Dr. Doofenshmirtz is more than ready to take over the Disney’s D23 Expo…and the Tri-State Area with his most wacky “-inator” yet — “The Waffle-inator” — an amazing 40-foot high interactive game, combining physical and digital worlds — and simulated waffles — in an epic showdown to free Agent P from the evil clutches of Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Everyone can hop aboard and wield the life-size invention to play “The Phineas and Ferb Waffle-inator Challenge,” at Disney’s D23 Expo, at the Anaheim Convention Center FRIDAY, AUGUST 9–SUNDAY, AUGUST 11.

The Waffle-inator is depicted in “Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel,” the highly anticipated event episode of the #1 animated series for kids and tweens, premiering FRIDAY, AUGUST 16 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel and SUNDAY, AUGUST 25 (10:00 a.m. ET/PT) on Disney XD. In the storyline, Phineas and Ferb, team up with the Marvel Super Heroes to help them regain their powers and defeat Marvel Super Villains and Dr. Doofenshmirtz, in an epic battle of good versus evil.

Stars like, Adrian Pasdar, Drake Bell, Fred Tatasciore, Roger Craig Smith, Bumper Robinson and Laura Bailey – will join the line-up of stars across Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior who will meet fans at Disney’s D23 Expo, including “Teen Beach Movie,” “Phineas and Ferb,” “Shake It Up,” “Jessie,” “Gravity Falls,” “Good Luck Charlie,” “Liv and Maddie,” “Kickin’ It,” “Dog With A Blog,” “Lab Rats,” “Crash & Bernstein,” “Wander Over Yonder” and “Sofia the First.” Fans can also catch live performances from Hollywood Records’ recording artists Bridgit Mendler and R5 featuring Ross Lynch, and meet favorite characters Princess Sofia (“Sofia the First”), Doc McStuffins, Jake (“Jake and the Never Land Pirates”), Spider-Man and Iron Man.

To play the “The Phineas and Ferb Waffle-inator Challenge,” fans are invited to man one of four colorful, full-scale “Waffe-inators” to unleash flying foam waffles and to move Phineas and Ferb up a towering screen, while outmaneuvering Dr. Doof’s evil creations, to free a trapped Agent P before time runs out. “The Phineas and Ferb Waffle-inator Challenge” will be located in the Grand Plaza near the D23 Expo entrance for fans to enjoy Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Be one the first to watch ABC’s anticipated new fall series and animated specials and have a chance to learn the secrets behind how they were made. Fans will have those opportunities at the D23 Expo, where all the worlds of Disney come together, August 9 – 11, at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Executive Producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz will be featured at a panel titled “ABC’s Once Upon A Time: Behind The Fairytale”. They will talk about new developments for season three of their hit series Once Upon A Time as well as their new fall series, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland, which takes place in the Victorian England of Alice and the strange new land that exists on the other side of the rabbit hole.

Guests at D23 Expo show are invited to come aboard the Jolly Roger for a good time with some of your favorite fairytale characters from Once Upon A Time. Explore the famous pirate ship and check out original props from the set. You will also find Snow White, Prince Charming, the Evil Queen, Captain Hook, and Emma Swan (and Emma’s red leather jacket). Every pirate who boards the ship gets to visit the Evil Queen’s vault.

Also guests will be treated an up-close look at some of the elaborate costumes from Once Upon A Time inside the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives exhibit.

It seems that there really is an app for everything. The D23 app is interactive. It will provide schedules, talent bios, trivia, breaking news, and more.

Guests attending the D23 Expo are now able to download the free D23 Expo app from the iTunes and Google Play stores. This application will be a useful tool for those attending the event.

Disney disconnects the UK Pavilion Phone Boxes…

Hiya!! It’s me Anonymouse your favorite neighborhood gossip columnist. Did you miss me? Of course you did, how could you not. Chippy has left me an email on some Gossip he found online and I wanted to write something up to share with you.

It seems there is news floating around that those red phone booths or Phone Boxes in Epcot are no longer working. A few people have been telling me that they have been calling and nothing is happening.

