New Disney+ Series ‘Diary of a Future President’ Arriving in January 2020. Told from the narration of her diary, “Diary of a Future President” follows Elena, a Cuban-American 12-year-old girl as she navigates the ups and downs of middle school and begins her journey to become the future president of the United States.

“Formerly titled “Diary of a Female President,” the series stars up-and-coming actor Tess Romero (“Blind Spot,” “Alternatino”) who portrays young Elena, an unabashed, ultra-observant, 12-year-old with a strong point of view, who walks through the world with purpose and confidence. Charlie Bushnell, who makes his acting debut in the series, plays Bobby, Elena’s sweet and mischievous older brother. Selenis Leyva (“Orange Is the New Black,” “Murphy Brown,” “Maniac”) stars as Gabi, Elena and Bobby’s sharp and loving mom. Michael Weaver (“Here and Now,” “The Real O’Neals,” “Notes from the Underbelly”) plays Sam, a lawyer at Gabi’s firm who is in the beginnings of a relationship with her. Gina Rodriguez (“Jane the Virgin,” “Someone Great”) has a guest-starring role as adult Elena, the president of the United States. Rodriguez also directed the first episode of the series.”

The Disney+ original series, “Diary of a Future President,” from I Can and I Will Productions and CBS Television Studios, will premiere on Friday, January 17 on Disney+. Gina Rodriguez and Emily Gipson (“Someone Great”) serve as executive producers on the 10-episode series, along with creator Ilana Peña (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”), on whose childhood the show was inspired, showrunner Robin Shorr (“The Carmichael Show”) and Brad Silberling (“Jane the Virgin”).

Disneyland Paris’ Autopia Gets a Magical Makeover

Beep beep! En route pour Disneyland Paris! The European Disney Park has recently revamped their Autopia attraction and it is better than ever. From the overall appearance of the ride to the energy-friendliness, it seems not an area has been left untouched and if it weren’t an ocean away we’d be on it now!

Having opened in April of 1992, and as one of the oldest rides in the park, Autopia has been due for an update. It was closed back on November 4th, 2018 for just that purpose, with the promise that it would reopen in late 2019. The entire track got a renewal, and now each vehicle has its own unique color scheme from a fresh paint job. All elements have had a color touch-up, including the now-metallic coils that reach into the sky. But the work has taken on more depth than simple aesthetics; projectors have been replaced with 1500 LED lights, reducing the electric power from 450 kilowatts to 42 kilowatts. That’s a major difference in energy that also enables the dynamic lights to change colors. The lights will be used to tell a story about ”Discoveryland” (Disneyland Paris’ version of Tomorrowland) from the rooftops.

The changes were developed by a team of Imagineers and carried out by a dedicated construction team over the last year. All in all, Autopia is almost a new ride, and guests will be able to enjoy its fresh appeal for years to come. Disneyland Paris, nous avons hâte de voire!

Cosmo the Dog from Netflix’s Fuller House has died from complications in surgery at the age of 4.

Fuller House shared this tweet earlier today:

To celebrate this momentous occasion Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be celebrating with Avatar 10^th anniversary merchandise and a tasty treat to commemorate James Cameron’s inspirational hit that left millions of moviegoers longing to visit the jaw-dropping Pandora he created for the big screen in 2009.

From Dec. 17-19, Pongu Pongu will offer a celebratory cupcake featuring vanilla cake with blueberry cheesecake filling and blueberry buttercream to mark the film’s anniversary.

Recently Disney announced a new themed land coming to Shanghai Disney Resort. Now the ‘Zootopia’ main construction has officially begun for the second biggest addition to the park with the help of a few friends.

The land will feature a new major attraction with new innovative technology and immersive storytelling, “Zootopia”-themed merchandise, entertainment, and creatively curated cuisine.

“This is an immensely exciting time for Shanghai Disney Resort and Zootopia fans alike,” said Joe Schott, President and General Manager, Shanghai Disney Resort. “Since we announced the development of our new Zootopia-themed land earlier this year we have been overwhelmed by the excitement and anticipation expressed by fans from across China and around the world. We are pleased to announce the start of the ‘Zootopia’ main construction for the new land, a significant milestone in its development.”

