New Indiana Jones 45th Anniversary collection Her Universe
Grab your fedora and map, because Her Universe is celebrating a major milestone in ultimate style. The new Indiana Jones 45th Anniversary collection has officially dropped, and it is packed with the perfect blend of rugged archaeology vibes and cozy, everyday comfort. Whether you are actively decoding ancient ruins or just marathon-watching the classic films from your couch, this lineup has something to upgrade your nerd-fashion wardrobe.
First up is the showstopping Indiana Jones Expedition Dress. If you have ever wanted to look effortlessly put-together while evading giant rolling boulders, this is your outfit. It channels classic vintage adventurer vibes with a woven button-up bodice, statement bishop sleeves, and a sharp brown necktie. The real treasure, though, is the gorgeous brown skirt featuring a detailed border print of Indy himself, his signature whip, and iconic motifs from the movies. To top it all off, it comes with a removable belt to cinch the look and, the absolute best feature of any dress, built-in side seam pockets to store your artifacts.
If your style is a bit more distinguished professor than temple raider, the Indiana Jones Snake Cardigan is about to be your new obsession. Perfect for trading in your dusty field gear for a day in the classroom, this piece rocks a super trendy brown color-blocked design in a comfortable, slouchy, boxy fit. It pays homage to Indy’s infamous phobia with detailed snakes embroidered on the chest and whips winding down the sleeves. Spin around, and everyone will see “Indiana” emblazoned across the back right above his unmistakable fedora.
When it is time to map out your next route from the comfort of home, you will want to live in the Indiana Jones Wide Leg Lounge Pants. These pants take loungewear to a whole new level by merging maximum comfort with utilitarian edge. They feature an ultra-relaxed, wide-leg fit alongside practical cargo pockets and an easy-to-adjust elasticated drawstring waistband. Pop your hands in the pockets and you’ll find custom printed graphics of Indy’s hat, whip, and a few slithering snakes scattered along the fabric.
Rounding out the collection is the incredibly cool Indiana Jones Logo Twofer Long-Sleeve T-Shirt. This layered-look staple gives off an instant vintage rock-merch aesthetic, making it an effortless choice for casual weekend wear. The front prominently displays a bold graphic silhouette of Indy flanked by eerie skull, whip, and spider icons. With its uniquely textured, mineral-washed long sleeves contrast-stitched under a classic tee bodice, it is the perfect laid-back piece to celebrate forty-five years of cinematic history.
Play Like a Kid Again as GoofyCore Returns to EPCOT for Cool Kids Summer
Summer is officially here, and EPCOT is throwing the ultimate unlocked-core-memory party for families. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to let loose and embrace your inner cartoon, the wait is over. CommuniCore Hall has officially transformed into the zaniest spot in Walt Disney World as GoofyCore returns for Cool Kids Summer.
Running through September 8, 2026, this limited-time takeover is all about shedding the rules of being a grown-up and remembering exactly what it feels like to play like a kid again.
The second you step inside, the energy hits you. Music is pumping, the walls are covered in bright, splattered decals and wacky paint motifs, and DJ Dance Pants is already spinning tracks alongside the Goof Troop. This isn’t your average, polite Disney meet-and-greet, it’s an all-out, high-energy dance party where having wiggly moves, freestyle chaos, and explosive belly laughs is entirely the point. There is absolutely no wrong way to groove here; in fact, the rules are simple: the goofier the dance, the better.
But the silliness doesn’t stop on the dance floor. Goofy’s Game Machine is up and running, treating families to interactive games with playful, topsy-turvy twists. You can test your flexibility in a round of Loopy Limbo that keeps everyone guessing, or watch classic playground favorites turn into larger-than-life adventures with games like Goofy Says and Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks. Every single activity is meticulously designed to get kids moving, giggling, and making unforgettable summer memories alongside the main mouse’s best pal.
Of course, burning all that energy means you’re going to work up an appetite, and the event has you covered with some brilliantly themed snacks right outside the hall at the Grab-N-Goof kiosk. You can fuel up on Chicken Goof-Ups (breaded chicken breast bites tossed with fried cheese curds) or grab a Goof Troop Mac Snack (fried mac and cheese with marinara). Wash it all down with Goofy’s Gone Fishing, a blue raspberry lemonade loaded with strawberry juice pearls and gummy sharks, and top it off with the Gawrsh! Worms Everywhere Cake. It’s the perfect, messy, delicious fuel for a summer day spent entirely in your element.

