The new Roundup Rodeo BBQ restaurant is opening on March 23 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Disney recently shared a full video tour of the restaurant. Take a look!
The new BBQ restaurant is located in Toy Story Land and allows guests to discover what it feels like to be one of Andy’s toys. The restaurant is themed to Woody’s Roundup and features some of our favorite Toy Story characters including larger-than-life displays of Bo Peep, Jessie, and more.
Reservations are open now for Roundup Rodeo BBQ! Get them ASAP though because they fill up quick.

Imagineer Rolly Crump, who helped create Disneyland and Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, has passed away
Rolly Crump, the legendary Disney Imagineer who was instrumental in the creation of Disneyland in California and the initial design of Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida, has passed away at the age of 93.
In his early Imagineering work, Crump worked on many of the Disney attractions featured at the New York World’s Fair, including the Tower of the Four Winds marquee for It’s A Small World. When It’s A Small World was later incorporated at Disneyland, Crump designed the attraction’s famous animated clock.
He first started working for The Walt Disney Studios in 1952 as an animator on projects that included Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, and Sleeping Beauty. Crump would ultimately switch gears from animator to Imagineer, first with WED Enterprises (the predecessor to Disney Imagineering) and later with Disney Imagineering. Additional Imagineer work included contributions to EPCOT center’s Land Pavillion and Wonders of Life pavilions, as well as master planning an expansion of Disneyland in 1983. In 1992, Crump was tasked with the redesign and refurbishment of The Land and Innoventions pavilions at Epcot.
Crump’s work outside of Disney included consulting on the construction of Knott’s Berry Farm in California, Busch Gardens in Florida and California, and Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus World in Florida.

New Flintstones Animated Series Sequel Coming to Fox. The project scored a pilot presentation, two years after it emerged that it was first in the works at Fox, with Elizabeth Banks as the grown-up daughter of Fred Flintstone. “Bedrock” will be set 20 years after the Flinstone original animated Tv show.
Elizabeth Banks, who has been shepherding the project as exec producer, will lead the voice cast of the series, starring as Pebbles, the adult daughter of Fred and Wilma.
Deadline has reported that “a primetime animated adult comedy series continuing the story of the Stone Age family, Bedrock catches up with the Flintstone family two decades later, with Fred on the brink of retirement and 20-something Pebbles embarking on her own career. As the Stone Age gives way to a shiny and enlightened new Bronze Age, the residents of Bedrock will find this evolution harder than a swing from Bamm-Bamm’s club.
The cast also includes Stephen Root as Fred; Amy Sedaris as Wilma; Nicole Byer as Betty; Joe Lo Truglio as Barney; Manny Jacinto as Bamm-Bamm.”

Disney’s Lake Nona campus set to achieve critical approval
Disney’s expansive Lake Nona campus project is moving toward a major milestone, as the project was submitted for approval by the Orlando Development Review Committee on March 9.
This committee meeting is a major milestone for the project, as the committee vote, if successful, will approve the parcel master plan (as of the time of this writing, the minutes from the meeting were not yet available for review). Orlando Business Journal reports Tavistock Development Co., who sold the land to the Walt Disney Corporation, is listed on the committee agenda as the the applicant.
The committee agenda notes the proposed complex consists of eight (8) office/flex space buildings, totaling 1.8 million square feet and three (3) parking garages. Next steps after approval of the master plan include receiving approval for an official site plan, obtaining building permits, and then groundbreaking on the project.
As these important milestones continue to move forward, we will obtain a much clearer picture of both the project timeline and overall cost. The Lake Nona campus, which will be located in the Lake Nona section of Orlando (just under 20 miles east of Walt Disney World resort), is slated to bring approximately 2,000 Disney jobs from California to Florida once complete.

Energy Bytes in Disney’s Magic Kingdom is the Brand New Food Stand Located in Tomorrowland. Disney’s newest coaster is set to open on April 4th, 2023 and the Magic Kingdom is gearing up with a new food stand that will be at the entrance to the newest attraction.
As we are gearing up for TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise to blast off in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park in just a few short weeks, I’ve also got some exciting foodie news for you. Tomorrowland will soon be home to another new foodie spot – Energy Bytes!
This new kiosk will be serving up some tasty eats and sips for you to grab, drawing inspiration from the futuristic environment around you. Whether you’re looking for some breakfast bites, savory snacks, sweet treats, or refreshing beverages, this new spot will soon become a go-to pitstop as you venture into the world of Tomorrowland.
If you’re kicking off your morning in Magic Kingdom Park, Energy Bytes has some breakfast delights for you. For those wanting a sweet start to the day, the tasty Chocolate Cake Doughnut Holes topped with mocha sauce are a perfect option. With each “byte” you’ll be begging for more! The coffee lovers out there will also have a new caffeinated beverage to try – Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee topped with a yummy mocha sauce. This iced sip is the perfect combination of that classic coffee flavor with a touch of sweetness. These will surely be on my list to start my Magic Kingdom morning!
Now onto the savory options. If you love buffalo chicken and dumplings, you’re in luck because Energy Bytes is combining both of these classics into one delicious concoction – Digital Dumplings – Buffalo Chicken. Yes, you heard that right. This bite perfectly combines chicken dumplings, blue cheese powder, and cayenne pepper broth.
And these aren’t the only dumplings coming to Tomorrowland. There is another dish soon to be served up. The Digital Dumplings – Beef & Broccoli is out of this world as it transforms this iconic dish into dumpling form with beef dumplings, broccoli pesto, and ginger-soy broth. How delicious! I don’t know about you, but these snacks are already making me hungry.
