Marvel’s ‘Cloak & Dagger’ Cancelled After 2 Seasons on Freeform

Marvel's 'Cloak & Dagger' Cancelled After 2 Seasons on Freeform

Marvel’s ‘Cloak & Dagger’ Cancelled After 2 Seasons on Freeform. The YA series showcased on Freeform has been cancelled after the promotion of Kevin Feige to Chief Creative Officer. With the exit of Jeph Loeb, and creative control now in Feige’s hands, several Marvel Television series have been axed in favor of combining smaller series together or due to Feige’s new creative direction.

“We are so proud of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger and the trailblazing stories this series told,” Freeform said in a statement. “We are also grateful to our incredible talent Oliva Holt and Aubrey Joseph for bringing these beloved characters to life, and showrunner Joe Pokaski for his vision. We’d like to thank our partners at Marvel Television for a wonderful two seasons and are we are hopeful that we can find another project together.”

Comicbook.com shared the news and the fate of the shows stars, Aubrey and Olivia, “Aubrey Joseph (Tyrone/Cloak) and Olivia Holt (Tandy/Dagger) will reprise their roles as Cloak & Dagger on the third season of Marvel’s Runaways, set to premiere later this year, and they will also voice the characters in the animated Spider-Man series on Disney XD. But as far as their own adventures in their series goes, their time is at an end.”

Cloak & Dagger is far from being the first Marvel Series affected by the change, ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is entering it’s final season, Ghost Rider was cancelled very shortly after the project was announced, and all Marvel shows appearing on Netflix such as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Daredevil, and The Defenders, were all cancelled after the announce of Disney’s new streaming service Disney+.

Other Marvel Television projects such as Hulu’s Helstrom, and Freeform’s Runaways, will continue as scheduled, but likely will be the only series to remain active for the time being.

Marvel Studios is looking to step away from television and focus on the MCU and new the new Marvel Series coming to Disney+ such as: WandaVision, Loki, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, What If…?, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Marvel’s Hero Project, and Ms. Marvel.

Mia’s Italian Kitchen Is One Of Orlando’s Best Dining Deals

Mia’s Italian Kitchen Is One Of Orlando’s Best Dining Deals

Mia’s Italian Kitchen is one of Orlando’s best dining deals. Not only did we get to experience an amazing variety of food from starters to desserts, but the Bottomless Dining deal is one you can’t beat. Mia’s Italian Kitchen is located in Orlando off International Drive and between Universal Studios and Walt Disney World Resort.

The atmosphere of this charming new restaurant is a mix of fine art with a contemporary feel. It was a cozy and relaxing spot and would be perfect for a fun date night or a family dinner.

Bottomless Dining

Mia’s Italian Kitchen has a menu which includes Bottomless Dining. It’s brought out like family style serving for anyone who chooses this option. Bottomless Dining is $34 person and an insane deal. We’re talking anything off the menu and as much of it while you’re there. You can look up the dining menu here. A little tip for our server was try not to start with too much bread and pizza so you can try as much of the menu as possible.

For our starters we got a nice verity to try. The cheese board was beautiful and a delicious way to start our dining experience. The second dish is the Stuffed Calamari and was one of my favorites of the entire night. It was stuffed with a house-made spicy Italian fennel sausage. While it was spicy I would definitely get this again. The next starter is Gnocchi and probably the best I’ve ever tried.

We got to also try a few different entrees. Pictured above is a Prosciutto & Arugula Pizza, a Shrimp and Cauliflower Salad, Bucatini Cacio E Pepe, a Shrimp Diavolo, and a Flank Steak with creamy parmesan polenta. All of these dishes were absolutely mouth watering. My favorites were actually the Brick Oven Pizza and the Flank Steak. There were so many options we will need to go back to be able to try them all. The food was just amazing.

Of course we couldn’t leave without finishing off with dessert. We got to try some Italian favorites like a delicious Cannoli, Tiramisu, and some Apple-Ricotta Donuts. All of these were incredible. My favorite had to be the Cannoli but you really couldn’t go wrong with whichever you picked. Good news is with Bottomless Dining you could choose them all!

Final Thoughts

We absolutely loved Mia’s Italian Kitchen. The staff was delightful and friendly, the food was simply amazing and most of it made in house, and the atmosphere was perfect for any occasion. Thank you again so much for our invite to come and try Bottomless Dining. We will definitely be returning. If you’re visiting Orlando or a local I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s right near Universal and a short drive from Disney. The deal will be hard to top.

These also make fabulous gifts, because they each have a bit of their own theme. The Incredibles one features Elastigirl on one bangle, and a round charm that says “Incredible Mom” on the other. I don’t know many Disney moms who wouldn’t love this set!