The Mandalorian & Grogu Crushes Memorial Day with $100M+ Debut
After a seven-year theatrical hiatus, “Star Wars” returned to the big screen with The Mandalorian & Grogu, capturing $82 million over the weekend and an estimated $102 million through the Memorial Day holiday. While securing a $100M+ post-pandemic opening is a major win, the results have box office analysts divided. On one hand, it’s a strong, steady launch aligned with expectations; on the other, it marks the lowest theatrical debut for a Star Wars film since Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, highlighting changing dynamics for Hollywood’s flagship franchise.
Before this weekend, the franchise’s lowest launch belonged to 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, which pulled in $84 million over its opening weekend and $103 million through Memorial Day. However, Solo faced far steeper uphill battles, including weak reviews and poor word-of-mouth. Burdened by a bloated $300 million budget, it ultimately became the first Star Wars film to lose money in theaters, finishing its global run with just $392 million.
Backed by a leaner $165 million budget and strong word-of-mouth, The Mandalorian & Grogu is on much safer financial footing than past spin-offs. The Jon Favreau-directed film snagged an impressive “A-” CinemaScore from opening weekend audiences—outperforming 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker (“B+”). However, initial ticket buyers skewed heavily male (63%) and over the age of 25 (75%). The true test of its commercial longevity will be its second weekend, which will reveal if the post-Empire galactic adventure can expand its audience beyond die-hard Star Wars fans and successfully break out with broader family crowds.
Internationally, The Mandalorian & Grogu brought in $64 million, pushing its four-day global total to $165 million. Box office analyst David A. Gross noted that despite its global fame, Star Wars has historically faced softer traction overseas. This film marks Lucasfilm’s first theatrical release since 2019’s billion-dollar hit The Rise of Skywalker, a gap during which the studio shifted its focus to Disney+ series like Ahsoka and Andor. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait years for the next big-screen venture: Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter, starring Ryan Gosling, is slated for Memorial Day 2027 and is being eyed by insiders as a true creative restart for the franchise.
According to Gross, it’s great news for the franchise that its extended detour into streaming didn’t noticeably hurt its big-screen appeal.
Did you go see The Mandalorian & Grogu this weekend?
How Mickey Mouse and Frozen Are Driving Disney’s Future
At the 2026 Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, Disney Consumer Products (DCP) showcased its massive global momentum under the theme “Icons Unleashed.” By connecting storytelling with everyday lifestyle products, Disney laid out a strategic roadmap for licensees and retailers through holiday 2027. Paul Gitter, EVP of Global Brand Commercialization, emphasized that expanding iconic characters into categories like fashion, wellness, and sports ensures year-round consumer engagement and drives global growth for Disney’s partners.
Under the theme “Icons Unleashed,” Disney Consumer Products proved that its characters are living cultural forces, not static icons. From timeless classics like Mickey Mouse to powerhouse franchises like Marvel, Frozen, Pixar, and Star Wars, these brands are designed to adapt and surprise. Whether through high fashion, streetwear, trading cards, or gaming, Disney is constantly remixing its stories to meet modern consumers exactly where they are.
Disney demonstrated its unified approach to franchise-building at the Licensing Expo by bringing together senior leadership and top creative talent to showcase how the company bridges entertainment and products.
Executive Leadership: Key presentations featured Chief Marketing Officer Asad Ayaz, Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum, and Disney Consumer Products President Lisa Baldzicki.
Creative Powerhouses: Creative heads Kevin Feige (Marvel) and Dave Filoni (Lucasfilm) were joined by Frozen 3 director Trent Correy.
On-Screen & Stage Talent: The event featured rising stars from the upcoming Camp Rock 3 alongside West End performers from Frozen: The Hit Broadway Musical, emphasizing Disney’s multi-dimensional approach to the fan experience.
Disney’s “Blockbuster Season” strategy is officially in high gear, designed to translate cinematic hype into long-term retail success. With an incredibly heavy-hitting film slate on the horizon—including Toy Story 5, The Mandalorian and Grogu, the live-action Moana, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day—Disney Consumer Products is executing a massive global rollout. Spanning over 100 product categories in 180 countries, this coordinated effort ensures that Disney’s storytelling shapes lifestyle trends, influences culture, and maintains retail relevance well beyond the theater walls.
