I had the pleasure of dining at this delicious new restaurant located at Caribbean Beach Resort. I was dining with close friends and we were excited to be here so soon after its opening!  As you walk in the door the fresh island theme decor greets you with a mix of tropical colors and relaxing neutrals.

We made our way through the dining room, to our table, an enjoyed the casual atmosphere with a wonderful scent of specialty dishes in the air. My mouth began to water in anticipation of what was to come.

Large windows let in plenty of natural light and a view of Barefoot Bay.

The ceilings are high. A great feeling of space. Even with filled tables during dinner, the dining room felt airy and open. Exposed beams are decorated with under the sea kelp and tropical vines.

Our table was comfortable and perfect for conversation. Three were in our dinner party and there was plenty of seating space for more.  Some tables near us included children. The families were accommodated easily. The seat cushions were generous in our booth. Kids can get antsy during a meal and there is space for this. A parents dream!

Enough about the decor lets get to the real reason we are here- THE FOOD!

As I mentioned, walking through the door made my mouth water. While we looked over the menu our attentive server made a quick suggestion of some appetizers. He also described some fun drinks which we quickly agreed to taste!

Okay, I have to stop for just a moment and comment on the artwork on the menu. How fun is this watercolor image of Sebastian!

Our drink order was as colorful as the Sebastian mural on the dining room wall.  More on that a bit later!

A Caribbean Smuggler, Caribbean Mai-Tai and a Jamaican Old Fashioned were our selections and they were delicious. Additional cocktails, selections of beer, hard cider sparkling water, non-alcoholic specialty drinks, and the usual selection of family-friendly beverages are also available.

Appetizers arrived and wow. Flavors and presentation were both amazing. Caribbean pull-apart bread with three toppings, guava butter, fresh mango chutney, and Jamaica Jerk oil, did not last long at the table.

Marauders Snack had three toppings as well, and disappeared just as quick. Tostones, Arepas, and house-made crackers topped with black bean hummus, guacamole, and Pico de Gallo – all delicious!

Being in the mood for Caribbean food this menu had me wanting to try every entree offered! Here are three we selected from the varied menu. Something for everyone, meat, seafood, fish, and meatless dishes are all offered.

Caribbean Goat Curry paired with cilantro rice and crispy yuka amazing! Don’t let the goat scare you away from this dish. The meat was tender and nothing was left on the plate.

For a more traditional selection, Slow-Cooked Pork Shoulder served “taco” style, with black beans and cilantro rice is your pick

Being a beef lover, the Grilled Skirt Steak and crispy yuka did not disappoint!

Of note, as we finished our entrees, the water glasses caught my eye. Our server explained they are repurposed wine bottles. (notice the dimple in the base). I love this eco-friendly detail.

Even with full bellies, we made room for dessert. There is always room for dessert.

Warm Chocolate Pudding a dark chocolate cake topped with a cocoa-nibs tuile and caramel crispies.

Message In A Bottle coconut-rice pannacotta, with pineapple and mango-lime sorbet beautifully topped colored white chocolate.

Mile Marker Zero iced key lime pops with sea salt and a tropical fruit sauce.

Joffrey’s Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is available as a fitting finish to this wonderful meal.