Doug Chiang is responsible for overseeing all designs for the Star Wars franchise and has been working closely with Porsche to bring to life a model that is equally Porsche and Star Wars in a cohesive design.

Porsche also shared, “In addition to the model’s public unveiling at the “Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker” premiere in December, Porsche will also be showcasing their first all-electric car – the Taycan – at the event, which launched in early September. Deliveries to the US will start at the end of the year. In Europe, the Taycan will be handed over to customers from the beginning of 2020.”

‘Frozen II’ Becomes 6th Disney Movie to Earn $1 Billion in 2019. Disney has been dominating at the Box Office this year and has added another title to the “Billion Dollar Club”. Frozen II has become the 6th Disney film this year to earn $1 billion or more at the global box office, earning an estimated $1.03 billion as of today, and they are not stopping there.

Disney still has the release of Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker to look forward to this weekend, and it is completely possible that the final installation of the Skywalker Saga will also earn $1 billion or more before the end of its theatrical run.

Frozen II joins other Disney movies such as: Avengers: Endgame ($2.8B), The Lion King ($1.66B), Captain Marvel ($1.13B), Toy Story 4 ($1.07B), and Aladdin ($1.05B).

“Why was Elsa (Idina Menzel) born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna (Kristen Bell), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), Olaf (Josh Gad), and Sven, she’ll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen II,” she must hope they are enough.”

“It’s difficult to describe the momentousness [year] that Disney is enjoying,” says senior media analyst at Comscore, Paul Dergarabedian. “Disney has consistently put almost unfathomable numbers on the board by delivering a diverse and irresistible slate of films, while capitalizing on the goodwill and viewer loyalty that has been built up by years.”

New Stores & Eateries Coming to Flamingo Crossings Near Disney World

New stores and restaurants are coming to Flamingo Crossings at Walt Disney World! Disney has just shared more details on additional plans for this large shopping center.

The development will include a 250,000 sq. ft. retail center with more than 50 shopping options and 1,700 parking spots.

Target will be the primary “hub” of Flamingo Crossings with PDW, Bento Asian Kitchen + Sushi, Five Guys, Ben & Jerry’s, and Dunkin’ obtaining retail spots too. Walgreens is also due to start construction on a brand-new 12,500 sq. ft. store in an outer part of the center.

Walt Disney World will also have a hotel with 1,750 rooms there. Four resorts are currently under construction: the Residence Inn by Marriott, Fairfield by Marriott, Homewood Suites by Hilton, and Home2 Suites by Hilton. These four hotels are set to be completed by 2020. There is also an additional hotel, a Hampton by Hilton, set to be completed in 2021. Lastly, the SpringHill Suites by Marriott and the TownePlace Suites by Marriott at Flamingo Crossings are already open and operating.

Disney also announced that there will be additional campus housing for Disney College Program participants. This housing will accommodate 10,400 students who are involced in Disney Internships and College Programs. This construction will be completed in phases. Phase 1 is set to open in 2020 and the rest will be completed by 2023.

Finally, there is expected to be an apartment complex called “Flamingo Crossings West”. This complex will house 1,300 apartments across 93 acres of land.

The First Disneyland Paris Princess Run Debuts in May 2020

A new runDisney race is coming to Disneyland Paris! The inaugural Disneyland Paris Princess Run will take place next year on May 8-10, 2020.

Runners can enjoy being a part of the Ariel themed 5k or Belle’s Beauty and the Beast inspired 10k race. Since it’s the 70th anniversary celebration of Cinderella, the participants of the Cinderella Challenge 13k can take part in two races to receive an additional challenge medal.

Also, kids can take part in 100m, 200m, and 1km races. So kids can enjoy their own races and feel the magic of being at a runDisney event. What’s fun is a lot of the princesses’ animal companions from the movies will available as characters to encounter along the race routes!

Runners and runDisney fans will want to register soon before the tickets sell out for this event! Being at Disneyland Paris is magical and this Princess inspired race will enchant many guests to attend the inaugural race weekend.

For those seeking addition runDisney races, the Disney Park also hosts its fifth annual Disneyland Paris Run Weekend on September 24-27.
