Disney World Changes Bus Routes for Magic Kingdom Area Resorts Following New Roadway Opening

Guests staying at several Magic Kingdom area resorts may notice some changes the next time they hop on a Disney bus. Walt Disney World has adjusted bus service following recent roadway changes around Magic Kingdom, including the permanent closure of the intersection at Seven Seas Drive and Floridian Way and the opening of the new Floridian Way.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, buses for Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort are now combined, with both resorts using the same pickup location. The bus stops at the Contemporary first before continuing to the Polynesian. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge are also sharing bus service, while Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa now has its own dedicated bus.

The pairings are a change from the previous setup, when the Grand Floridian and Polynesian would often share service and the Contemporary would commonly be paired with Wilderness Lodge. According to Guest Relations Cast Members, the new combinations are designed to work more efficiently with the updated roadway system, and the same bus arrangements are being used across all four Walt Disney World theme parks.
