New Late Night Menu and Specials at The Edison and Enzo’s Hideaway

late night disney springs enzos edison

Disney Springs has turned into a wonderful place to spend an evening with your special people.  The live music is always a draw.  Now, a couple of restaurants are premiering late-night menus and specials.

New Late Night Menu and Specials at The Edison and Enzo's Hideaway

First let’s start with The Edison, who will feature some excellent evening specials in addition to their current Happy Hour (Sunday to Thursday from 3:00-6:00 pm).  Their late-night specials will run from Monday to Thursday from 10:00 pm – 12:00 am and feature their classic Clothesline Bacon for $5!  The Philly (my personal favorite) and the Bacon Cheeseburger will also be $5 with hand-cut fries.

New Late Night Menu and Specials at The Edison and Enzo's Hideaway

The Edison’s late-night menu will also feature 5 unique cocktails ($7) along with certain beers and wines ($5-$7).  The Edison has such a fun atmosphere and an outdoor patio making it a wonderful spot to spend your evening at Disney Springs.

New Late Night Menu and Specials at The Edison and Enzo's Hideaway

Right next door is Enzo’s Hideaway.  The Italian influence is apparent in the plates and drinks offered at late-night here.  My favorite is the Fontina in Carozza (pictured above).  Also served will be meat and cheese trays and Chicken Parmesan Sliders.

New Late Night Menu and Specials at The Edison and Enzo's Hideaway

The featured drinks are their most popular Luciano Spritz and the Limoncello Gimlet.  All of the food and drink items on the late-night menu at Enzo’s Hideaway will range from $14-$18. Hours for this menu will be Sunday to Thursday 10:00 pm to 12:00 am and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am.

New Late Night Menu and Specials at The Edison and Enzo's Hideaway

The Cherry Cheesecake Trifle is another dessert to add to a creative existing menu (available all day) and a wonderful delight to your tastebuds.  Think fresh cherries and light cheesecake.  Honestly all of the food at both restaurants tasted so fresh.  If you are headed to Disney Springs any time soon be sure to check out one or both of these outstanding restaurants.

Disney+ Star Wars Series “The Mandalorian” Reported to Cost $15 Million Per Episode

Disney+ Star Wars Series "The Mandalorian" Reported to Cost $15 Million Per Episode

Disney+ Star Wars Series “The Mandalorian” Reported to Cost $15 Million Per Episode. Writer and Executive Producer, Jon Favreau, is already working on a second season for the Disney+ Series.

A report from The Wall Street Journal stated that each episode of The Mandalorian cost $15 million to create. The first season of The Mandalorian is set to have 8 episodes, meaning the whole season cost the studios around $120 million to produce. If Disney and Lucasfilm are putting that much into creating the Star Wars Series they must be heavily invested in making sure it is being done the right way. With Jon Favreau and Pedro Pascal at the helm, the series is likely to be a wild success once in premieres on Disney+ streaming service later this year.

the mandalorian

A second season for The Mandalorian was announced by Jon Favreau during a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, “I keep getting pulled deeper into the orbit of Disney, but fortunately the stuff that Disney’s working on is the stuff that I love. I wanted to do a Star Wars TV show like The Mandalorian and pitched it to them and they were very open to it. I even wrote four episodes before I even was hired to do it because I was excited as a fan to see what these stories might be and see if they were interested in doing what I was interested in, which they were. And I was actually writing Season 2 this morning before I came here.”

The Mandalorian will be one of many series that will be exclusive to the Disney+ streaming service and is expected to premiere with the launch of Disney+ later this year.

Disney Seeking Harry Styles To Play Prince Eric in Live-Action The Little Mermaid

Disney Seeking Harry Styles To Play Prince Eric in Live-Action The Little Mermaid. Though most fans know Harry Styles from his days as a member of One Direction, Styles has started transitioning to film, making his film debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk.

With the casting of Halle Bailey as Ariel and Disney seeking Harry Styles for the role of Prince Eric, all signs point to Disney making this live-action film with a musical focus. Though Prince Eric does not sing in the animated classic, the Broadway adaption of the film has Prince Eric in multiple songs and even performing two solos.

Halle Bailey still remains the only confirmed cast member for the film, with Melissa McCarthy still “in-talks” with Disney for the role of Ursula. Also in-talks with the House of Mouse are Jacob Tremblay as Flounder and Awkwafina as Scuttle.

In the same report from TheHollywoodReporter, Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda will work together to update the scores and lyrics to the popular soundtrack for the live-action remake. The Little Mermaid is scheduled to begin production in early 2020.

