Legacy Cast Members to Receive EARidescent Nametags for Disney World 50th Anniversary. In a Facebook post, which can be viewed below, from Walt Disney World Cast and Comunity. We learned that along with new name tags for cast members. Legacy Cast members will be receiving a new name tag to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Disney World. Without a doubt, the Legacy Cast members deserve this cool upgrade.
The new nametag will be enhanced with EARidescent accents and holographic gold foil. We recently did an article showing off the new nametag for cast members which can be viewed here.
The Walt Disney Legacy Award recognizes Cast Members who go above and beyond to dream, create and inspire both fellow Cast Members and Guests, with recipients identified by their iconic blue nametags. In honor of our 50th anniversary, Walt Disney World Legacy Award recipients will soon be wearing a new, magical version of this famous accessory – enhanced with EARidescent accents and holographic gold foil. We can’t wait to see them debut as part of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” – and to celebrate ALL of the Cast Members that make magic for Guests and each other every day!
Inspired by the personal example of Walt Disney and his heritage of excellence, the Walt Disney Legacy Award recognizes Cast Members, Crew Members, and Imagineers who give the very best of themselves to our guests, their co-workers, and the company.
All Cast Members with CDI or CDD contacts are eligible, up to and including Senior Managers. Recipients must have worked in the company for at least two consecutive years and represent a daily commitment to the three key values of ‘dream, create and inspire’.
“[Award recipients] create magic for guests every day, inspire others by being inclusive and represent the best of Disney’s heritage,” according to the Walt Disney World website. “The Walt Disney Legacy Award recognizes Cast Members, Crew Members, and Imagineers around the world who embody the values behind the award of ‘dream, create and inspire.”
Legacy Cast Members are nominated not by guests for this award but rather by their co-workers, which makes the award special because it is co-workers recognizing another’s hard work.
I cannot wait to see friends of mine showing off the new EARidescent Nametags. The blue badge is well earned, and if you have had any interaction with the cast members wearing it, you know they always go above and beyond for guests.

Disney World Testing Fireworks at the End of June. Obviously, Magic Kingdom has not done a full firework show in over a year. Nonetheless, July 1st is coming quickly, and Disney needs to make sure everything is in working order. It appears that Disney will be testing the fireworks over the course of a few days and have warned local residents.
Disney will be conducting tests on June 26th and 28th. The surrounding communities have alerted their residents to the testing. This has been confirmed by sources around the Disney Theme parks. We got news from a few sources who live off Ream Rd behind the Magic Kingdom and confirmed this.
This news comes on the heels of yesterday’s announcement by Disney parks Blog, informing us of the return of Nighttime Spectaculars and both Epcot and Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom is bringing back the crowd favorite “Happily Ever After” along with Epcot returning with “Epcot Forever”
Are you as excited to see Disney World Testing Fireworks again? We absolutely love Happily Ever After and we were a little choked up during the announcement yesterday when the music hit. Reminding us of what we have been missing for the past year.
Reservations have filled up for Opening Night of the Fireworks. Join us as we will be at Polynesian Beach to enjoy the night on July 1.
Credit goes to The GoTofamily for sources on this article. Verified by a local family who wishes to remain anonymous, they need to finish the pool installation so we can join them watching fireworks from the sauna, who happen to live across from the Magic Kingdom.
