As they emerge from the fireplace-like structures they’ve seen in the films, guests will immediately find themselves in the lobby of the Ministry of Magic.
The jaw-dropping grand atrium of the Ministry of Magic comes to life in all its grandeur in the queue for the attraction. Here, guests will find a restored Fountain of Magical Brethren statue, the breathtaking enchanted weather ceiling, an endless array of Ministry offices from floor to ceiling and many more intricate details for guests to discover while inside. Guests will also discover that their visit falls on the same day that Dolores Umbridge will stand trial for her crimes against the wizarding world.

Guests will pass by the Ministry Reception, where wizards typically ask for information before going about their wizarding business. However, guests won’t find anyone working the reception booths today as the entire Ministry is busy preparing for the trial.
Dolores Umbridge’s Office
A glittering chandelier illuminates Dolores Umbridge’s former office, which is revealed to be just as over-the-top as the woman herself with its pink hues and ornate gold carvings throughout. Here, guests will meet Higgledy, Umbridge’s former house-elf, for the first time as she enthusiastically cleans out the office ahead of the trial.
Daily Prophet, Memos and Other Wizarding Details

The Land of Oz has never looked—or sounded—so enchanting. After attending an advanced screening on Monday, November 18, I’m thrilled to report that the film exceeded them in every way.

For those unfamiliar, Wicked stars the incredible Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, Broadway’s The Color Purple) as Elphaba, a young woman whose green skin and fiery independence set her apart, and pop superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a bubbly and ambitious young woman who hides surprising depth beneath her sparkling exterior. The two meet at Shiz University in Oz, forming a friendship that will shape their destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West. The story, which delves into themes of identity, loyalty, and the power of self-discovery, captures hearts as it explores the complex bonds between these two iconic characters.
One of the most frequent criticisms of the stage production is its brisk pacing, but the film adaptation allows the story to breathe. With a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes—essentially the same length as the full musical—the filmmakers have crafted a richer narrative that gives characters room to grow and relationships time to deepen. The pacing felt natural and immersive, making the time fly by. This expanded format enhances the emotional weight of the story, pulling viewers into every moment.
3D That Enhances, Not Distracts
We opted for the 3D version of the film, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The 3D effects are subtle and immersive, drawing you into the dazzling world of Oz without feeling gimmicky. From the towering halls of Shiz University to the vibrant emerald hues of the Wizard’s city, every scene feels alive, elevating the movie into an unforgettable experience.

She brings an intensity and emotional depth to Elphaba that honors the character while making it uniquely her own.

The holidays are back in full swing at Magic Kingdom, and with them comes the return of a fan-favorite collectible—the gold musical rotating popcorn tin! Originally released during the 2023 holiday season, this enchanting tin has made its way back to the castle hub snack carts, available for purchase while supplies last.
For $28, guests can grab this festive tin, which comes filled with popcorn at the time of purchase. The popcorn tin is a masterpiece of holiday cheer, featuring a gold exterior with a spinning center that showcases a winter scene starring beloved Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, and more. Holly accents adorn the edges of each display window, while a red Mickey icon crowns the lid. Adding to its charm, the tin plays a delightful music-box rendition of “Jingle Bells,” making it the perfect keepsake or gift for Disney fans.

Single Rider Line Has Appeared at EPCOT’s Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Big changes could be coming to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT, as Disney is seemingly moving toward testing a single rider line for the popular attraction. This testing phase offers a new way for guests to experience the ride, with the potential for shorter wait times and a more efficient loading process. It’s important to note that groups entering a single rider line will be split up.
When the attraction opened in October 2021, it featured a single rider entrance, but the option was never officially activated. Last week, however, signs of testing began to emerge. Ride vehicles have been fitted with numbered seat markers, a move that likely aims to streamline loading by efficiently placing solo riders into empty seats. While there’s no guarantee the single rider line will become a permanent feature, Disney appears to be exploring how well it can improve guest flow and meet operational goals.
Set in the heart of EPCOT’s World Showcase, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a crowd favorite attraction that typically commands long wait times. The trackless 3D attraction shrinks guests to the size of a rat for an immersive journey through the bustling kitchen of Ratatouille. For fans of the ride, the introduction of a single rider line could provide a welcome alternative to the standard queue, especially during peak times.

Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic Donates $13,000+ to Wounded Warrior Project
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin honored National Veterans and Military Families Month by donating over $13,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project, the beneficiary of their 15th annual Food & Wine Classic.
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Area General Manager Sean Verney presented a check to Wounded Warrior Project Community Fundraising Specialist Lily Adix at the conclusion of the two-night event. The donation, funded by event proceeds, reflects the property’s commitment to community service.
Founded in 2003, Wounded Warrior Project, headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, supports veterans who served post-9/11 and experienced physical or mental injuries. The nonprofit offers free programs and services like mental health counseling, career guidance, and long-term rehabilitation.
“The support we’re receiving from the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic helps Wounded Warrior Project honor and empower warriors in their communities,” said Brea Kratzert Todd, Wounded Warrior Project vice president of business development. “Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, warriors and their families never pay a penny for our programs and services.”
