The World Celebration Reflecting Pool is Back On at EPCOT
If you’ve taken a stroll around World Celebration at EPCOT recently, you might have noticed a refreshing sight — the beloved World Celebration reflecting pool is fully refilled and looking good as new!
Located right outside the Imagination! pavilion along the edge of World Nature, the scenic water feature had been briefly drained for routine maintenance.
During the short refurbishment, Disney crews worked to give the basin a complete tune-up. The surface received a fresh coat of paint, and all of the signature dark river rocks were cleaned and carefully arranged across the bottom before water was pumped back in.
Before repainting the basin, Disney teams gathered all the coins tossed into the water by hopeful guests making wishes.
Those tossed coins do a lot of good: Disney periodically collects change from fountains and water features across Walt Disney World and donates 100% of the funds to charitable organizations like Make-A-Wish and Give Kids The World Village.
Note: The iconic entrance fountain at EPCOT’s main gate was also briefly turned off recently, likely receiving a similar coin collection and routine sprucing up.
With the reflecting pool back up and running, the pathways around Imagination! and World Nature are looking picture-perfect once again.
