New Monorails Coming To Tokyo Disneyland Resort!

New Monorails Coming To Tokyo Disneyland Resort!

The public transport of the future is getting a makeover and making it’s way to Tokyo!

Tokyo Disneyland just announced a new monorail line “Resort Liner (Type C)” that will make it’s debut this Spring on May 21, 2020.

This new line will allow guests to travel between the different parts of Tokyo Disney Resort starting this year and with the full project being complete by 2024.

Some of the changes we can see between the new monorails and the old ones are the size of the Mickey shaped windows, they are definitely increasing their size which is great because this allow guest to have a better view of the resort.

As for the interior the space has been widened and the ceiling is higher. The seats have also changed from a curved shape to a long seat allowing more guests to sit down during their trip.

The Mickey shaped handles are now adjustable in three different levels so guests from all heights can reach them, such a great idea!

The light inside the cars is also being adjusted, now around the ceiling and underneath the seats to give it a more cozy and warm feeling, which is perfect specially after those long days at the parks.

Take a look at the behind the scenes video here:

Pixar’s ‘Monsters at Work’ Rumored To Release on Disney+ This March

Pixar's 'Monsters at Work' Rumored To Release on Disney+ This March

Pixar’s ‘Monsters at Work’ Rumored To Release on Disney+ This March. During the 2019 D23 Expo, Disney shared a whole bunch of new content coming to their new streaming service, Disney+. Many titles included:Star Wars The Mandalorian, a Lizzie McGuire Reboot, Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but many Pixar fans were excited to hear the development of a new spin-off series from the Monsters Inc franchise, called Monsters at Work.

A premise for the series shared that Monsters at Work takes place 6 months after the events of Monsters Inc. and will follow the journey of the monster world adapting to using laughter energy instead of scream energy. The shows protagonist, Tylor Tuskmon, is a recent graduate from MU and was Monsters University’s Top Scarer of his graduating class, but what will Tylor do with his now “useless” degree?

The series has yet to receive a formal release date, and was left out of the 2020 Disney+ Super Bowl Commercial, despite being announced as a 2020 released title in the past. The folks at What’sNextOnDisneyPlus seem to believe Monsters at Work will premiere in March 2020, to help bridge the gap between Star Wars The Mandalorian and Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The cast includes the return of many iconic characters, as well as some newcomers to the franchise. Cast for the series so far includes: Billy Crystal (Mike), John Goodman (Sully), Ben Feldman (Tylor Tuskmon), John Ratzenberger (Yeti), Jennifer Tilly (Celia Mae), Bob Peterson (Roz), Kelly Marie Tran (Val Little), Henry Winkler, Lucas Neff, Alanna Ubach (Cutter), Stephen Stanton (Needleman) and Aisha Tyler.

UK Veteran’s Dying wish was to goto Disney World

UK Veteran's Dying wish was to goto Disney World

A UK veteran who is dying from cancer was given a family trip to Walt Disney World thanks to the Sunday People and British Airways.

Lee Earnshaw, 43, was given just months to live and his dying wish was to visit Disney World with his wife and children.

UK Veteran's Dying wish was to goto Disney World

The family was given business class seats thanks to British Airways and stayed the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace in Disney Springs, they even got to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Lee, who was diagnosed with stage 4 incurable stomach cancer last June, with his wife Natalie set up a crowd-funding page to help them enjoy the honeymoon they never had at Disney World and for some household upgrades to help with his illness.

The family got to visit the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and even Disney’s Animal Kingdom. His son loved the rides and his daughter especially loved meeting Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto.

Here are some of the photos from their visit.

I would like to thank the British Army veteran for his service and our thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time.

We are glad Lee and his family got to experience the magic of Disney that we all love so much.

Muppet*Vision 3D Reopens at Disney Hollywood Studios

Muppet

“It’s the Muppets Show! It’s time to play the music! It’s time to light the lights!”

The Muppets are back in business at Disney Hollywood Studios.  Both the Muppet*Vision 3D show and exterior water fountain closed two weeks ago for refurbishment. The attraction reopened this weekend with a spruced-up appearance for guests.

First, the beloved water fountain has returned. It was a favorite for many Muppets fans since it featured Miss Piggy as the center of attention. The Miss Piggy fountain got a few touch-ups to refresh its appearance.

The main theater for guests is the second refurbished area. Not much has changed, but the visual aesthetic is better. The room looks like it got some new paint and deep cleaning. The crew replaced the curtains covering the Muppets screen as well.

The seats and carpet were also part of the refurbishment. Some seats have been replaced and the carpet looks better.

However, the Muppets show and experience remains the same. Nothing was done to modify the actual show or experience. The areas they worked on for the refurbishment were mostly cosmetic changes and cleaning. But that’s ok! The Muppet*Vision 3D show is a classic and still entertains audiences. The refurbished areas help improve the experience since the attraction looks fresher in appearance.

With so many new features such as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land, it’s easy to overlook this attraction. The Muppet*Vision 3D attraction is a show you don’t want to miss. We hope you stop by there to see the comical Muppets on your next visit to Disney Hollywood Studios!

Behind the Scenes Look at the Making of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway Marquee

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway Marquee

We shared earlier this week about the successful installation of the neon marquee for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway! We are now less than a month away from the grand opening and the progress is unbelievable. Now we have a behind the scenes look at the making of this iconic marquee.

“One of the great details about this sign…the inspiration from it came from the original Chinese Theater, so all of the elements were taken from previous signs that had existed on the building exterior,” said Brittany Gacsy, Graphic Fabrication Designer Sr, Walt Disney Imagineering.

The marquee, consisting of hand-crafted neon and built by thousands of design fabricators, has been through a very long process before getting to the classic look that it is now.

The success of this marquee only reminds us that we will soon be able to board Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and head into the cartoon craziness they are inviting us to! March 4…please come sooner!
