Everything We Know About Season 4 of The Mandalorian
Season 4 of The Mandalorian could soon be gearing up to continue the wild ride that kicked off Disney Plus’ Star Wars journey back in 2019. Since then, Lucasfilm has brought us Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and Ahsoka. Despite their success, nothing has hooked fans quite like the adventures of the bounty hunter Din Djarin and his adorable green sidekick Grogu, aka Baby Yoda.
The third season finale left us hanging about what’s next for this duo, giving them a break and allowing for a pregnant pause in programming. Even though the season 3 ending felt kinda final, we’re all eagerly waiting for Din and Grogu to come back for more on Disney Plus. We just don’t have the deets on when exactly that’s happening.
So, what’s the lowdown on The Mandalorian Season 4 before it’s officially announced? Here’s the scoop on what we know so far about a possible release date, the cast, and some wild guesses about what Mando and Grogu might get up to next. Heads up, we’re diving into full spoilers for The Mandalorian Season 3 and Star Wars: Ahsoka.
Entertainment Weekly shared Jon Favreau’s update quoting the writer/director having said, “Season 4, yeah, I’ve written it already.” Despite the fourth season being penned, Executive Producer Rick Famuyiwa told Deadline, “I know that Jon has written the scripts. I know he’s excited about continuing to tell stories in this world, and so when and how that happens, considering everything, we’ll see. It’s certainly coming, I just don’t know exactly when.”
Any plans to shoot a fourth season were scuttled by the recent writers and actors strike, and there has been no update on the production of season 4 at this time. Judging by past production schedules we can expect a long wait for a fourth season, seeing that season three took five months and a lengthy post-production schedule before release. Therefore, it would be reasonable to expect Mando Season 4 no sooner than Spring of 2025.
Another wildcard for season 4 would be actor Pedro Pascal’s busy schedule. With Max’s The Last of Us and rumored casting in The Fantastic Four, Pascal has become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after leading men. Will this busy schedule disrupt plans over at Lucasfilm for a fourth season and potential film projects? We will have to wait and see.
Now that Dave Filoni has been named Lucasfilm’s Chief Creative Officer, will plans for film and television change? With no Star Wars Celebration in 2024 (It will return to Tokyo in 2025), all eyes are on D23 in Anaheim in August of 2024 for potential Star Wars-related news. We expect Katee Sackhoff to reprise her role as Bo-Katan Kryze. We also fully expect the following cast to return in a fourth season:

Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto

Let’s not forget the men behind the mask, Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder as Din Djarin/The Mandalorian (physical performances). Surely everyone’s favorite green Jedi, Grogu aka Baby Yoda will be returning for a fourth season. Filoni and Favreau have previously stated that all these Lucasfilm projects were building an interconnected narrative that will play out in subsequent films and shows. Have you heard the latest ghostly good news? The legendary Hatbox Ghost, a spooktacular figure that dates back to the original concepts for the Haunted Mansion, has finally made his way to the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World!
The Hatbox Ghost was part of the original crew of ghosts when the Haunted Mansion first opened its doors at Disneyland in 1969 before mysteriously vanishing a short time later. Technical issues with the ghost’s head disappearing from his body and appearing in the hatbox made his original stay in the Haunted Mansion short-lived.
Technological advancements over the past five decades have made legendary Imagineer Yale Gracey’s original dream for The Hatbox Ghost a reality. Disney Imagineers have worked their magic to make his head disappear and reappear in his hatbox using some impressive special effects.
The Hatbox Ghost reappeared in Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion in 2015 and now has finally taken up residence in Walt Disney World’s Haunted Mansion. While riding the attraction, you will encounter the Hatbox Ghost to the left of the Endless Hallway, shortly before you encounter Madam Leota and her famous seance.

