Disney Cruise Line Moves Up Launch Timeline for New Ships
Disney Cruise Line is speeding ahead with its fleet expansion, moving two future ship launches earlier than originally planned. The cruise line still expects Disney Believe to debut in late 2027, while three additional ships are now scheduled to set sail during a very busy 2029.

Disney Believe will become the fourth Wish-class ship, following Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. Disney plans to share more details about the ship in October 2026. A fifth Wish-class vessel operated by Oriental Land Company is also scheduled to launch from Japan in 2029.
Disney is also developing three smaller ships that will fall somewhere between the Magic-class and Dream-class vessels in size. The first remains scheduled for 2029, while the second has been moved forward from 2030 to late 2029. That means Disney Cruise Line is now planning to launch three ships in 2029, including the Oriental Land Company vessel.

The final ship in the expansion has also been moved forward, shifting from 2031 to 2030. Barring additional schedule changes, Disney Cruise Line expects to have all 13 ships sailing by the end of 2030. Names and itineraries for the smaller ships have not yet been announced.
