With the summer drawing to an end, most students are now back in the classroom. For one classroom at Ayer Elementary School, it’s almost as if summer vacation never ended.
Carlanda Williams, a kindergarten teacher, couldn’t take her students to Disney so she brought the magic to her classroom.

The classroom is filled with Disney themed centers, a library with Disney books and a Disney World castle backdrop, as well as an “It’s a Small World” social studies area. “Ms. Williams said she got the inspiration to decorate her classroom like Disneyland because she loves the theme park.”– www.yourcentralvalley.com
The Principal for Ayer Elementary, Lynn Rocha-Salazar She said she heard about Ms. Williams going viral from her son. “I actually learned about it from my son last night,” said Rocha-Salazar. “He said, I understand you have a new teacher at your school, I think she just went viral.” “I am just really excited to have her as a new hire,” said Rocha-Salazar. “It’s really nice to have someone who brings great energy.” -www.yourcentralvalley.com
Ms. Williams is certainly a dedicated teacher, while she does get a $200 reimbursement from the school for her decor, she said that she spent hundreds out of pocket. Though, she doesn’t mind going out of her way for her students. “If I have to go without for a little bit to get some things for my classroom then I always do.” Some of her former students refer to her as the “Magical Teacher” for her willingness to always go above and beyond for them.
The “Magical Teacher” and her current class seem to have a magical school year ahead of them. The students even got to take home “I’m celebrating” Disneyland buttons with “First day of kindergarten” written on them.