Two Narrators Drop from Candlelight Processional at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays
EPCOT’s 2023 Candlelight Processional at Walt Disney World experienced two unexpected shifts in the celebrity narrator roster.
During last night’s show, Ann-Margret was unable to make an appearance. Stepping in for her this evening is Ashley Eckstein, a familiar face in the Disney community.
Additionally, there’s been a change in the original schedule for Simu Liu, who was set to narrate from November 30 through December 2. Stepping into his role is Bart Millard, the singer-songwriter from the band MercyMe. These last-minute adjustments add an element of surprise to the enchanting Candlelight Processional experience.
Astro Orbitor in Disneyland Closed for Refurbishment Until Winter 2024
The Astro Orbitor attraction at Disneyland is closed until 2024 for refurbishment. Construction walls have been put up around the ride in Tomorrowland.
The Astro Orbitor allows guests to pilot their own rocket ship high in the sky! Hold on tight as your rocket levitates into the air and revolves around a galaxy of planets—inspired by centuries-old astronomical designs—as the sights and sounds of Tomorrowland whizz by below.
The attraction is located at the entrance to Tomorrowland in Disneyland. Blue construction walls now surround the base of the ride. A sign on the wall reads:
“Departing flights will resume in winter 2024. Please enjoy our other Tomorrowland attractions”
We assume “winter 2024” means January-March of 2024, not as late as December of next year.

First Look at Cast Member Costumes in Zootopia for Shanghai Disneyland
The new Zootopia themed land is opening in Shanghai Disneyland in just a few weeks! Disney recently shared a first look at the Cast Member costumes that will be worn in the new area.
Cast members working at Zootopia were recently invited to a cast-exclusive fashion show for the big reveal. Over 200 cast gathered in the land not only for a first look, but also to receive exclusive details from the Costume Development team on everything they will be wearing when the land opens on Dec. 20.
Costumes Made to be Versatile Versatility was key when it came to designing these costumes! While boarding Zootopia: Hot Pursuit and throughout the merchandise locations, you’ll notice most are sporting a Gazelle-themed shirt to celebrate the city’s annual Zootopia Day Concert. This is not just any shirt, it’s one of the more complicated designs created by Shanghai Disney Resort! This handmade silk screen print requires exact precision and 22 layers of ink pressing. The shirt also features “Gazelle” in both Chinese and English, which was important to include as not only will local guests visit the land, but many from around the world.
Over at Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, there are not one, but two looks to be worn with a reversible vest. This was a challenging design, but one that Costume Designer, Yonit Olshan felt was quite rewarding as it allows cast to transform their look with a simple unzip and flip between loading and unloading areas.
For those helping guests board their police cruiser, this side of the vest is themed to the Zootopia Police Department — complete with a subtle animal print and paw-shaped buttons. Their badges also feature similar paws of various species.
And the iconic Zootopia Day T-shirt? You can spot it again on those helping guests off the attraction! As for the vest worn overtop, its alternate side features the same design and colors as seen in the Zootopia Day Concert poster.
At the various merchandise locations throughout Zootopia, including Fashions by Fru Fru, the costumes are a bit more “bohemian-chic” and casual. Although they are also wearing the Zootopia Day T-shirt, another reversible vest, with circles on one side and stripes on the other, is completely different. If you look closely, you may even notice some pawprints incorporated throughout!
A Look Right Out of the Movie Over at Jumbeaux’s, you may recognize these costumes! The vintage soda fountain looks are just like the one worn by Jerry Jumbeaux Jr., the elephant, owner of the café, in the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “Zootopia.” Each one is complete with a pinstripe pink shirt, black bowtie and a diner style hat, complimenting the whimsical, art deco design of the space.
We can’t wait to see this all come together when Zootopia opens at Shanghai Disney Resort on Dec. 20.

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure Spaceship Earth Show Returns to EPCOT for 2023
A special nighttime show has returned to Epcot for the holidays! Olaf’s Frozen Adventure show lights up Spaceship Earth each evening during the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays.
This nighttime light show is set to “When We’re Together” from Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. The surface of Spaceship Earth lights up in different colors and patterns as the song plays.
The show is the third show to play at night, after the new Wish show and 100th Anniversary show. Be sure to stick around after those first two shows so you don’t miss this one!
