The Walt Disney World Resort theme parks have reopened and are implementing social distancing measures throughout their parks. This includes all rides and attractions as well. Let’s talk about the measures in place for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Similar to other rides at Disney World, the queue for Rise of the Resistance now has markers and plexiglass to help guests stay physically distanced from others.
Once you get through the initial queue, you’ll find that all pre-show experiences have been preserved, with parties now being asked to stand on numbered markers.
Cast members throughout the ride are wearing face masks as well as face shields.
After an additional wait, guests will be moved to interrogation rooms, and will then be able to board their own prison transport vehicles, which will now seat one party each (even if you are riding alone!). Like with other attractions, masks must remain on for the entirety of the ride.
Make sure you sanitize once you get off the ride! You’ll find plenty of sanitizing stations around the park, especially at the exits for rides.
Guests wanting to ride Rise of the Resistance will still need to reserve a Boarding Pass for the ride. Disney is now offering multiple times for guests to try to reserve a pass. You can find more information here: Updated Star Wars Rise of the Resistance Virtual Queue info
