Ken Page, renowned for his stage work and voicing the iconic Oogie Boogie in The Nightmare Before Christmas, has passed away at 70.

The news of his death was shared by his friend Dorian Hannaway, who wrote on Facebook: “Ken Page has passed onto the next show. My heart is broken.”

Born in 1954, Page began his successful theater career in the chorus at The Muny outdoor theater in St. Louis. He later made his Broadway debut in The Wiz and went on to star in productions such as Guys and Dolls, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Wizard of Oz, Les Misérables, Little Shop of Horrors, and most notably, Cats, where he played Old Deuteronomy.

On screen, Page appeared in Torch Song Trilogy, All Dogs Go to Heaven, I’ll Do Anything, Shortcut to Happiness, and Dreamgirls. He was best known for voicing Oogie Boogie in The Nightmare Before Christmas, a role he reprised in the Kingdom Hearts video game series.

Following the announcement of his passing, many paid tribute to Page. Actress Shari Belafonte wrote on Facebook: “Ken Page. One of the sweetest, most talented guys on the planet… It’s hard to believe… but it’s true. RIP to all of you brilliant talents.”

Disneyland Price Hike is Expected this October

As Disneyland Resort prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2025, another ticket price hike is a possibility. This would mark the latest in a series of annual price increases that have become a tradition at the Anaheim theme park.

We’ve come to expect Disneyland to increase ticket prices in October since it’s been happening like clockwork for a few years now. Following recent trends, Disneyland is likely to announce a ticket price increase in mid-October, between October 8th and 16th.

The highest-priced one-day, one-park ticket at Disneyland has steadily increased over the past five years. From $149 in 2019, the price has risen to $194 in 2023, with an average annual increase of $6.

While the top-priced ticket has seen significant increases, the lowest-priced one-day single park ticket has remained unchanged at $104 since 2019.

Based on recent trends, Disneyland is likely to announce a ticket price increase on or around October 11th. This would mark the third consecutive year of price hikes on that date, following increases on a Tuesday in 2022 and a Wednesday in 2023.

To soften the blow, Disneyland may offer a discount promotion just before the price increase announcement. If a discount is announced in the next week or so, we can expect the price increase to follow shortly after.

New Moana 2 Products: A Wave of New Adventures!

Everyone’s favorite wayfinding heroine, Moana, is back for an all-new adventure in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ highly anticipated sequel, Moana 2. As the film sails into theaters on November 27, fans can gear up for the exciting voyage with a variety of new Moana 2 products inspired by the movie.

Moana joins the American Girl Doll lineup with a 18-inch doll featuring her signature new outfit, plus accessories like Heihei, Pua, and her oar! Mattel is also releasing new dolls that showcase Moana and her little sister, Simea. The Singing Adventure Moana doll sings a clip from “We’re Back” and comes with accessories.

Do you love LEGO? Build Moana’s Adventure Canoe and Moana’s Island Fun sets, featuring mini-figures of Moana, Pua, and more!

Funko is also joining the brands launching new Moana 2 products this fall. The just-announced Maui POP (shapeshifter, demigod of the wind and sea, hero to all – you know the drill) features his signature magical fishhook, and Moana comes with a little buddy, her little sis Simea.