At the core of Disney Consumer Products’ approach is a licensing framework anchored around meeting the consumer where they are to drive brand and cultural relevance across five lifestyle pillars.
Fashion — Establishing characters as global fashion icons by unlocking deeper designer access and premium collaborations, informed by recent initiatives like its multi-year partnership with Vogue, which invited creatives into the Disney archives to reinterpret Mickey Mouse through a modern lens ahead of his 100th anniversary.
Food — Bringing characters into everyday life through food-centered experiences, like the STAR WARS™ Grogu Café and La La Land Kind Café’s Mickey & Friends collaboration, highlighting how food, design, and local community can come together to create shared spaces that extend storytelling beyond traditional retail.
Music — Deepening Disney’s presence in music‑led culture by pairing iconic characters with global talent and performance, building on culturally resonant moments like the Complex x BLACKPINK capsule that connected fashion, fandom and sound to new audiences.
Sports — Scaling sports‑driven storytelling into year‑round global platforms and collaborations like Formula 1®’s “Fuel the Magic,” which blends competition, culture, content, and immersive fan experiences.
Wellness — Embedding brands more authentically into wellness and performance‑led lifestyles, building from momentum established through collaborations with brands like lululemon and adidas that show how fandom can translate seamlessly into activewear and everyday fitness.
These pillars guide how Disney partners, innovates, and brings its brands into new spaces — often where fans least expect them.
The Licensing Expo also offered a forward look at Disney’s most anticipated brand milestones, including early teasers for Mickey Mouse’s 100th anniversary and the continued global expansion of Frozen. Additional retail momentum was signaled for classic franchises like Winnie the Pooh and Lilo & Stitch. Paul Gitter, EVP of Disney Consumer Products, emphasized that early planning and global mobilization are essential to unlocking new creative collaborations and IP discovery for these major cultural events. Moving forward, Disney is focusing on early retail alignment, creative flexibility, and an expanded brand management system to scale fandom worldwide.

Central Florida Zoo Shares Heartwarming Update on Rescued Sloths in Quarantine Care
The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens has shared a new update on the nine rescued sloths currently receiving specialized care behind the scenes, and thankfully, there is some encouraging progress to report. According to the zoo, this weekend marks 30 days since the sloths first arrived into quarantine care.
Since then, animal care teams, veterinarians, and nutrition specialists have been working around the clock to monitor and support the animals as they recover and adjust to their temporary new home. The zoo also shared new photos of all nine sloths: Dolce, Chewie, Leeloo, Hazel, Willow, Mojo Jojo, Blackberry, Phantom, and Pearl.
Perhaps the biggest update is that Chewie and Dolce are now out of intensive care, a promising sign after the pair initially required more advanced medical attention upon arrival. The remaining seven sloths are still under closer observation, though zoo officials say all continue receiving daily care, monitoring, and specially prepared diets tailored to their needs.
While the recovery process is still ongoing, the zoo says the sloths’ personalities are beginning to emerge more each day, hinting at brighter days ahead for the fuzzy little leaf-lovers.
The Central Florida Zoo first began caring for the sloths earlier this spring, though officials have remained careful and measured in sharing details while prioritizing the animals’ health and recovery. The update this week appears to be the most optimistic one yet.
And honestly, “Mojo Jojo the sloth” may already be winning the unofficial internet popularity contest. 🥹
The zoo says they plan to continue sharing updates on the sloths in the coming weeks as their progress continues.

One of the most dramatic real-life moments ever to happen during the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has come full circle, as Cast Member Robert Herrick has officially returned to the show nearly five months after being injured protecting guests from a runaway prop boulder.
The incident happened during a December 30, 2025 performance when the attraction’s massive 400-pound rubber boulder unexpectedly jumped its track during the iconic opening temple sequence. Instead of rolling safely along its intended path, the prop reportedly bounced toward audience members seated near the front rows of the theater.
Herrick, a longtime performer in the show and 36-year veteran Cast Member, reacted instantly. Witnesses say he moved directly between the boulder and the audience, taking the impact himself before the prop could continue toward guests.
Video from the incident quickly spread online, showing Herrick getting back to his feet with visible injuries after stopping the runaway prop. Guests in attendance described the moment as terrifying, with one person heard saying, “He literally saved our lives.”
