Jedi Mickey’s Star Wars Dine at Hollywood & Vine: Disney Dining Review

This year’s Star Wars™ Weekends marked two new dining experiences: the Jedi Mickey’s Star Wars™ Dine at Hollywood & Vine with the Fab Five as your favorite Star Wars characters and the Star Wars™ Dine-In Galactic Breakfast at Sci-Fi Dine In featuring Boba Fett and Darth Vader. I have been lucky enough to attend both and so have my fellow Chip and Co writers. You can read about Teresa’s dining experience at the Star Wars™ Dine-In Galactic Breakfast at Sci-Fi Dine In. Her review includes lots of great photographs and information about the meal.

Like the breakfast at Sci-Fi Dine In, dinner at Hollywood & Vine transforms into a galactic feast. Before you can dig into your meal like a hungry Wookie, you’ll first check in at the kiosks set-up for these character meals outside of Hollywood & Vine. I love that they have special labels on the laptops used for check-in that are even branded for the occasion.

Once checked in, you are asked to head to a galaxy far far away…just kidding. You are directed to a line where you wait to enter the restaurant. Once in, your first stop is a photograph with the always adorable, Chip and Dale. They are dressed up as Ewoks, a fitting role for our rascally chipmunk friends. After your photos, you’ll receive a photopass card which includes your photos with our favorite “Ewoks.”

Seated in the Hollywood & Vine dining room area, you can check out the characters walking around throughout the meal – Jedi Mickey, Stormtrooper Donald, Princess Leia Minnie, and Darth Goofy. Like other character meals, they will stop at your table to take photos and sign autographs.

Next up, it’s time for food! The menu features many of the standard dinner menu items that are served at Hollywood & Vine with Star Wars™ inspired names. I have to admit, I got a kick out of these names. Here are some photos that include just a few of them.

Most popular at this dinner was the dessert section, and I have to say it was the star of this Star Wars™ inspired meal. From elaborate cakes, Wookie and Yoda shaped cookies, to blue soft serve ice cream, it included a ton of outrageous sweets.

To add to the meal experience, guests were also given paper cut-outs which could be turned into paper light sabers. You could choose red or blue depending on which “side” you were on.

Whether you were embracing your inner dark side or joining the rebel alliance, the Hollywood & Vine character meal had something for every Star Wars™ fan. It was the perfect way to cap off a day at Star Wars™ Weekends. And rest assured, you won’t be as hungry as a Wookie by the time you’re done with this out-of-this-world buffet.

‘Villains Unleashed’ Special Event Now Official

So Anonymouse was right! “Villains Unleashed” is now official. It will take place on August 23rd at Hollywood Studios. It will be a hard ticket event.

There will be over 50 villains in one park!

I suspect they are making it a hard ticket event in order to control the crowds, since last year I heard they had some crowd issues.

Here are some details for the event:

Oogie Boogie Variety Show – Oogie himself hosts a variety show

Villains inspired food, drinks and merchandise

Hades Hangout and Dance Party – Hang out and party with the ruler of underworld

Star Wars Villains zone – See some of your favorite villains from the Star Wars empire

Ex-Scream Makeovers – Get your face painted to look like the villain of your choice

Villainy in the Sky Fireworks – A special villains themes fireworks spectacular

Best of all there will extended hours for this event. Hollywood Studios will close at 1:00 am that day!

Annual Passholders can get tickets now! Tickets go on sale to the general public June 9th. So if you are a passholder I suggest you hurry up and get your ticket.

Prices are $67 for adults and $62 for kids ages 3-9.

Did you know Tinkerbell has moved to her new home at the Magic Kingdom? Now when you want to meet Tink and her fairy friends you can visit the new Garden Theater, which is a part of Town Square Theater on Main Street.

You will really feel like you have shrunk down to fairy size when you enter Tinker Bell’s Magical Nook. Don’t forget to take in the surroundings because you will see some of Tink’s treasures from the mainland.

Now you can get a Fastpass+ for this. Meet and Greets are very popular so make sure you get your fastpasses as early as possible.

My New Magnificent Maleficent Ears

Recently Mandy over at Mouskaears gave me the chance to try out one of her adorable homemade ears. Well I love Maleficent, as most of you know, so she custom made me these beautiful Maleficent inspired ears.

I am not a creative person at all, so when I asked her if she could do Maleficent ears and she said yes, I could not for the life of figure out what they might look like. Well when she sent the picture I was amazed. I love how she incorporated the important elements from Maleficent, like the wings and the horns. My favorite aspect of the ears is the horns that are coming out from behind the bow, which really fits me perfectly!

They are really well made and I think they are cuter than the ones in the park. Just to prove how well they are constructed, they arrived at my apartment in a crushed box. Yet when I pulled them out they were in perfect condition. At the parks I had to take them off because it was raining and they held up just fine in my backpack.

Oh did I mention the bow lights up? Yes the bow lights up in 6 different colors. I liked the green because it matches the theme of the ears. Check it out:

I got a lot of compliments on these at the parks.

Mandy is super sweet and easy to work with. She sent me pictures and shipped when she said she would. The way things are today it’s important to know that someone is not just going to take your money and run.

Disney Cruise Line Dooney and Bourke Purses Coming Soon

The New Disney Cruise Line pattern for Dooney and Bourke.

Dooney and Bourke celebrate 5 years at Disney Parks this July. In celebration a special event will only be held on The Disney Fantasy. Launching at this event will be a brand new Disney Cruise Line pattern. This event will only be on The Disney Fantasy Cruise sailing July 12^th for 7 nights in the Eastern Caribbean.

As part of the special event director of new product development for Dooney & Bourke, Ian Ray, will be on board to hold a special presentation, and meet with guests each night. As part of the event, there will also be a silent auction featuring different Dooney and Burke items.

The Cruise Line pattern will be available in many favorite styles such as the Crossbody bags, totes, and many more. The pattern will be available for sale on all Disney Cruises after the 5 year anniversary event on The Disney Fantasy.

How exciting, it looks like Disney is really giving us some great designer options this year! I can’t wait to see what they come out with next.

Hiya! You know who I am and why I am here! Yes it is me the infamous Anonymouse. Well I have some exciting gossip that I thought you might like to know. Do you remember the Villains Unleashed event at Hollywood Studios from last year? It happened on Friday the 13th? Of course you do how could you forget!

Well I love Villains but sadly I could not make it to this event. I have heard it through the grapevine that the event is coming back this year. However there is a twist! The twist is that it will now be a hard ticketed event. I know what you are thinking because I thought the same thing, really they want more of my money? But we know Disney is worth every dollar!

It is supposed to take place sometime this summer and tickets might go on sale very soon!

New Alex and Ani Bracelets Coming to Disney Parks

Alex and Ani charm bangles have been quite popular lately. The race will travel down turn-of-the-century Main Street U.S.A., before it makes its way around the Rivers of America. It’s never too early to start your Jedi training! Every child eight and younger is invited to join the fun and participate in the runDisney Kids Races during the Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend. Encourage your child to be a part of the excitement and sign up for any of the Kids Dashes. There’s even a Diaper Dash for crawlers! Space is limited. Each participant goes home a winner with a Finisher Medallion to remember all the magic.

Parents are allowed to run with their children, but only registered children will receive a finisher medallion. The event will follow a rolling start beginning with the 100m dash followed by the 200m, 400m and Diaper Dash.
