Live performances celebrating the music of Frozen were held at the Los Angeles Vibrato Grill Jazz Club on February 9th. Kristen Bell (voice of Anna), Idina Menzel (voice of Elsa), Josh Gad (voice of Olaf) and Santino Fontana (voice of Hans), accompanied by a live orchestra conducted by David Metzger, took the stage and performed many of the songs from the Oscar®-nominated, Golden Globe®-winning movie, FROZEN.
Idina Menzel performed the Oscar-nominated movie favorite, “Let It Go.” Joining the many celebrities in the audience, were songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, producer Peter Del Vecho and executive producer John Lasseter.
FROZEN has earned $900 million worldwide, since its release in theatres on November 27, 2013. The soundtrack has sold over 1 million units and 3.4 million tracks and has held the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 chart for four non-consecutive weeks. The FROZEN soundtrack is the longest-running No. 1 film soundtrack since 2003, and has peaked at No. 1 on iTunes, in more than 30 countries.
With beautiful songs, such as “Let it Go” and “Do you Want to Build a Snowman”, tugging at our heartstrings, the FROZEN soundtrack is already an all-time favorite and will continue to collect well deserved nominations and awards. Would you vote for “Let it Go” as the Oscar winner?
