EPCOT Decks the Halls for the 2024 Holiday Season

The holiday spirit is in full swing at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT! While the park’s much-anticipated Festival of the Holidays doesn’t officially begin until November 29th, festive decorations have already started to appear, setting the stage for a season of international holiday cheer. At the heart of it all is EPCOT’s towering Christmas tree, a fan-favorite that brings together global traditions in one dazzling display.

The EPCOT Christmas tree stands proudly at the entrance to World Showcase, nestled between Port of Entry and World Traveler. This year, the tree carries forward many familiar elements while introducing a subtle but thoughtful update. The Disney100 globes from last year have been cleverly reimagined, with the Disney100 logo replaced by images of iconic World Showcase buildings. Painted in gold and adorned with a snowy effect, these globe ornaments celebrate the cultural tapestry of the park in a way we hope becomes a new tradition.

The tree itself dazzles with gold garland, a return from 2022 but with a fresh look as last year’s blue accents have been replaced with the warmer hue. The angel topper, dressed in a striking blue, watches over ornaments in shades of yellow, green, blue, and purple. White baubles adorned with flags of World Showcase nations and multilingual “Happy Holidays” bells add a touch of international flair. Surrounding the tree, a festive setup of landscaping and fencing creates the perfect holiday photo opportunity, often complete with PhotoPass photographers ready to capture magical memories.

Decorations aren’t limited to the tree—holiday touches have popped up across the park. At the front entrance, garlands of blue-green hues sparkle with silver, purple, and green baubles, accented by globe ornaments that reflect the land and sea. Above the entrance to Port of Entry, strands of garland overlap beautifully, featuring red, gold, and peppermint-themed baubles alongside silver and red poinsettias. The countries in the World Showcase have also been decked out for the holidays, featuring decorations fitting the country they are found in.