In later interviews, Herrick revealed he suffered fractured vertebrae in his neck, specifically C6 and C7, along with cuts requiring stitches. He also spent weeks recovering in a neck brace. Despite the attention surrounding the incident, Herrick consistently downplayed his actions, saying he simply reacted to protect the audience.
Now, according to local reports, Herrick officially returned to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular this week, making his first performances since the accident. Fellow Cast Members reportedly welcomed him back with signs reading “The boulder didn’t stop you” and calling him “an inspiration to us all.”
Meanwhile, the famous boulder itself is still absent from the show.
Disney temporarily modified the opening sequence immediately after the incident, removing the rolling boulder effect entirely while safety teams reviewed what caused the malfunction. Nearly five months later, the altered version of the show remains in place, with the stunt sequence ending before the boulder moment occurs.
The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular has been a fan-favorite at Disney’s Hollywood Studios since 1989 and remains one of the park’s last surviving opening-day attractions. The giant rolling boulder scene has long been one of the show’s most iconic moments, inspired directly by Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Victoria & Albert’s Raises Prix-Fixe Menu Price to $375 at Disney’s Grand Floridian
Dining at Walt Disney World’s most luxurious restaurant just got even more expensive. Victoria and Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has officially increased pricing for its signature prix-fixe dining experience, with the base menu now starting at $375 per person before tax and gratuity. That marks an $80 jump from the previous $295 starting price.
The upscale dining destination, which currently holds a Michelin star and remains one of the most prestigious restaurants in all of Central Florida, also raised pricing for its optional beverage pairings. Wine pairings now begin at $210 per guest, up from $155, while zero-proof pairings now start at $145, previously $115.
If you are doing the math at home, a full dinner for two with wine pairings, tax, and gratuity could now wander comfortably into “maybe we should’ve just bought another Lightning Lane Premier Pass instead” territory. 🍷💸
Located inside Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Victoria & Albert’s is known for its lavish Victorian-inspired setting, multi-course tasting menus, and highly personalized service. Guests dine beneath an elegant rotunda surrounded by murals, floral detailing, and butterfly accents while enjoying chef-driven dishes built around seasonal ingredients and modern culinary techniques.
The restaurant’s wine program is equally elaborate, featuring more than 500 selections from around the globe, including some vintages dating back to the early 1900s. Disney also continues expanding its hand-crafted zero-proof beverage program, which has become increasingly popular in recent years.
Victoria & Albert’s remains an adults-focused signature experience at Walt Disney World, with guests required to be at least 10 years old and adhere to a semi-formal or formal dress code. Reservations are notoriously difficult to secure, especially after the restaurant regained its Michelin star recognition.
While the new pricing has sparked plenty of debate online, many food enthusiasts point out that Victoria & Albert’s pricing is now landing closer to other Michelin-starred tasting menu experiences across major cities like New York, Chicago, and Napa Valley. Others argue the Disney “pixie dust tax” is beginning to push the experience into a whole different financial kingdom.
Still, despite the sticker shock, demand for Victoria & Albert’s remains incredibly strong, proving there are plenty of guests willing to say “Be Our Guest” to a nearly $400 dinner.
Imagineering Extends Encanto Ride Permit Through Spring 2027 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The magic of the Madrigal family is still under construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as Walt Disney Imagineering has officially extended a major permit tied to the upcoming Encanto attraction coming to the new Tropical Americas land.
A newly amended Notice of Commencement was recently filed for 610 DinoLand Drive, an address believed to correspond to the future Encanto attraction site inside the former Dino-Rama section of DinoLand USA. The permit once again lists Walt Disney Imagineering as the owner and longtime Disney contractor Whiting-Turner as the company overseeing the project.
While this is not a brand-new permit, it does extend the timeline for the ongoing “Area Development” work through May 19, 2027, giving Disney additional runway as construction continues to transform DinoLand USA into the lush new Tropical Americas expansion.
The permit marks the third extension connected to the project since the original filing back in late 2024. In permit-world terms, that is not exactly unusual for a project of this scale, especially one involving massive infrastructure work, ride systems, landscaping, themed architecture, and enough construction equipment to make Bruno definitely talk about it.
Construction progress has been moving steadily in recent months. Earlier this year, Imagineering celebrated a major milestone when the final steel beam for the Encanto ride building was installed and signed by the project team. Since then, work has accelerated on the attraction’s queue building and interior spaces.
The new town Esperanza will be situated in Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The town features classic Spanish-style architecture in the heart of the rainforest.
