D23: The Official Disney Fan Club is hosting the sold-out D23 Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse event being held today and tomorrow at the convention center at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Presentations made during the event will include appearances by the Chairman of Disney Parks, Bob Chapek, as well as by Imagineers Charita Carter and Kevin Rafferty.
In addition to the presentations, there will also be a pop-up shop by Mickey’s of Glendale where attendees can shop for souvenirs and Mickey-inspired items. Perhaps one of the most exciting parts of the two-day event is a sneak peek at the Walt Disney Archives Exhibit called “Mickey’s Magical Kingdoms.”
The exhibit will include different historic and iconic photos of Mickey from days gone by. It will also include photos of Walt Disney and Roy Disney, and there will be different items that commemorate Mickey’s history and celebrate all he has contributed over the last 90 years.
The sneak peek of the Walt Disney Archives Exhibit also includes a variety of Mickey ears and even a plush train engineer Mickey!
All the items in the preview of the “Mickey’s Magical Kingdoms” exhibit work together to tell the story of the beloved mouse who “started it all.”
“Mickey’s Magical Kingdoms” promises to be an awe-inspiring exhibit. Where would we be without Mickey Mouse? The world just wouldn’t be the same!