Halloween on the High Seas Disney Cruise Line

You can enjoy a spook-tacular good time this Halloween on Disney Cruise Line. The Disney ships will be transformed into a ghoulish wonderland full of frightfully fun events and activities, special decorations, unique menu items in the restaurants, and themed parties on deck.

New for 2013, Halloween on the High Seas, takes place on most cruises aboard the Disney Dream from late September through October. This brand-new event features Halloween-themed parties, lively entertainment, and elaborate décor including a Halloween Tree that transforms throughout the cruise. Other celebrations include:

Mickey’s Calling All The Monsters Mouse-Querade Deck Party, a celebration in addition to Pirate Night with games, dancing and some Disney characters in Halloween attire.

A Nightmare Before Christmas—Sing and Scream, an interactive movie experience where guests are part of the action, followed by a meet-and-greet with Jack Skellington and Sally.

Haunted Stories of the Sea with a mysterious sea captain storyteller.

Haunted Parties: Beloved Disney characters, wearing special Halloween costumes just for the occasion, will join you for a fun-filled Halloween costume party – Disney Cruise Line style – complete with live music, dancing and lots of candy! For adults, the nighttime entertainment district on the Disney ships becomes the ghoulish setting for a costume contest and party sure to bring chills to everyone.

Spooky Movies: To get guests into the spirit of the season, Halloween-themed movies will be shown in Buena Vista Theatre, on Funnel Vision by the family pool, and in guest staterooms.

Ghoulish Delights: Disney Cruise Line chefs have created some very special treats for Halloween, including chocolate cake with pumpkin filling, spider cakes, and “Witch’s Brew.”

Marvel Studios Starts Production on Guardians of the Galaxy

“Guardians of the Galaxy,” is the next epic adventure from Marvel Studios. It starts shooting at the UK’s Shepperton Studios.Directed by James Gunn (“Slither,”“Super”) from his screenplay, with a story by Nicole Perlman and Gunn.

These cool sweet treats are worth a trip to the Disneyland Resort or Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World Resort for “Limited Time Magic” fun between July 29 and August 4.

The Disneyland Resort sundae just makes us smile with two scoops of mint chip ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles, candy eye and horns in a crisp waffle cup. You’ll find the delightful treat at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor in Disneyland park and Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream at Disney California Adventure park. Cost is $6.99 plus tax.

In Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll find four variations on the theme: a parfait-glass sundae at Plaza Restaurant that comes in either mint chocolate chip or vanilla-strawberry ($6.99 plus tax), or slightly smaller version of both at Plaza Ice Cream Cone Shop ($5.29 plus tax). Disney Interactive Releases Wreck-It Ralph ‘Sugar Rush’ Game on New Leap Motion Platform

Disney Interactive launched Sugar Rush, based on Disney’s animated film Wreck-it Ralph, for the new Leap Motion platform which lets users control their computers like never before using natural hand and finger movements.

Using the Leap Motion controller’s in 3D motion control and sensing technology, players can make their own kart or choose one of 10 candy creations and race it through four tracks on the Sugar Rush Speedway.

Sugar Rush is now available for $1.99 in the Airspace Store for Leap Motion.

Having your own Disney World Themed Birthday Party!

There are SO MANY fun ways to customize your child’s birthday party to a Disney-esque theme: you can use a favorite movie, or favorite character – or a favorite vacation spot? A Walt Disney World themed party would be a perfect idea for that WDW lover in your life! Here are some ideas on how to recreate that Theme Park feeling at home:

Décor – Dig into the photo archives for this one – make a Disney Photo Collage using pictures from past trips, so guests can see all the fun times you have had at WDW! You could also have Park or Ride themed tables – these don’t have to be over the top or expensive, just group things together that remind you of the Park/Ride – for example – a Space Mountain table could have a dark blue or black tablecloth with glow in the dark stars and planets, and a Hollywood Studios themed table could have a Sorcerer’s Hat (made of construction paper) and cameras and lights (old Hollywood style) – use your imagination and utilize what you have around the house. Another fun “decoration” would be a custom Disney shirt for the Birthday Boy/Girl – Iron on transfers can be purchased at most office supply/craft stores, and you can create a shirt with their name/birthdate/favorite character/ride/Disney item

