“The Wonderful World of Disney: Beauty and the Beast” – Sunday, Jan. 8 (8:00-10:30 p.m. EST) – Broadcast Premiere Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action retelling of the studio’s animated classic, which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle.
Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within. The film stars Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar® winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s eccentric but lovable father; Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Golden Globe® nominee Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; six-time Tony Award® winner Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe, the wardrobe.

During Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, and then again on Good Morning America, the hosts were given an inside look at Disney’s brand-new coaster. Which can only mean the attraction is complete on the inside. That leaves the landscaping and the sign to complete on the outside walkways.
We got the ride PeopleMover and got an overhead look at the Tron Lightcycle/ Run entrance ramp. The concrete is all poured and finished, most of the landscaping is now complete, and the new lighting and light poles are installed.
Most of the walkways behind Tron that lead to the cast Member only area are also done. You can now see the new walkways that go over the Train tracks are completed. You can see the images below.

From the Big Screen to the Theme Park
In 1982, Disney made filmmaking history with TRON, the first production of its kind to mix live action with computer-generated visuals and backlit animation. This iconic film went on to inspire video games, comic books, an animated series and the 2010 sequel TRON: Legacy—as well as this new Disney theme park attraction.

Take an inside look and ride along of Tron Lightcycle Run in the Magic Kingdom
Good Morning America received a sneak peek at Tron Lightcycle Run ahead of the Spring 2023 opening date. Talk about an AMAZING Christmas Present!
In the video, they shared an inside look at the Ride Queue along with the Tron Lightycle Ride Vehicles which look pretty tight… They kinda remind me of the ride vehicles for Flight of Passage in the Animal Kingdom.
You can get a closer look at the Ride Vehicle below from the D23 Expo:
Included in the Good Morning America Video the crew also were able to ride an almost completed Tron Coaster, we do know that the walkway into the attraction is close to being complete!
GMA experiences Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland rollercoaster “Tron: Light Cycle Run.” Disney’s new coaster is set to open in the spring of 2023 as its new “fastest” coaster.
Just a few days ago the Walt Disney World Railroad reopened to guests and we were able to peek behind the walls into the construction of Tron Lightcycle Run.
Between all of the testing, we have seen in the past few weeks, to information like how the attraction will offer Alternative Seating for Plus Size Guests we expect that Tron will open in EARLY Spring.
Even the audio on the Tomorrowland People Mover even mentions Tron Now:
I know we are excited about the opening of Tron Lightcycle Run. We expect Cast Member Testing to be underway sometime in January.
Avatar The Way of Water Box Office Nears $900 Million Globally
In only ten days’ time, Avatar The Way of Water has grossed 850 million dollars globally, making it the fifth highest-grossing film of 2022. Avatar is on pace to become the third film to gross one billion dollars at the box office this year. Only Jurassic World Dominion and Top Gun: Maverick have been able to gross one billion dollars this year, but Avatar The Way of Water seems poised to overtake them given the international success of the film.
Skeptics were curious if fans would be willing to return to a franchise that had seen such a long hiatus since its last film was released in 2009. James Cameron and his team have prepared numerous sequels, so this first film’s success engenders a confidence that those films can succeed. Cameron must have been under tremendous pressure to see this film perform, given the time and investment made, and the numbers now speak for themself.
Avatar continues to perform well internationally, and with the holiday week ahead, there’s no reason for the film to slow down now. Where do you think ‘Avatar The Way of Water will wind up in box office history? Let us know in a comment what you thought of the film and if you’re excited about more Avatar films in the future.
shopDisney also has a collection of adaptive swimwear, specially designed for comfort and ease of use. The Star Wars Adaptive Swim Trunks for Kids feature ring snaps on the side panels to provide a full opening and a back pocket with a metal grommet vent hole.
And the Ariel Adaptive Swim Set is made with self-stick fabric closures. Look out for even more adaptive styles coming soon!

Jack Skellington Actor Speaks out about Possible Sequel to Nightmare Before Christmas
For years, people have speculated about a sequel that would return fans to the world created in ‘A Nightmare Before Christmas’, and now actor Chris Sarandon is opening up about rumors of a sequel as well.
Sarandon was a guest on a podcast, The Art of Kindness with Robert Peterpaul, when the host asked about a follow-up film. Sarandon said that while he doesn’t have the power to get it done, he’s heard rumors just like everyone else.
“Essentially, I have nothing to do with it,” Sarandon said. “I can’t pick up the phone and call Tim Burton and say, ‘OK let’s go! Let’s do Nightmare Before Christmas 2!’ I’m the hired gun in this equation. And whether it would be me in a sequel or not… I don’t know. At the same time I respect Tim’s thoughts. I mean this happened with The Princess Bride where there was a great demand for a sequel… I don’t know how Tim feels. I’ve heard various things, but they could be true or not.”
The Nightmare Before Christmas, released in 1993, was a critical and commercial success. It received positive reviews from critics and audiences, and has since become a cult classic. The film has a loyal fan base and has had a lasting impact on popular culture. It has inspired merchandise, a video game, and a stage musical, among other things. The film has also been re-released in theaters multiple times, and has been released on various home video formats. The film’s success has made it one of the most recognizable and popular stop-motion animated films of all time. The film grossed over $50 million at the box office, which is small by today’s standards.
Do we need another Nightmare Before Christmas film? Let us know in a comment. If Hocus Pocus 2 is any indication, we might see a follow-up Nightmare Before Christmas on Disney+ sooner rather than later.
