The new style of the Haunted Mansion dress is classic, yet perfect. The creepy eye wallpaper we all know and love circles around the skirt of this dress, complete with dayglow yellow eyes. The waist of the dress is banded with a ruched black band, while the bust is a wrap across style that creates a v-neck look.

The detailing is spook-tacular, the bust has a lace design that if you look closely, has the same shapes as the creepy wallpaper. The Haunted Mansion Dress retails for $128.00.

Disney Cancels Hundreds of Fox Films

Disney Cancels Hundreds of Fox Films

Disney Cancels Hundreds of Fox Films. Though a good portion of these films would never come to fruition, Disney has given the axe to almost every film that Fox Studios had been looking to produce in the future. Roughly 246 films were in various forms of production. This comes as no surprise in the Disney-Fox merger, since similar practices are common after a merger of this proportion.

According to ComicBook.com, Disney only decided to green-light half a dozen films that were in post-production and only a handful of franchises that Disney feels will do well, particularly the Marvel based franchises such as Deadpool, X-Men, and Fantastic Four. Disney also plans on creating 4 more Avatar films with Fox Studio.

Disney Cancels Hundreds of Fox Films

Many relatively successful films and potential stories were completely scraped, even some that were contracted to host sequels that will never see the light of day outside of the studio. Some of those titles include:

  • Assassin’s Creed 2
  • The Boogeyman
  • Chronicle 2
  • Flash Gordon
  • Hitman 2
  • League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
  • Magic: The Gathering
  • McClane
  • Megaman
  • Play Doh (Yes, really)
  • The Return of the Killer Klowns from Outer Space in 3D
  • The Sims

These films were in various stages of production at Fox Studio, while some were merely in the conceptual stages with the studio, but have officially been dismissed and will no longer be in consideration for production.

Disney Cancels Hundreds of Fox Films

Disney has announced they plan to reboot a few of the fan favorite franchises such as Home Alone, Night at the Museum, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Cheaper by the Dozen, but with a catch. The reboots will be release via Disney’s new streaming service, Disney Plus (Disney+). It is not yet known if the films will be remade into new films or if they will be converted into series for Disney+.

Are you sad to see any of these Fox Films go? What franchises do you hope Disney decides to keep from the merger? Let us know in the comments, we would love to hear your thoughts!

Cocoa Police Department Takes 25 Children to Walt Disney World

Cocoa Police Department Takes 25 Children to Walt Disney World

Staff and officers of the Cocoa Police Department escorted 25 kids to Walt Disney World on Wednesday!

This trip was part of an initiative by Cocoa Community First Inc. which is a nonprofit organization.

The trip was sponsored by both Disney and the organization.

In a Facebook post, the Cocoa police wrote, “Thank you to everyone who supports this non-profit and thank you to Disney for helping us connect with our kids.”

The children were specially selected for their behavior and accomplishments by the Brevard County school principals and teachers.

“It’s about making them feel special and letting them know we are so very proud of their good behavior and accomplishments. We are grateful to be able to do this each year,” the post said.

The parents were thrilled for their children because it was the first Disney trip for many.

Fun Facts from Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion for the 50th Anniversary

Fun Facts from Disneyland's Haunted Mansion for the 50th Anniversary

Today marks the 50th Anniversary of the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland. The Haunted Mansion opened on August 9, 1969 in New Orleans Square at Disneyland park.

Here are some frightfully fun facts to celebrate the 50th anniversary:

  • The idea for a haunted house at Disneyland was included in an early concept design sketch by Harper Goff dating back to 1952, when Disneyland was still being conceptualized.
  • Within a week of the Haunted Mansion’s opening, Disneyland celebrated what was then its highest single-day attendance.
  • 20 tombstone tributes exist both inside and around the exterior of the attraction. The epitaphs on the tombstones were written to honor several Disney Legends and Walt Disney Imagineers who created and maintain the attraction.
  • The final exterior concept for the house is heavily influenced by the Victorian-era Shipley-Lydecker House in Baltimore, Maryland.
  • Thurl Ravenscroft is the voice of “Uncle Theodore” who leads the “Phantom Five” quintet of singing headstones. His voice can also be heard at Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room as the voice of both Fritz and Tangaroa.
  • The pipe organ seen in the ballroom sequence was featured as Captain Nemo’s pipe organ in the Disney film classic, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.” For more details, check out George’s story here.
  • Leota Toombs, a former Walt Disney Imagineer and Disney Legend, served as the famous face of Madame Leota.
  • The Hatbox Ghost was featured in Haunted Mansion when the attraction first opened. Then, he mysteriously vanished, only to reappear in 2015 in time for the 60th anniversary of Disneyland.

So, foolish mortals, make your way to the Disneyland to celebrate 50 years of ghoulish delights and happy haunts. The ghosts of the Haunted Mansion are just “dying” for you to join them – as there is always room for one more!

Grand Floridian To Magic Kingdom Drawbridge Update

Grand Floridian Drawbridge

Grand Floridian Drawbridge

Since 2013 our Anonymouse source has been telling us that the walkway between The Grand Floridian and Magic Kingdom could be underway.

The walkway would be linking The Grand Floridian to the front of Magic Kingdom as well as to the Transportation and ticketing center.

Grand Floridian To Magic Kingdom Drawbridge Update
This trip across Seven Seas Lagoon; would be in place of the crowded Disney buses, monorail, and ferry boat.

Grand Floridian To Magic Kingdom Drawbridge Update

Back in July, we were able to confirm this, when Disney began to file the permits with the state of Florida.

Grand Floridian To Magic Kingdom Drawbridge Update

Many questions were raised when the walkway was announced because this is the same place where the Electrical Water Pageant enters.

Grand Floridian To Magic Kingdom Drawbridge Update

No need to fret, it’s no regular walkway. The walkway also doubles as a drawbridge so the Water Pageant will have no problems coming in and out. You can see the already constructed drawbridge awaiting installation.

While we still have no exact dates as to when the walkway will be open. You can follow us on any of our accounts listed below for updates as soon as we learn them.
