Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet

Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet Grand Opening at Disney Springs

Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet just celebrated its Grand Opening last night at Disney Springs, and Chip and Company were there for the celebration! This food truck is the newest and sweetest addition to the food truck entourage.  The grand opening was quite a hit with the line never stopping; a steady flow of visitors were trying to get their hands on these cookie dough concoctions. Everyone really seemed to be enjoying their treats and taking lots of Instagram ready photos for the occasion.

Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet Grand Opening at Disney Springs

There are five different flavors of cookie dough. Traditional Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter & Fluff, Cookies n’ Cream Cold Brew, Celebration which is vanilla sugar dough and rainbow sprinkles, and Candy Monster which is blue sugar dough with chocolate candies. All of these flavors are available in a cup or a cone and come with Oreo Cookie mickey ears, $4.75 plus tax.

Then there are specialty creations such as the Celebration Parfait, it costs $8.00. It consists of the celebration cookie dough with celebration Mickey cake, vanilla custard, strawberries, whipped cream, and a Cherry on top. It looked so fun and tasty!

Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet Grand Opening at Disney Springs

The Cold Brew Cookie Dough Sundae is what I tried. At $8.00, It was a cookie and cream cold brew dough with chocolate sauce, and a mini funnel cake. The cookie dough was the best part it gave you that yummy cookies and cream taste not overly sweet with subtle notes of the cold brew. It definitely favors to cookies and cream taste over your morning cup of joe. It had a bit of a softer texture than traditional chocolate chip cookie dough does. The funnel cake was good but a bit on the crispier side for my liking. Overall, it was quite a big treat, definitely sharable and delicious.

There are also two different Taco options $6-7, the Springs Candy Taco with monster cookie dough, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry. As well as the Minnie Dessert Taco that was oh so cute! This one had peanut butter and fluff cookie dough, caramel sauce, whipped cream, and cherry with an adorable Minnie Bow. These seemed to be very popular choices and cute photo ops. There was also a Mickey or Minnie Funnel Cake that was $10.00 it is massive with cookie dough on top in the shape of Mickey.

Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet Grand Opening at Disney Springs

Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet is certainly stirring up some tasty treats. I really wish I had gotten that Celebration Parfait it just looked so good! I need to save room for it on my next visit Disney Springs! I may need to skip dinner and go right for dessert next time! Who says you can’t eat dessert first?! Which one do you want to try? Disney Cast Members Free School at the University of Arizona!

Disney Cast Members Free School at the University of Arizona!

The Walt Disney Company has just announced that Disney cast members can access free school at the University of Arizona! According to the Orlando Sentinal Disney will pay all tuition, fees and book expenses upfront for full-time or part-time hourly employees if they are with a new program called Disney Aspire!

The Disney Aspire program has expanded to more schools including the recent University of Arizona, which offers 14 online-only bachelor’s degrees, including public health, business administration and operations networks. According to the press release, Arizona Online will offer Disney cast members “the same high-quality education in flexible and innovative ways”. Therefore offering cast members free school at the University of Arizona!

It should be noted that some of the Disney Aspire schools have competitive admissions requirements compared while others allow those who have completed high school to enrol. Schools linked to Disney Aspire in the state are the University of Central Florida, Valencia College and the University of Florida. Many of the options will help cast members learn a trade or achieve their high school diploma. Jayne Parker, Disney’s Chief HR Officer said that the program will “help employees create the futures they imagine for themselves” and by adding the University of Arizona to Disney Aspire, will allow the company to support “more than 90,000 eligible employees’ and cast members’ education and career goals!”.

Ewan McGregor Rumored to Return as Obi-Wan Kenobi

Ewan McGregor Rumored to Return as Obi-Wan Kenobi

Ewan McGregor Rumored to Return as Obi-Wan Kenobi. We may truly get to see the Return of the Jedi. Reports are swirling online that Ewan McGregor has signed to reprise his roll as Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Back in 2017 it was rumored that Ewan McGregor would come back as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a new Star Wars film, and the actor was completely onboard, until the poor performance of Solo: A Star Wars Story halted almost all production on future Star Wars endeavors.