“James and the Giant Peach” Remake In Development By Disney

"James and the Giant Peach" Remake In Development By Disney

James and the Giant Peach” Remake In Development By Disney. The popular children’s book by Roald Dahl was first adapted by the studio in the 90’s and premiered in 1996.

It was first announced in 2016 that Disney was looking to revamp the franchise. Disney even hired Sam Mendes as director and approved Nick Hornby to pen a script for the film. This time, it appears Disney is going in a different direction after the flop of another Roald Dahl story based film by the studio, The BFG. The BFG didn’t take with most audiences back in 2016 which caused Disney to reevaluate the idea of a James and the Giant Peach remake.

"James and the Giant Peach" Remake In Development By Disney

According to the listing on IMDb the new version of  James and the Giant Peach is currently “in development” and early in the pre-production process. A telling sign that this may come to fruition is the possible tie to Tim Burton.

It is not yet know if Tim Burton will be a part of this project, but with his involvement in the 1996 classic and his participation in more recent Disney remakes/live-action films such as Alice in Wonderland, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Dumbo, there is a high chance he will be a part of the remake for James and the Giant Peach.

Disney has yet to set a release date for the film and there are currently no production team members or casting choices listed for the James and the Giant Peach remake.

Disney’s The Lion King Press Conference

Disney’s The Lion King Press Conference

Disney’s The Lion King Press Conference

We recently got invited to Disney’s The Lion King Global Press Conference. The press conference kicked off with an incredible choral performance of “The Circle of Life” with lead soloists Lebo M and Clydene Jackson.

Then, we were introduced to the phenomenal cast and creators who worked on this project. Starting with Jon Favreau, he explained his journey from The Jungle Book to the making of The Lion King. He described how despite the evolution of technology with these films, animators worked on them shot for shot. He, then, would have the cast perform in groups on a stage like a play production. He described the process by saying, “… we would cut from that and we would shoot video on long lenses just to have reference of what they were doing with their faces.” He wanted to make sure that the emotion still came through in the performance mixed with the technology. Favreau, then expressed his appreciation for all that worked on this project.

Next, we moved onto Donald Glover who plays Simba. Glover expressed how grateful he was to Jon for focusing on the meaning of The Circle of Life. He stated, “I really feel that it’s good to make movies that are global and metropolitan in the sense of citizens of the world. Like making sure that we talk about like how connected we are right now.”

Chiwetel Ejiofor had this to say about voicing Scar, “…it’s such and incredible part to play. And so complex and all of that. And having empathy, not sympathy, but empathizing with the character and trying to understand them and trying to get underneath that. And such a rich, villainous character to play. So a wonderful experience to me.”

The comedic duo that brought Timon and Pumbaa to life commented on their dynamic and how recording together helped their performances. Seth Rogen commented on working with Billy Eichner, “I think you can really tell that we’re playing off of each other. It’s and incredibly naturalistic feeling.” Eichner responded with, “Being able to riff off each other and really discover our chemistry together in the same moment. You can feel it when you’re watching the movie.”

Perhaps one of the more familiar aspects, aside from the story, of The Lion King is the music. Hans Zimmer, along with Pharrell Williams and Lebo M, all lended their musical genius to breathe new light into this famous score. Hans Zimmer explained how he wanted the audience to feel like they were being transported to Africa and wanted to feel as if you were on a journey.

Join in on the journey and see Disney’s The Lion King, in theaters on July 19.

Live-Action ‘Atlantis’ Reportedly “In the Works” at Disney and Eyeing Tom Holland as Milo Thatch. In an era of live-action remakes, Disney may be turning its attention to more underrated Disney Films. According to The Illuminerdi, Atlantis: The Lost Empire is well on its way to becoming a live-action remake.

Since Disney first announced the idea of remaking previously animated films into live-action versions, Disney fans have been abuzz with film suggestions and fan-made casting choices. Popular choices for remakes amongst fans are: Hercules, Treasure Planet, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pocahontas, Pinocchio, The Sword in the Stone, and recently rumored to be in the pipeline, Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

With every tremor about a new remake comes a wave of speculation and rumors. Recent rumors claim Disney may be looking to cast Tom Holland as Milo Thatch in a live-action version of Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Also rumored was Guillermo del Toro to direct, which he immediately shut down via his verified Twitter account, @RealGDT.

According to a film synopsis from Google, “Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire  is about an inexperienced young adventurer becomes the key to unraveling an ancient mystery when he joins up with a group of daredevil explorers to find the legendary lost empire of Atlantis. A naive-but-determined museum cartographer Milo Thatch (Michael J. Fox), dreams of completing the quest begun by his late grandfather, a famous explorer. When a journal surfaces, an eccentric billionaire funds an expedition and the action shifts to high gear.”
