Spider-Verse Still Edging out Pixar’s Elemental at Weekend Box Office
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verseheld on to it’s top spot at the weekend box office for four consecutive weeks slightly edging out the resilient surge from Pixar’s Elemental. The animated Pixar film is in its second week of release and earned $18.3 million compare to Spider-Verse’s $19.4 million. While Elemental’s weekend box office performance was lackluster, the film showed well in its second weekend, benefiting from great word of mouth reviews. Elemental experienced a 38% ease from its first week of release, encouraging many that it could have longevity as we approach the holiday weekend.
Elemental is sitting at about 65 million gross while Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is fast approaching 320 million ($226 million domestic). Elemental has yet to open in all markets globally and is performing well in Asia, specifically Korea. Warner Bros/DC’s The Flash, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and Jennifer Lawrence led No Hard Feelings rounded out the box office top 5 this weekend.
The Flash had a 73% drop off from it’s opening weekend take with 15.3 million at the weekend box office. The Flash has brought in 87.6 domestically on a 200 million dollar production budget. The Flash has earned 210 million globally, making this the latest headache for the beleaguered DC/ Warner Bros studio.
Competition over the holiday weekend is going to be fierce with Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny releasing on June 30, 2023. Let’s see if families are inclined to head out to the box office for the holiday. Let us know your thoughts on any of the films in this article.

Despite being a key figure in one of Disney’s beloved animation franchises, actor Josh Gad has encountered obstacles on his journey with Disney projects. After the cancellation of his Disney+ series “Muppets Live Another Day” even before production began, Gad now reveals that his movie “Shrunk” is also at risk.
In a recent social media post, Gad shared a mock-up poster for “Shrunk,” a sequel to the “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” films, featuring the return of Rick Moranis. Expressing his frustration, Gad acknowledged the numerous false starts and encouraged fans to show their excitement to Disney.

We Spotted Disney Character Palooza at Hollywood Studios. Walt Disney World is filled with secrets, from Hidden Mickey’s to Throwing out the First Pitch at Casey’s Corner. You can stumble upon fun events all the time. Yes, if you search around you can find the times and places where secret things happen, except for one of the best secrets, Character-Palooza at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Last week we got to witness the Character-Palooza at EPCOT and interacted with Big Al, Wendell, Meeko, Penguin, and Stitch, among others. Yesterday we finally got to see the character Palooza in Hollywood Studios.
The characters, including Thumper, Princess Tiana, and Pocahontas, were all meeting in the courtyard at Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Right outside the exit, and close to the Joffrey’s Coffee kiosk.
As we exited the thrilling ride, we were met by Casst Members in blueberry-colored shirts. They would ask guests if they wanted to meet one of the characters and show guests around the corner. With no real line to speak of, the meet and greets were extra specials with how much time the characters would spend with each guest. This all happened later than normal, we got to see these characters from 5:30 PM until at least 6:20 PM.
Thumper was a surprise! We have not met Thumper in the past year. Below – Princess Tiana took some time off from overseeing the construction of the Southern Dome Salt Co. in the Magic Kingdom, to join guests at Hollywood Studios.

Cast of Disney’s Haunted Mansion Movie Spotted at Disneyland
The cast of Disney’s new Haunted Mansion movie were recently spotted at Disneyland! Jamie Lee Curtis, Owen Wilson, and LaKeith Stanfield were at the park to promote the new film.
Jamie Lee Curtis shared photos and videos on Instagram of her hanging out with Wilson and Stanfield on the 21 Royal balcony. She plays Madame Leota in the film. Wilson plays a priest named Kent and Stanfield portrays a failed paranormal expert in the movie.
The three actors also dressed in the costumes for the Haunted Mansion attraction and took photos outside of the ride. Wilson and Stanfield wore the green and purple butler tuxedos while Curtis wore the green and white striped maid uniform.
