Coral Reef

Coral Reef

Coral Reef is another table service location in EPCOT.  This EPCOT restaurant is located in Future World at the Living Seas Pavilion.  It’s found not far from the Seas with Nemo and Friends ride, bearing around the building to the right.

The Coral Reef is open for lunch and dinner.  Reservations are practically a must and should be made as close to your 180 day mark as possible.   Coral Reef accepts the Disney Dining Plan and is one table service credit per member of your party.  Coral Reef is a special experience restaurant where the dining room has a private view of the fish tank on display at the Seas Pavillion.  Every seat has views of the 8 foot high aquarium tank as the dining room is set up in three tiers. You will find such items as Mahi Mahi, steak, salmon, lobster soup, as well as chicken selections.  You can find their full menu HERE.

Coral Reef is themed as if you are going “under the sea”.  While their menu will not appear to be extensive, they offer many specials based on what is in season.  If you have taken the Living with the Land ride,  you saw a display on Fish Farming.  Many of those fish find their way onto Coral Reef’s menu.   You will be given an identification card to try and identify some of the fish in the tank while you pass the time.  The restaurant is family friendly, although the kids menu is not overly plentiful.  The view will more than keep your family entertained.  This might be a great location for couples, or families with older children.
Overall, we give Coral Reef a “B”.

  1. I enjoyed the coral reef with 2 other adults and a 3.5 yr old. It was nice, but we did sit directly next to an aquarium so that added to the fun. I do think that had we sat away from it, we would have had a better view though. I was too focused on choosing an appetizer and failed to choose my entree by the time the server came, so ordered a steak just so I didnt have to say I wasnt ready. It was fine, but Im not even that big of a red meat eater so not sure why that came out of my mouth. Anyhow, the seafood dishes they ordered were very good.

  2. Unless you get a table next to the tank I don’t think it is a great meal. My food was very tasty even though the potions were tiny. My desert was cute but tasted like a cardboard box. There was no way to walk down and look at the tank while we waited on our food because all the tables were full. With all the different options in Epcot this would be my last choice.

  3. We loved the Coral Reef. The atmosphere is great with the large aquarium and the food was the best. We were there during Mardi Gras 2011. My husband had steak which he said was the best of anywhere we ate the whole trip. I had seafood which was fresh and delicious.

  4. the coral reef was awesome because of the big tank. i got to sit right next to it and it was breathtaking. the food was not that awesome though. the lobster bisque or some kind of lobster sauce was bad and we had to pay for something we couldnt eat. i would go there again but i would order some thing else.

  5. We love the Coral Reef. Even if you sit up on the top level, you can still see the tank very, very well. My daughter loves to watch for the sea turtle to go by. The food is a.maz.ing. We all love the lobster bisque. There is something for everyone on the menu. The last time we were there was for my daughter and FIL’s birthdays in 3/2010. We were so relaxed and full when our meal was over. It was a wonderful experience. I did ask about the special message in the tank and they had discontinued it at that time. We did order a special cake though. Just call Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 827-2253 and give them 48 hours advanced notice. That was the best birthday cake ever!
