Limited Seats Available for The Edison Mixology Sunset Dinner Series in August
The Edison at Disney Springs invites guests to discover another round of its Mixology Sunset Dinner Series, featuring an elevated three-course menu and craft cocktails pairings to be enjoyed with views of Disney Springs’ colorful sunset.
Edison’s team of talented mixologists and chefs have curated a fantastic menu centered around Vermont’s “ultra-premium” rye whiskey, WhistlePig. Dishes and cocktails include notes of sweet fruits, honey, herbs, and spices, complementing the beloved rye and the summer season.
Tickets are going fast with seatings only available for the Aug. 31, 8 p.m. dinner for $90++ per person. Guests are also offered the chance to enhance their experience with a specialty beverage upgrade for an additional price. Guests must be ages 21 and older.

Stephanie Beatriz Hopeful for Encanto Sequel from Disney
Encanto star Stephanie Beatriz recently sat down with The Wrap to promote her Twisted Metal show (Peacock) and brought up the topic of an Encanto Sequel. Beatriz said that she would “love to work with Jared Bush and Byron Howard again.” Currently the duo are working on a sequel to Zootopia, so a potential sequel to Encanto would have to wait until they were done, or be helmed by another director entirely.
Beatriz is a huge Disney fan and says, “I go to the parks a lot and whenever people recognize me they ask about that too. So I know fans of the film are really, really eager to know if it’s gonna get a sequel, I would love to do that. I think there’s a ton of story to be told and there’s so many people that would love to see that…”

Live Action Princess and the Frog Reportedly in the Works
Ahead of the investor call Tuesday, the rumor mill continues to churn out potential projects for Walt Disney Pictures. One such project being tossed around is a live action Princess and the Frog. An upcoming television series produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios named ‘Tiana’ is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2024. ‘Tiana’ is directed by Stella Meghie. The series is a sequel of the 2009 animated Disney film The Princess and the Frog.
“The Princess and the Frog” is a Disney animated musical film released in 2009. Set in 1920s New Orleans, the story revolves around Tiana, a hardworking young woman with dreams of opening her own restaurant. When Prince Naveen, who has been transformed into a frog by a voodoo witch doctor named Dr. Facilier, mistakes Tiana for a princess and kisses her, she too turns into a frog.
Together, they embark on an adventure through the Louisiana bayou to find Mama Odie, a powerful voodoo priestess, who may be able to reverse the curse. Along the way, they encounter various challenges and obstacles, learn valuable life lessons, and discover the true meaning of love and friendship.
The film received critical acclaim for its return to traditional hand-drawn animation and the incorporation of jazz music, adding a unique charm to the story. Haunted Mansion Closed as Disney Begins Hatbox Ghost Installation
Calling all brave souls and thrill-seekers! The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom is currently undergoing a brief refurbishment to ensure a spooktacular experience for all visitors. Fear not, as the chilling adventures will resume on August 10, 2023, just in time for the eagerly anticipated Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Exciting news has emerged amidst the refurbishment – Disney has announced the arrival of the Hatbox Ghost in the Endless Hallway, near the beginning of The Haunted Mansion.
However, there’s a twist! Unlike his Disneyland counterpart, this infamous ghost will be found in a different location, sparking some controversy among fans.
Curiosity abounds as work has commenced in the Endless Hallway. Black curtains have been draped around a mysterious corner at the hallway’s end, and the iconic “Donald Duck chair” has been removed, leaving guests eager to uncover the secrets that lie beyond.
During this short refurbishment period, progress on the Hatbox Ghost’s installation will continue. However, it’s worth noting that he’s not expected to make his haunting debut by August 10. Fear not, though, for his arrival will add a new layer of mystique and excitement to the chilling mansion.
In addition to the ghostly enhancements, the refurbishment is an opportune time for general maintenance to ensure that the Haunted Mansion continues to offer spine-chilling fun in the years to come.

Disney’s Live-Action Tangled Movie is Reportedly in the Works
The internet rumor mill is alive and well, as more reported live-action films are circulating around the Disney blogosphere. Earlier this weekend we discussed the cancellation of the Hunchback Live-Action film, that was never actually a film, and now we’re seeing rumor of an upcoming Tangled Live-Action project.
So let’s review, Disney is currently filming Lilo and Stitch, which has currently shut down production due to the SAG/AFTRA strike. It is also in production for a live-action Moana starring Duane Johnson reprising his role as Maui set to hit theaters in 2025. Disney also plans to release Snow White with Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler.