Disney previously confirmed the attraction will be the first-ever ride-through experience themed to Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Encanto. The attraction is expected to follow Antonio Madrigal the day after he receives his magical gift of communicating with animals, taking guests through the Casita and deeper into the vibrant world of the Madrigal family.
The Encanto attraction is just one piece of the larger Tropical Americas overhaul currently underway at Animal Kingdom. The new land will also include an Indiana Jones reimagining of DINOSAUR along with a new carousel themed to Disney animals.
Recent aerial photos and construction updates have shown vertical progress across the site, including structures resembling the Casita Madrigal and a large Mayan temple tied to the Indiana Jones attraction area. Disney has continued to state that Tropical Americas is expected to open sometime in 2027, though an exact date has not yet been announced.
Police Officers Turned Away from Disney Springs Over Law Enforcement Logos on Clothing
A night out at Disney Springs took an unexpected turn this week when several police officers visiting Orlando for a national traffic safety conference say they were denied entry because of clothing featuring law enforcement logos.
According to reports from local media and statements shared with attendees of the IPTM Symposium on Traffic Safety, officers from around the country attempted to enter Disney Springs wearing polos and apparel displaying agency insignias. Security personnel reportedly told them the clothing could potentially confuse guests into believing they were on-duty law enforcement officers working at Walt Disney World.
One officer told reporters they were instructed to either change clothes or turn their shirts inside out before entering the shopping and dining district. Another officer expressed frustration, saying many attendees simply wanted to enjoy Disney Springs during downtime from the conference and meet fellow officers from across the country.
The situation quickly spread among conference attendees, prompting organizers to advise guests to wear plain clothes if planning to visit Disney Springs. The story gained even more attention after Florida Lt. Governor Jay Collins reportedly visited Disney Springs personally to discuss the situation with security personnel.
Disney later clarified that security had been overly cautious in enforcing the policy and described the incident as a misunderstanding. The company also stated they apologized and looked forward to welcoming the affected guests back in the future.
Conference organizers later informed attendees that the issue had been resolved. Still, some officers interviewed afterward said the experience left a sour taste in their mouths and that they no longer planned to visit Walt Disney World during their stay.
Disney Springs, while open to the public without theme park admission, does maintain security screening procedures similar to the parks themselves. Disney policies already prohibit costumes and attire that could create confusion with official employees or emergency personnel, though this situation appears to have pushed that interpretation into unexpected territory.
The incident sparked plenty of debate online, with some guests supporting Disney’s efforts to avoid confusion and others questioning whether branded polos from visiting officers should have been considered an issue at all. Either way, it was certainly not the kind of “traffic control” these conference attendees expected to encounter on vacation.
Disneyland Resort Operations Unaffected by Ongoing Garden Grove Chemical Incident
An ongoing chemical incident at an industrial aerospace facility in Garden Grove, California has triggered evacuation orders for thousands of residents in the surrounding Orange County area. The incident originally began on Thursday, May 21, and has impacted parts of Garden Grove, Anaheim, and neighboring communities.
Because the situation is localized, Disneyland Resort is not inside the current evacuation zone. The resort sits approximately five miles away from the facility, and park operations are running normally with no direct impacts at this time.
While the situation remains fluid, local authorities are managing the scene. Guests heading to the parks this weekend should be aware of potential road closures and minor traffic disruptions in the surrounding area.
Here is what you need to know about current conditions and how this impacts your Disney vacation.
Is Disneyland closed because of the Garden Grove chemical situation
No, Disneyland Resort remains open. There is currently no impact on theme park operations, downtown areas, or resort hotels. Disney officials are actively monitoring the situation and staying in close contact with local emergency services and authorities.
Will Disneyland be evacuated?
There are currently no evacuation orders for Disneyland Resort. Because the theme parks are located roughly five miles away from the industrial facility, the resort sits safely outside of the designated evacuation perimeter.
Will the hazmat incident affect travel to Disneyland
It could affect your drive. While the parks themselves are operating normally, the surrounding cities of Garden Grove and Anaheim are experiencing active road closures and detours. Guests traveling to and from the resort should check local traffic updates and navigation apps before heading out to avoid delays.
Where to find official updates on the situation
For the latest official developments regarding the chemical incident and local road closures, you can follow the Orange County Fire Authority on their social media channels.
Disneyland Resort will continue to monitor the conditions and will provide immediate updates if any park operations are affected in the future.
