It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. The Walt Disney World Resort has certainly been busy with all the holiday news this morning. Another exciting announcement is the return of Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party is returning this year to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. You are able to make reservations for this fun party starting today!

This fun addition to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is from 9:30 PM- 12:30 PM at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant. This is a separate ticket in addition to the ticket needed for the Christmas party.

Tony (yes the Tony of Tony’s Town Square) will be joining guests as they eat and enjoy a special assortment of delicious holiday-themed food and drinks. Beer and wine is included for guests of age along with a large variety of meats and cheeses. We all know it wouldn’t be a Christmas party without some amazing holiday treats. Load up your plates with a variety of desserts!

Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party Returning To Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

If you’re not already excited about this amazing addition when you book Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party you also have reserved viewing for the “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” in front of the restaurant.

Guest seating is at a first-come-first-serve inside the restaurant and shared seating may be required. As stated this is a party within a party and the tickets are $99 per person (plus tax) and available at every Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event night at Magic Kingdom Park.

The new Lion King film roars into theaters on July 18th, and Dooney & Bourke is ready to celebrate with a new collection! The new Lion King Dooney and Bourke Collection will bring a touch of the wild side to Animal Kingdom on July 19th, with an assortment of 3 new bags.

The new Dooney & Bourke collection will make it’s debut at Mombasa Marketplace and Discovery Trading Company in Animal Kingdom. The collection includes three silhouettes, a satchel, crossbody and tote! All three bags have the same pattern featuring Simba, Nala, Timon and Pumbaa in a repeating pattern. A mossy green stripe design sets a backdrop that makes these beautiful characters in different poses pop. These new bags will be sure to rule the Pride Lands with a Hakuna Matata style!

Be sure to check out all of the excitement coming to Animal Kingdom to celebrate the Lion King this month! There is even a new Scavenger Hunt, which offers a savanna surprise upon completion!

Pop Music Icon Added To Epcot’s Eat To The Beat Lineup

The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is right around the corner. This fan favorite festival brings the return of the Eat to the Beat Concert Series. This year is said to have the largest lineup ever and another performer was just announced! Tiffany will be joining this years Eat to the Beat lineup. The pop icon will be hitting the stage this September.

The Eat to the Beat Concert Series is happening at the American Gardens Theater from August 29th to November 19th. Tiffany will be performing September 13-15 according to Disney Parks Twitter. The show times are 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 8:00 PM Sunday through Thursday, and 6:30 PM, 7:45 PM and 9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. The shows fill up fast so you may need to line up early or get a dining reservation for your favorites.

Marvel Studios and Russo Brothers Launching “We Love You 3000” Tour. Avengers: Endgame directors, Anthony and Joe Russo have assembled with Marvel Studios to bring the ultimate fan celebration event to 9 cities around the United States.

Marvel.com posted this information regarding the tour on their website, “In celebration of the in-home release of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios and directors Anthony and Joe Russo have teamed up to launch the “We Love You 3000” Tour as a way to thank the fans who have invested so deeply in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), making it the single most successful franchise in film history! Special guests from Marvel Studios and the MCU will visit nine U.S. cities — beginning in San Diego at Comic-Con International on July 20 and ending in Anaheim at D23 Expo 2019 on Aug. 25 — greeting and treating fans at each tour stop.

What: Calling all Avengers fans! Join Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgamedirectors Anthony and Joe Russo and special MCU guest(s) at the IMDboat as they celebrate the in-home release of the film. Costumed guests will be welcomed aboard to participate in a special Marvel Studios Cosplay photo with the Russo Brothers and their special guest(s).

Where: IMDboat – 5th Avenue Landing Marina, Slip 5B (Directly behind the convention center)

Time: Saturday, July 20 at 1:15 – 2:15pm

Festivities: General fans who arrive on-site will be gifted with a free ice cream courtesy of Ben & Jerry’s (while supplies last).

Best Buy will serve as the location for five “We Love You 3000” Tour stops, hosting in-store fan events to celebrate the nationwide release of Marvel Studios “Avengers: Endgame” on Blu-ray™ Aug. 13. Events will feature signings with Marvel Studios filmmakers and/or MCU talent; a special digital photo booth; specialty promotional giveaways, including MCU Funko Pop! Vinyl Figures and exclusive “Avengers: Endgame” prints; and much more. Fans can also get their hands on the exclusive, limited edition “Avengers: Endgame” SteelBook and other collectable SteelBooks from the MCU at Best Buy stores across the country and on BestBuy.com.

NYC residents Use Lightsabers From Star Wars To Direct Traffic During Blackout. On Saturday evening, New York City suffered a major power outage in the West Side of Manhattan. Traffic in New York is already a nightmare, but with little to no direction the city could easily become grid locked.

While NYPD and NYFD were responding as best they could to the issues at hand, including entrapments in elevators, some Good Samaritan citizens decided to step up to the man hole and helped direct traffic, even after the sun went down. In a stroke of hilarity and brilliance, some citizens chose to wield lightsabers, from Star Wars, after dark to help with directing the traffic.

The New York Times reporter Liam Stack, took photos of the citizens and Jedi who stepped in to help keep the city moving, despite the lack of power. “Now that it’s getting dark the civilians directing traffic in Hell’s Kitchen are using whatever light they can get, including cellphones and… light sabers #NYCblackout,” Stack tweeted with a photo on Twitter.

Power was restored around 10 p.m. “Power has been restored after today’s #blackout, but New Yorkers should continue to exercise caution as everything returns to normal,” Cuomo tweeted. “When things are at their worst, New Yorkers are at their best, and they were at their best tonight.”

Due to the outage, Broadway shows were forced to cancel their performances for the evening. Parts of Hells Kitchen and Midtown were also affected during the blackout. Funny enough, the blackout occurred on the 42nd anniversary of the 1977 blackout that left the entire city in darkness!
