Fear not, I am Groot fans, your between-season wait will soon be over. Disney+ has announced the second season of I am Groot will begin streaming on Sept 6th.

Season one premiered in August of 2022, and is described by Disney+ as “a collection of five original shorts starring Baby Groot, everyone’s favorite little tree, and features several new and unusual characters.” The series became a hit for Disney+, scoring an 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a 74% audience score.

Vin Diesel, who is the voice of Groot in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise, voices Baby Groot. The writer/director is Kirsten Lepore, and the executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, and James Gunn.

Prices Increase for Internet Packages Across Disney Cruise Line Fleet

The internet packages across Disney Cruise Line’s fleet have received a price increase. The time-based onboard internet packages have been updated.

Last summer Disney Cruise Line switched from a data-usage pricing structure to a day-based pricing structure for the internet packages. The day-based pricing is not going anywhere but the pricing has increased.

Stay Connected Package
- $16/day when purchased for the full voyage
- $18/day when purchased for 24 hours
Basic Surf Package
- $24/day when purchased for the full voyage
- $28/day when purchased for 24 hours
Premium Surf Package
- $34/day when purchased for the full voyage
- $42/day when purchased for 24 hours

This pricing applies to the Disney Wish, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Magic. At this time, the time-based internet packages are not available onboard the Disney Wonder. The ship will transition to these Internet packages in the near future.

As a reminder, Guests can purchase Internet for 24 hour periods, or per voyage. Guests receive a 20% discount on voyage pricing vs 24-hour pricing, and adding additional devices to an Internet package will receive a 20% discount. If guests purchase a voyage plan mid-voyage, they will only be charged for the remaining days. Please note: “Days remaining” change at midnight, so purchasing at 11:55 pm will still charge guests for the full day.

Disney’s “Cinderella” tickets are now on sale at El Capitan Theatre including a special Ice Cream Social event before fan event screening. Before each screening, see the Disney classic short “Trailer Horn,” as well as an appearance by Cinderella live on stage!

Guests are invited to bring their autograph book and camera to make their own Ghirardelli Magical Sundaes with an appearance by Cinderella. Tickets are limited to select shows. Advance reservations are required by calling 1-800 DISNEY6 (347-6396).

The fan event screening will take place at 7:00 pm on Friday, August 18. Tickets are $50 and include a reserved seat, Cinderella Popcorn Bucket with popcorn, beverage, and event credential.

Daily showtimes for “Cinderella” from August 18 through August 24 are 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, 4:00 pm, and 7:00 pm.

There’s a new ice cream treat at Magic Kingdom! The Rapunzel Sundae is not only tasty, it’s super cute too! While this treat has been available for a little while, we finally made it to the park to try it.

The Rapunzel Sundae is shortcake with DOLE Whip lemon and wild berry soft-serve topped with berry compote, sugar flowers, and whipped cream. You’ll find it at Storybook Treats in Fantasyland for $7.79.

The lemon and berry DOLE whip flavors are the perfect combo of tart and sweet. The berry compote is juicy and sweet and the shortcake adds a nice texture.

Starting next week Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will transform into Minnie’s Seasonal Halloween Dine. From August 11 to November 4, 2023, guests can enjoy a tasty meal along with seasonal décor and costumes.

Visit Minnie’s favorite happy haunt for a spooktacular Halloween feast that’s frightfully delightful. During lunch and dinner guests be able to meet, interact with, and take photos with Minnie and her friends. They’ll all be in their Halloween costumes too!

Typically, there are photo ops and fun seasonal backgrounds for guests to enjoy. In the past guests also got to take home signed themed post cards.
