World Jumping Marvel Ride Announced for Disney California Adventure

Avengers Assemble! Since last year’s announcement of a “King Thanos” attraction at Disney’s California Adventure we have been eagerly awaiting the next attraction for the Avengers Campus. Today at Destination D23, we got a look at what that attraction will look like and a glimpse of a the revolutionary “world jumping vehicle” that will reset the multiverse and bring all new adventure for Marvel fans worldwide.

At Disney California Adventure Park, an exciting addition is on the horizon for the next attraction in Avengers Campus, aimed at facilitating the transportation of Super Heroes into the Multiverse.

Brent Strong, who serves as the executive creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, is offering an exclusive glimpse into the ride vehicle’s design. This cutting-edge design seamlessly blends elements inspired by Tony Stark’s time-suits, the advanced Xandarian jump points, and the state-of-the-art Wakandan technology. Stay tuned for additional information on this advanced vehicle, set to embark on journeys to uncharted realms, which will be revealed in the near future!

Avengers Campus, located at Disney California Adventure Park, is a thrilling and immersive land dedicated to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s iconic Super Heroes. This dynamic and interactive experience invites visitors to step into the world of the Avengers, where they can embark on heroic adventures, meet their favorite Marvel characters, and become part of the action.

The campus features several attractions, including the popular “Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure,” where guests use web-slinging technology to help Spider-Man catch rogue Spider-Bots. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the live-action “Avengers: Campus Assembly” show, which brings together beloved characters like Iron Man, Black Widow, and Black Panther for thrilling performances.

One of the standout features of Avengers Campus is the Pym Test Kitchen, a dining establishment that offers unique and creatively themed menu items, thanks to the whimsical experiments of Ant-Man and The Wasp.

Guests can savor inventive dishes and drinks, including shrunken chicken sandwiches and oversized pretzels, all served in a fun and playful atmosphere. New nightime spectacular Luminous The Symphony of Us will debut in December at EPCOT

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the new nighttime spectacular that will be the permanent replacement for the recently-retired Harmonious. We learned this morning at Destination D23 that the new show will be called Luminous The Symphony of Us, and will debut on December 5.

The new show will reportedly feature fireworks, fountains, lasers, lighting effects and some great Disney music.

While no additional details were announced, I love a good Disney fireworks show and cannot wait to check this new one out!

Moana will greet guests at EPCOT’s Journey of Water Inspired by Moana

This morning during Destination D23, we learned Journey of Water Inspired by Moana will officially open on October 16. We also learned that Moana will be greeting guests at a permanent meet-and-greet location that will be located at the attraction!

While it makes sense for Moana to meet guests at an attraction that bears her name, this is the first indication Disney has given of a Moana meet and greet. The Meet and Greet should begin when the attraction opens next month. Moana will be a GREAT addition to this attraction, and we are super pumped to meet her when the attraction opens next month.

Ahsoka coming to Star Tours starting Spring 2024

She’s no Jedi, but she is coming to Star Tours in 2024. We’re talking about Ahsoka Tano, former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker and one of the best characters from the Star Wars universe. We are diehard Star Wars fans, and we grew up loving the legendary park attraction Star Tours. So imagine our excitement to hear that our favorite Jedi will be joining the storytelling of this timeless classic in the near future.

Ahsoka will become part of our popular Star Tours attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida, Disneyland Park in California and Disneyland Paris – beginning next spring. The original series Star Wars: Ahsoka is currently streaming exclusively on Disney+ and as many of you know, Ahsoka recently arrived in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland.

Ahsoka Tano is a prominent character in the Star Wars universe, gaining widespread recognition and love for her appearances in both the animated series and live-action shows. She made her debut in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” where she was introduced as Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan, assigned to him by Jedi Master Yoda.

Ahsoka is characterized by her strong-willed and independent nature, which often contrasts with Anakin’s impulsive tendencies. Throughout her journey in “The Clone Wars,” Ahsoka evolves from a young and inexperienced Jedi to a skilled warrior and wise leader, earning the respect of her peers and fans alike.