Ewan McGregor Rumored to Return as Obi-Wan Kenobi

“I think it’s a good idea. The only bit that I could get away with doing is after the last one I made, Episode III, before Alec Guinness, there’s that period where he’s in the desert. That might be my window, there, to tell that story. I don’t know what he did in the desert. We could make up some stuff. I’d be up for it, could be quite exciting. I’d be up for it, for sure, of course.” says McGregor, “I’d be happy to do the story from episodes three where I finish up and Alec Guinness starts.”

The difference between 2017 and 2019 is that Disney and Lucasfilm seems to be back on board with either a featured film surrounding Kenobi’s journey after the prequels, and possibly may have the return of Kenobi come to Disney+, their all new streaming service launching November 12.

Ewan McGregor Rumored to Return as Obi-Wan Kenobi

Another key factor that this time may be for real is that we are just over a week from the 2019 D23 Expo, the biggest celebration of all things Disney! More than likely Disney and Lucasfilm will make a formal announcement during one of their Star Wars panels during the convention.

Are you excited to hear Ewan McGregor may continue Obi-Wan’s journey? Would you like to see Obi-Wan Kenobi in a featured film or as a series on Disney+? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Be sure to check back here at Chip and Company for all things Disney!

Dia de los Muertos Ears And More Celebrate Day of The Dead At Epcot

Dia de los Muertos Ears

Dia de los Muertos Ears And More Celebrate Day of The Dead At Epcot

Halloween isn’t the only festive holiday for the fall season, Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead which is a personal favorite of mine, also arrives! To commemorate this day of remembrance, you can now find gorgeous Dia de los Muertos Ears and apparel at Mouse Gear in Epcot.

Dia de los Muertos Disney designs used to be found mainly in Disneyland, so I’m very excited to see so many enchanting options now available at Walt Disney World.

Dia de los Muertos Ears And More Celebrate Day of The Dead At EpcotDia de los Muertos Ears And More Celebrate Day of The Dead At Epcot

There are t-shirts available for the entire family inspired by the beautiful designs of Dia de los Muertos. The same Calavera (sugar skull) design coordinates across the entire collection.

Even our younger ones can celebrate with vivid youth shirts.

Dia de los Muertos Ears

The Dia de los Muertos Mickey Ear hat is vibrant and fun! A stunning Calavera (or sugar skull) is embroidered on to the front hat, and the brim is trimmed in purple. Plastic ears have festive designs and say “Dia de Los Muertos. The hat is topped off with its very own top hat, that is decorated with colorful marigolds.

Dia de los Muertos Ears

Last, but certainly not least is the Minnie Mouse Ear headband inspired by Dia de los Muertos. The beautiful Calavera design is showcased on the black satiny ears and headband. The headband is also trimmed in colorful fabric marigolds, which are a hallmark symbol of the holiday. As for the bow, these ears are adorned with a purple foam bow that is designed to mimic papel picado. Papel picado is an exquisite decoration made by cutting elaborate designs from paper. This Mexican folk art is very common for Dia de los Muertos decorations, so it is really wonderful to see it incorporated into these ear designs.

Disney May Be Making A Live-Action ‘The Aristocats’

Disney May Be Making A Live-Action 'The Aristocats'

Disney May Be Making A Live-Action ‘The Aristocats‘. According to the folks at WeGotThisCovered.com, it is highly possible that Disney is looking to remake the 1970 Disney Classic, The Aristocats.

Okay, we are all little overwhelmed with the amount of Disney live-action-remake ideas that are swirling around the internet, but I do have to say, I am so excited about this one! The Aristocats is one of my favorite Disney Movies to curl up on the couch and watch with my family.

