of himself with a mermaid’s tail in front of the animated version of the Little Mermaid’s castle with the caption, “Ariel’s Dad!! #ArielsGotTerry #AmericasGotTerry”.

The post was meant to be funny, however, fans are now desperate to see this buff actor actually play King Triton alongside Halle Bailey. One fan wrote, ‘I don’t like Disney live-action remakes, but I’ll watch this one if this were to happen’ while others are responding with their own version of a photoshopped Terry Crews as King Triton.

Well seeing as King Triton was powerful, we think Terry Crews has that covered. Look at the size of those arms! One fan even wrote, ‘Well okay, but only if there’s a scene where he beats up Ursula using nothing but his pecs’. Now that would be a sight anyone would want to see!

Even though there is no word yet on who will actually play King Triton in the new live-action remake, we wouldn’t be disappointed with this choice. What are your thoughts? Who should play King Triton alongside Halle Baily as Ariel and Awkwafina as Scuttle? Tell us your thoughts!

Jodi Benson defends Halle Bailey as Ariel in The Little Mermaid!

Actress Jodi Benson defends Halle Bailey who has been cast as Ariel, the starring role, of Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid!

According to Comicbook.com, Jodi Benson defends Halle Bailey by saying “the most important thing is to tell the story. And we have, as a family, we have raised our children, and for ourselves, that we don’t see anything that’s different on the outside”. Likewise, she also described Ariel and said “that the spirit of a character is what really matters” and then she said “I’m really, really old — and so when I’m singing ‘Part of Your World,’ if you were to judge me on the way that I look on the outside, it might change the way that you interpret the song. But if you close your eyes, you can still hear the spirit of Ariel.”. To her, Jodi believes “the most important thing for a film is to be able to tell a story”.

Jodi also said that “no matter what we look like on the outside, no matter our race, our nation, the colour of our skin, our dialect, whether I’m tall or thin, whether I’m overweight or underweight, or my hair is whatever colour, we really need to tell the story,”. That Disney is known for its storytelling and that’s their aim for this film. To create a live-action version of the beloved animated classic so audiences can “fall in love with the film again”.

Variety, even before announcing Halle Bailey as Ariel, described her as the “clear front runner from the beginning”. That after searching far and wide for the perfect Ariel, Rob Marshall said that Halle possessed “all the intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role”. We look forward to seeing Halle Bailey as Ariel in Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid!

Aloha! Stitch Dome Cake Now At Kona Island

Experiment 626 is back! This time our favorite blue alien is in cake form. Stitch had quite the line when he showed up at the Polynesian Resort with a one day only Stich ice cream Cone back in June. We’re hoping this cute and delicious dome cake will stay a bit longer!

This adorable new character-themed cupcake can be found at the Kona Island. Kona Island is located on the second level inside the main building of the Polynesian Resort. The Kona Island has dropped a couple of new fun treats lately including the Unicorn Cupcake and three types of Chocolate Covered Bacon. The Stitch Dome Cake is a chocolate cake with blue fondant, white chocolate ears, and buttercream flowers. At $5.99 plus tax or a dining plan snack credit he’s worth the purchase.

The Stitch Dome Cake is labeled as a seasonal cupcake right now and we hope he’s going to stay for a while. Make sure you check out this fun snack early because they ended up running out while we were there. Stitch is definitely a fan favorite and such an icon of the Polynesian Resort.

Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman, Bob Chapek also announced that the 1800 existing rooms have been entirely completed in refurbishment. This includes new fixtures, furniture, and lighting in each room! In addition to the completion of refurbished rooms and the new tower, a second restaurant will be available to guests. It will sit on the island centered in Lago Dorado. New walkways have also been established over the lake to make dining at the island accessible to all guests no matter where they may be roomed.

With a fresh coat of paint to provide harmony between the existing and new elements of this fabulous resort, we are certain that it will be a “must see.” As with any resort on property, although designed with a Spanish motif, we can entirely expect to see ounces of Disney tossed in here or there. Certainly, the resort will once again become a favorite of guests as it adds a new dimension to Disney theming and immersion while providing a comfortable place to rest after a long day in the parks.