The Monsters University set, and my personal favorite of the collection features Mike, Sulley, and a Monsters U charms. This pair is perfect for the Monsters loving best friend in your life.

Pixar Bangles From Alex and Ani Take Style To Infinity And Beyond

The Wall-E bangles have EVE, and Wall-E soaring through the galaxy. A round charm accompanies them that says “I will follow you to the stars”, all I can say is aawwwwwee!!

Pixar Bangles From Alex and Ani Take Style To Infinity And Beyond

Bo Peep joins Woody on this shiny silver bangle, with a coordinating charm that says “Toys at Play”. I love how they are showing this pair back together again! If you look closely at the Toys at Play charm you’ll notice silhouettes of other Toy Story favorites hidden among the letters.

UP!

There is also an UP! bangle set that we do not have pictured here. The UP! bracelet is actually the only rose gold colored set in the collection, and features Carl and Ellie in their arm chairs. A charm inspired by the Adventure Book comes with them that has balloons and says “You are my greatest adventure”. This bangle set is so romantic it brings tears to my eyes!

You can find these gorgeous new Pixar Bangles by Alex and Ani throughout Walt Disney World and Disneyland where designer jewelry pieces are sold!

Special thank you to the lovely Susan for the fabulous photos!

Disney Is Rebooting ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ without Captain Jack Sparrow

Disney Is Rebooting 'Pirates of the Caribbean' without Captain Jack Sparrow

Disney Is Rebooting ‘Pirates of the Caribbean‘ without Captain Jack Sparrow. Roughly a year or so ago rumors swirled that Disney was looking to reboot the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, but this time, without Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Though this news may be shocking to fans, Disney seems to have stepped away from working with Johnny Depp due to the mounting troubles in Depp’s professional and personal life.

Disney Is Rebooting 'Pirates of the Caribbean' without Captain Jack Sparrow

“I think he [Johnny Depp] has had a great run. Obviously, he’s made that character his own and it’s become the character he’s most famous for now,” Stuart Beattie said to Daily Mail. “And kids all over the world love him as that character so I think it’s been great for him, it’s been great for us, so I’m just very, very happy about it.”

Disney has brought on veteran Pirates writer, Ted Elliott, and hired Chernobyl creator, Craig Mazin, to create an all new story that will give the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise “a kick in the pants.”  Disney Producer Sean Bailey wants to bring fresh faces to the franchise.

“We want to bring in a new energy and vitality,” shared Bailey.

Originally in 2018, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, were signed on to reboot the franchise, but stepped down to focus on Deadpool 3 after Disney’s acquisition of Fox. Expected to return to the franchise is Executive Producer, Jerry Bruckheimer.

It is currently unknown if this Pirates reboot will premiere in theaters or possibly as a Disney+ original series or film on Disney’s new streaming service launching November 12th.

The Frozen and Beauty and the Beast Star, Josh Gad, recently heard the news about a Florida man who was arrested for having sex with a stuffed Olaf doll inside of a target. Though a less than ideal situation, Gad had a hilarious response to the news:

“Sonetimes…I do not like warm hugs,” Josh posted to his verified twitter account, along with a link to the Daily Star report of the incident.

https://twitter.com/joshgad/status/1187379285859827714?s=21

According to a report by the Orlando Sentinel, “Cody Christopher Meader, 20, of St. Petersburg, FL was taken Tuesday to Pinellas County Jail and faces a criminal mischief charge, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. Meader entered the Target located off 7150 U.S. Highway 19 in Pinellas Park at 2 p.m. Tuesday and walked to the toy aisle, records show. He then grabbed a stuffed “Olaf” doll and proceeded to “dry hump” it…When Meader finished with the Olaf doll, he put it back on the shelf, and then walked to a large stuffed unicorn doll, laid it on the floor and dry humped it as well, Grantham said. PPPD officers arrived and arrested Meader in the store. The merchandise was unable to be re-sold and was destroyed, Grantham said.”

Target has recently entered a new agreement with Disney and the two companies have coordinated the creation of mini Disney Stores inside various Target locations, with the hopes of opening more in the future. Currently on display is merchandise for Frozen II, set to release in theaters November 22nd.

Recently, Josh Gad appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and shared a bold belief about the new film being better than the original, particularly the films new album.