Disney May Be Making A Live-Action 'The Aristocats'

For those who may not be familiar with the Disney Classic from 1970, here is a synopsis of the film: “When a retired opera singer leaves her inheritance to her cat, Duchess (Eva Gabor), and Duchess’s three kittens, the woman’s butler drugs the cats and abandons them in the countryside in order to inherit the fortune himself. Lost in unfamiliar territory, Duchess and the kittens meet Thomas O’Malley (Phil Harris), an alley cat willing to help them return to their home in Paris. They meet several kooky characters along the way, including two English geese and an alley cat jazz band.”

Disney May Be Making A Live-Action 'The Aristocats'

Disney has been met with both praise and criticism from fans for its decision to keep producing “live-action remakes” of the Disney Classics. But with films such as Aladdin (2019) and The Lion King (2019) both reaching over $1 billion in the global box office, it is unlikely Disney will stop the trend any time in the near future.

Disney May Be Making A Live-Action 'The Aristocats'

For now, the film is nearly in the concept stage and has not been assigned a director, writer, or theatrical release date. If the film does not make it to the big screen we could still see a live-action The Aristocats come to Disney+, the new streaming service for all things Disney launching November 12, 2019. If the film comes to fruition, The Aristocats will likely be styled similarly to The Lion King(2019) or Lady and the Tramp (2019) coming to Disney+.

Would you like to see a live-action The Aristocats? What do you think of the live-action remakes? What other Disney Classics do you want to see return to the big screen? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Company for all things Disney!

Kindergarten Teacher Brings Disney Magic Into The Classroom

Magical teacher

teacher with Disney classroom

With the summer drawing to an end, most students are now back in the classroom. For one classroom at Ayer Elementary School, it’s almost as if summer vacation never ended.

Carlanda Williams, a kindergarten teacher, couldn’t take her students to Disney so she brought the magic to her classroom.

After sharing the videos of her classroom on Twitter she accumulated over 170,000 views, but then everyone began sharing the videos. Before she knew it, her classroom had gone viral.

The classroom is filled with Disney themed centers, a library with Disney books and a Disney World castle backdrop, as well as an “It’s a Small World” social studies area. “Ms. Williams said she got the inspiration to decorate her classroom like Disneyland because she loves the theme park.”– www.yourcentralvalley.com

The Principal for Ayer Elementary, Lynn Rocha-Salazar She said she heard about Ms. Williams going viral from her son. “I actually learned about it from my son last night,” said Rocha-Salazar. “He said, I understand you have a new teacher at your school, I think she just went viral.” “I am just really excited to have her as a new hire,” said Rocha-Salazar. “It’s really nice to have someone who brings great energy.” -www.yourcentralvalley.com

Ms. Williams is certainly a dedicated teacher, while she does get a $200 reimbursement from the school for her decor, she said that she spent hundreds out of pocket.  Though, she doesn’t mind going out of her way for her students. “If I have to go without for a little bit to get some things for my classroom then I always do.” Some of her former students refer to her as the “Magical Teacher” for her willingness to always go above and beyond for them.

Kindergarten Teacher Brings Disney Magic Into The Classroom

The “Magical Teacher” and her current class seem to have a magical school year ahead of them. The students even got to take home “I’m celebrating” Disneyland buttons with “First day of kindergarten” written on them.

First Look At Disney Skyliner Costumes

skyline costumes

The Disney Skyliner, set to open on September 29, will be an incredible new way to travel around Walt Disney World Resort!

It will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios and International Gateway at Epcot to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort.

First Look At Disney Skyliner Costumes

But guest won’t be the only ones flying in style. Walt Disney Imagineering partnered with Creative Costuming to design a 1960’s airline travel costume for their Cast Members.

Inspired by the colors and design of the cabins, they were able to pick two colors to create these costumes, teal for the women and tangerine for the men. The fabric they chose for the shirts have properties like moisture wicking control and some venting on the back and sides to give air flow making it perfect for that Florida weather.

Are you excited to go on the Disney Skyliner next month?