Ahsoka’s story continues in “Star Wars Rebels,” set years after the fall of the Jedi Order and the rise of the Galactic Empire. Journey of Water, Inspired By Moana Opening at EPCOT — Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana will welcome adventurers in EPCOT soon. Guests can explore a serene walking trail that entertains, inspires and educates as they engage with water in magical ways like Moana did with the ocean. We now have an official opening date for Journey of Water Inspired by Moana

Journey of Water Inspired by Moana is complete, with cast member previews, preview for Club 33 members, and previews for Annual Passholders announced. This morning at Destination D23, we learned of the official opening date for the attraction.

Journey of Water Inspired by Moana will officially open to the public on October 16, 2023. The attraction is an immersive, walk-through experience that is both engaging and visually stunning that invites guests to play with water as it travels from the sky to the oceans and back again.

New Pirates of the Caribbean Themed Tavern Coming to Magic Kingdom

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a Pirates life for me! Disney announced during it Destination D23 Expo that Pirates fans can check out a brand new experience in Adventureland. Chris Beatty joined Josh D’Amaro onstage to discuss an exciting addition to Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

A new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge is coming to Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park in Florida. This first-of-its-kind experience will extend the story of Pirates of the Caribbean. Imagineers are in the design process now and more details are coming in the future.

Re-imagining of Test Track was announced this morning at Destination D23

Disney announced a complete re-imagining of fan-favorite Test Track this morning during Destination D23.

Disney will continue to partner with Cheverolet on the attraction, with the re-imagining utilizing the original World of Motion attraction as inspiration.

No time frame was announced for the latest overhaul of the ride. My family are HUGE Test Track fans, so while we will be bummed to miss out on the ride while it is closed for the re-theming, we are excited to see what the updated attraction brings!

During the Destination D23 event this morning, Disney announced possible additions and expansions to Disney’s Animal Kingdom may include Encanto and Indiana Jones themed experiences.

While Disney previously announced a possible Zootopia expansion for the park, it appears Judy Hopps and friends have been limited to a new show coming to the Tree of Life. The D23 announcements included a discussion about how Encanto and Indiana Jones are both heavily in discussion for expansions at the park. Disney is committed to expanding the Animal Kingdom story, and it appears these franchises will be at the heart of future Animal Kingdom expansions.

Hatbox Ghost coming to Haunted Mansion late November

Another amazing happy haunt is ready to materialize. We absolutely love the Haunted Mansion and have been waiting since we learned that the Hatbox Ghost would be coming to the Magic Kingdom last fall at D23 Expo. Today we got exciting news that the Hatbox Ghost will be arriving at the mansion very soon.

Disney Imagineer Daniel Joseph is joined Josh D’Amaro on stage for the exciting announcement and sharing more about Hatbox Ghost – one of our most well-known grim grinning ghosts. The Hatbox Ghost will be materializing in the Haunted Mansion as you pass the attraction’s Endless Hallway in late November!

D23 Exclusive Country Bear Jamboree to get exciting update in 2024

Exciting news for a beloved classic at the Magic Kingdom was announced today, with the Country Bear Jamboree receiving new songs and an entirely new show in 2024. This timeless classic has enchanted Disney guests since the park opened and it will continue to inspire generation of fans that come to Frontierland.

Onstage alongside Josh, Disney Imagineer Chris Beatty shared exciting news about the upcoming show. He revealed that when the performance premieres, the beloved bears will put their unique spin on cherished Disney tunes, exploring various country music genres. The Imagineers are crafting this fresh experience as a tribute to the timeless musical revues of Nashville, collaborating closely with local musicians to capture the authentic country sound.

We were treated to an inside look at the updated musical score by stepping inside the studio to an updated “Bear Necessities”.

Rest assured, The Country Bear Jamboree will maintain its beloved and lighthearted atmosphere, delighting fans with the same iconic characters, including the endearing Trixie, Big Al, and others.
