The announcement came during Destination D23 this morning, which is being held at the Walt Disney World resort. While Disney previously teased a larger-scale Zootopia expansion at the park, today they announced an immersive Zootopia-themed show is in the works.
The show will be housed in the Tree of Life, which means it would replace It’s Tough To Be a Bug, a 3D movie and multimedia show stars Flik and Hopper from the Disney and Pixar film A Bug’s Life.
We are huge Zootopia fans and cannot wait to check out this new show.

Halloween Horror Nights has kicked off at Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal Studios Hollywood plunged into the heart of darkness on September 8, 2023, ushering in the spine-tingling grand opening of Halloween Horror Nights. Eight horrifying haunted houses, three eerie scare zones, two electrifying live experiences, and the ever-popular Terror Tram await guests who are brave enough to enter the fog.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood runs on September 8-10, 14-17, 21-24, 27-30; October 1, 4-8, 11-15, 18-22, 25-29, and 31, 2023.

The Last of Us”: Walk alongside Joel and Ellie as you battle Clickers, Hunters, and other nightmares.

“The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will also remain open during Halloween Horror Nights, providing access to “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™” and “Flight of the Hippogriff.™” Encounter Death Eaters™ wandering through Hogsmeade village in search of those who dare to support the Dark Lord’s cause.

Adventureland Treehouse to Reopen Fall 2023 at Disneyland Park
Adventureland Treehouse is opening this fall at Disneyland! Formerly Tarzan’s Treehouse, the reimagined attraction has been closed for quite some time. Now, guests will get to experience it once again, this time with a new theme.
Opening this fall, the Adventureland Treehouse inspired by Walt Disney’s Swiss Family Robinson will invite guests to journey up wood rope stairways and traverse the branches of the giant tree to explore fascinating rooms representing members of a family from a new story.
Capturing the spirit of the original treehouse that Walt Disney and his Imagineers built in 1962, explorers roaming among the Adventureland Treehouse will encounter the mother’s music den, the father’s art studio, the young sons’ nature room and the teenage daughter’s astronomer’s loft, with most items crafted from found objects and natural resources gathered during the family’s adventures.
The treehouse originally opened in 1962 as the Swiss Family Treehouse. It closed in 1999 and reopened that same year as Tarzan’s Treehouse. It then closed suddenly in 2021 and Disney announced in 2022 that it would be reimagined once again. The new attraction will have an original story about a family living in the treehouse on Jungle River. This new concept will look more like the original 1962 Swiss Family Treehouse.

New Nighttime Show The Heartbeat of New Orleans A Living Mural Coming to Disneyland
A new nighttime show is coming to Disneyland this fall. The Heartbeat of New Orleans – A Living Mural is coming to the Rivers of America starting September 29.
A new limited-time nighttime entertainment offering “The Heartbeat of New Orleans – A Living Mural” will enchant guests at Disneyland Park. Set to a dynamic jazz score, projections on the Rivers of America will tell a short, whimsical tale of a mischievous little frog from the bayou that leaps into the lively heartbeat of New Orleans when he is lured by the jazzy sounds he hears in the distance.
This unique art installation will animate original artwork by Disney Live Entertainment graphic designer Marcella “Marci” Swett, best known for her chalk art at Downtown Disney District during Celebrate Soulfully. “The Heartbeat of New Orleans – A Living Mural” and Queenie and the Jambalaya Jazz Band will enhance the atmosphere on the Rivers of America on select evenings this fall, and will run nightly during the holiday season.

Take a first look at the Walt Disney Company Store Merchandise available at Destination D23! We found three different collections at this location: Disney100, The Walt Disney Company and D23 that is actually 23% off! We love a good deal, specially when it comes to Disney merch, so take a look at the magical products available at this event:
In the D23 collection we found a beautiful Loungefly backpack with an all over pattern of Disney icons like a dole whip, sorcerer hat, tea cup, the Pixar ball and more in a white pencil sketch style.
There is also a must have spirit jersey with gold glitter all over, the D23 logo on the front and “Gold Member” text across the back! Other products include t-shirts, a hoodie, baseball hat, tumbler and even a collectible pin.

Annual Passholders looking to get an early look at Journey of Water Inspired by Moana will have one less AP Preview day to choose from
Journey of Water Inspired by Moana will be opening soon at EPCOT, with AP previews recently announced. The walk-through attraction is completed, and previews for cast members and D23 members were already underway at the time the AP Previews were added. One of those preview days is already booked up!
Details on the Passholder Preview for Journey of Water Inspired by Moana: Passholder previews will take place at EPCOT from park open to park close on the following dates:
September 24 to September 29, 2023
October 1 to October 4, 2023
EPCOT Reservation Required To participate in this preview experience, Passholders must have a theme park reservation for EPCOT on the day of the preview. Please note that:
If your theme park reservation is for a different theme park (and not for EPCOT), then you will not be eligible to participate in a preview that day.
If you enter EPCOT without a theme park reservation after 2:00 PM, then you will not be eligible to participate in a preview that day.
Check-In Details To check-in for this preview, please visit the entrance to Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana—located across from Coral Reef Restaurant.

Registration is not required to attend this preview. However, you must have a theme park reservation for EPCOT on the day of the preview.

We are at Destination D23 and got to check out the new Disney Lug Collection inspired in beloved Disney characters, attractions and of course the Disney100 celebration!
Lug has a big variety of products like backpacks, tote bags, pouches, fanny packs and many more. We can’t pick just one, we want them all! Take a look at the different collections that will be released in 2024:
First, we have this Mickey and Minnie inspired collection featuring black and red colors just like our favorite mice! A very classic collection with backpacks, crossbody bags, shoulder bags, travel pouches, laptop cases, tote bags and many more.
We love how classy the full black is, and the subtle red, black and white polka dot patterns for those looking to showcase their love for our favorite fashionista!
Lug is also releasing a collection inspired in the Disney100 celebration! Everything in this collections is either purple or platinum and we love it, you can get clear bags, backpacks, tote bags and many other bag styles that will fit your style.

First Look At The Destination D23 Merchandise At Mickey’s Of Glendale!
We stopped by Mickey’s of Glendale to check out all the new Destination D23 merchandise coming very soon! If you love Walt Disney’s Imagineering, this is the place to go to get all the fun merch that will for sure spark your imagination.
They also have merch inspired by Oswald and The Muppets plus general Destination D23 products to remember this special event for days to come.
This collection will remind you to keep moving forward and open new doors! It features an adorable Loungefly backpack we can’t wait to get with an all over pattern of Sorcerer Mickey! And speaking of Sorcerer Mickey who is the logo of Walt Disney Imagineering, in this collection he features a retro look with softer colors, for example his iconic blue hat is now a lighter shade of blue and honestly, we love it.
Between the selection of products you will find include a Sorcerer Mickey plush and keychain, t-shirts, jackets, hoodies and even travel mugs and tumblers featuring the 70th anniversary logo of WDI! We are taking one of each please!