Food and Drinks – The possibilities really are endless when it comes to this category – you can use a Disney cookbook to get some ideas – they are full of recipes from the Parks and Resorts, and what better way to celebrate than to serve their favorite Disney dessert (like ‘Ohana’s famous Bread Pudding perhaps?). These books offer drink recipes too, both adult and non-alcoholic ones, and many are easy enough that you can whip up a big pitcher of them ahead of time

Activities: A fun hands on activity would be to let everyone Decorate their own Mickey – shaped Cookies: you can use regular sugar cookie dough, or even chocolate sugar cookie dough for this and bake/freeze the cookies ahead of time using your Mickey Cookie cutter. And the great thing about this is that you really don’t need tons of fancy cake decorating equipment to make this work– you can use thick Ziploc baggies with the tips cut off and filled with assorted colored frostings, and then have sprinkles/chocolate chips/red hot candies etc. for additional decorating. Provide each participant with a plastic container so that they can take home their edible masterpiece. Check out more crafty ideas on Chip and Co. You could also do Disney Trivia for the guests, with a prize going to the winner with the most Disney knowledge

Favors – For kids you can make goodie bags using plain treat bags and jazz them up with Disney stickers, and you can fill them with assorted small Disney items like fruit snacks/candy, pens/pencils, small notepads, stickers, etc (a lot of these can be found at Party City and stores like Target/Walmart). If there is a craft/activity planned, their finished product can be their favor, or you can do Disney coloring books and crayons too!

Ok so you’ve planned out the party – but you’ve still got one question left to answer – What gift do you get that Disney fanatic? Well, there’s plenty of Disney Parks Merchandise for sale at the Disney Store online, And if all else fails, there’s always the Disney Gift card – which may seem lame, but can really be the best gift of all – they can use it online, or use it to help pay for their next trip, or save it for a trip and use it on a Park souvenir…the possibilities are endless, really!

I hope these ideas have sparked your creativity, and that a Disney World themed party is in your very near future! It’s a great way to cheer yourself up between trips to WDW, and it helps infuse a little of that Disney Magic into your life!

Club Penguin: Star Wars Takeover

Disney’s Club Penguin is the #1 virtual world for kids. Club Penguin is calling players to help save a galaxy far, far away in the the Star Wars™ Takeover Event. On July 25, members can train to become a Jedi Master, thwart Darth Herbert and obliterate the Death Star. While you battle to save the galaxy, Club Penguin members can dress up in costumes inspired by Star Wars characters. In this three-week-long event, there will be more penguin costumes than any other party and a few new mini games.

Once enough players have joined the Rebel Alliance, the newly trained penguins can travel to the Death Star. Players that are lucky enough to find Darth Herbert’s plans must then fight TIE fighters in an all-new X-wing themed mini-game to try and destroy the Death Star once and for all. If the Death Star is destroyed, players will collect the Rebellion’s highest honor, an exclusive, award medal.

Some Fun Facts about the Star Wars Takeover Event on Club Penguin Island:

Members can acquire a galaxy of Star Wars inspired styles, including a C-3PO mask, Chewbacca mask, Luke Skywalker costume, Han Solo costume and Princess Leia hair.

Members who are training to become a Jedi Master can collect exclusive Jedi robes and cloaks, multi-colored Lightsabers, an Obi-Wan Kenobi cloak and beard, Darth Vader helmet and costume and more!

Members can nab an exclusive costume only in the My Penguin app starting on July 25.

Everyone can blast Stormtroopers, navigate puzzles and pilot X-wing fighters in the three all-new Star Wars mini-games.

* In “The Egg,” Wander and Sylvia try to soften the heart of a ferocious flying dragon by reuniting it with its lost egg, but it’s Sylvia who ends up needing a lesson or two on being gentle and nurturing.