“Can I just say something outrageous? I’m not even sure if I’m allowed to say this, but can I just say I think the songs are even better in this movie. Now I’ve set the bar so high, but they are so good. Bobby Lopez and Kristin Lopez, who wrote the original, they came back and did songs that are just [phenomenal]. That’s the big concern. How do you top those [Frozen] songs. They’re even catchier, I’m sorry to say,” Gad shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Holiday Minnie Mouse Ears Are Now At The Disney Parks

Holiday Minnie Mouse Ears

Holiday Minnie Mouse Ears Are Now At The Disney Parks

With all of the beautiful holiday merchandise arriving at the Disney Parks, we can’t forget about the ears! There are three gorgeous pairs of Holiday Minnie Mouse Ears available at Disneyland and also Walt Disney World. The ears are inspired by the Disney Holiday Snacks collection, and Mickey Farmhouse Christmas collection.

Holiday Minnie Mouse Ears Are Now At The Disney Parks

The plaid Mickey ears are part of the Mickey Farmhouse Christmas collection. These ears are a cozy red plaid trimmed with a fluffy faux sherpa bow, and lining. These these are a soft pair of ears with a traditional woodland Christmas vibe.

Holiday Minnie Mouse Ears

The Gingerbread Minnie Ears are one of two headbands inspired by the Disney Holiday Snack collection, These ears are the beautifully detailed gingerbread cookie ears! These ears are shaped like Mickey and Minnie gingerbread cookies, they also have printed and embroidered royal frosting details. I love that the red bow in the center also looks just like an old fashioned wrapped candy!

Holiday Minnie Mouse Ears

Lastly, is my favorite pair of new Minnie ears. These ears are candy cane inspired, and even say “Candy Cane Cutie” on the headband. These ears are coated in tons of sequins, and are topped off with a cheerful green bow.

You can find all three pairs of Holiday Minnie Mouse Ears at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World now! Sadly they aren’t available online yet, but we are crossing our fingers that Santa will deliver too!

An Assortment of New Disney MagicBands Have Arrived at WDW

Looking to add a little bit of arm candy to your wrist on your next Disney trip? You’ll have plenty to choose from with the new assortment of Disney MagicBands that have recently hit the shelves. They also come on the new less packaging card backs which lets you see the full band and all of the artwork too.

An Assortment of New Disney MagicBands Have Arrived at WDW

One of my favorites from the new assortment is the Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride band! This classic ride is no longer at Walt Disney World, but still lives on in the hearts of fans forever. Mr. Toad drives wildly across the countryside on a forest green band, which is quite a complimenting color for the graphics.

Disney MagicBands

The Disney Princesses have also gotten an updated MagicBand design! This time on the gorgeous millennial pink colored band. Pink ombre flowers gently fall behind Tiana, Belle, Mulan, and Cinderella. I love the princess assortment on this band too.

Disney MagicBands

You can set your own course as you unlock the magic of Walt Disney World with the new Moana band. I love that they chose the light blue band for the bright Moana graphics, it reminds me of the ocean on a clear day.

Disney MagicBands

Edna is taking care of Jack Jack on the new Incredibles MagicBand. It looks like she’s letting Jack Jack have some cookie nom noms too!

There is also a Grumpy band design which features a sleek white line art on black for a high contrast look. The band also says “Current Mood”, so it’s a good one for when you’re having one of those kind of days.

You can find this assortment of new Disney MagicBands throughout the Walt Disney World Resort where MagicBands are sold. These are open edition bands and retail for $24.99. Looking to grab some designs before you hit the parks? Be sure to check shopDisney for lots of great styles!

Pin Thursdays Set to Start at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Pin Thursday

In the world of Disney collectibles, pins are royalty. Disney parks around the world sell these unique and valuable keepsakes, themed by characters, rides, films, and the parks themselves. In recent years, pin trading has almost become an extreme sport of sorts, with enthusiasts wearing lanyards weighed down with “trade-ables,” seeking out cast members to exchange with. Often times they are looking for Cast Member exclusives and other rare or discontinued pins.

If you haven’t joined the fun yet, now is the time! Disney’s Animal Kingdom has announced a new “Pin Thursday” event that will encourage both the sale and exchange of these collectible keepsakes. Every Thursday, limited release and limited edition pins will become available for purchase at select locations within the theme park; specifically Discovery Trading Company and the African hub cart. For those looking for something a little less off-the-shelf, Cast Members will be adding to their unique collections for trading with guests.

Pin collecting can be a relatively expensive hobby for dedicated participants. Pins start at around $9.99 and can go up past $14.99 for pins with special elements, that are limited editions, or sets. Disney pins are available at every Disney theme park, whether in California, Florida, or abroad, as well as Downtown Disney District, Disney Springs, and online. However, it should be noted that many pins are location-specific and will not be sold elsewhere.

When you’re ready to trade, be sure and have your lanyard loaded up and ready to go in case of meeting well-stocked cast members! And don’t forget to check out Pin Thursdays at Animal Kingdom on the week of your choosing!
