The ABC Studios TV series, ‘Perception’, starring Eric McCormack is coming to DVD on May 21, 2013. The show currently airs on TNT, and will start its second season on June 25, 2013, so the DVD is perfectly timed for the start of the new season. I haven’t seen the show yet, but it definitely has me intrigued. The plot follows Daniel, a brilliant, but off kilter, neuroscience professor who is hired by the FBI to assist cases they can’t crack. Daniel has an understanding of the human mind that no one else seems to, but his eccentric personality makes it hard for him to connect with those around him. His former student, Kate Moretti (Rachel Leigh Cook), is the only person willing to deal with Daniel’s personality, and is there to help him while he cracks the tough cases.
I get the distinct feeling this show is very Sherlock Holmes in feeling and tone, which makes me even more excited to watch it. I’m a huge fan of the character, it sounds like it’s been a major influence on this show, and the character. I could be wrong, so fans can definitely let me know, but I definitely get the idea when I read about it. This is definitely going to be very fun to watch, so I can’t wait to delve into it, and catching up before season 2 begins next month.
