Big Refurbishment Coming to All-Star Music’s Food Court

FoodCourts
FoodCourts

FoodCourts

Hiya! It is “I” Anonymouse, back with some more juicy gossip for you! You know you love my gossip, don’t deny it! Well today I have heard it through the grapevine that All-Star Music will be getting a new food court. Well, a refurbished food court.

You may remember last year All-Star Sports had their food court re-done now it is Music’s turn. Starting August 1st, the Intermission Food Court will be closed all the way until December 20, 2014. Let us remember that these dates are not set in set in stone because there has been no official announcement from Disney yet. It is said to be getting an extensive make over just like Sports got last year. I think it’s about time, don’t you?

There will do the usual grab and go spot, that may be set up by the arcade. It will have a mug station and the usual grab and go type foods like sandwiches, chips, desserts, and things like that.

Singing Spirits Bar is supposed to stay open during the make over. I think there may be a refillable mug station there too.

Don’t worry if you will be staying there during those times because you know Disney will take care of you. There will be bus service for those guests that want to go to another All-Star Resort to use their food court.

Anywho, that is all the Disney gossip I have right now. For my past gossip articles be sure to check them out here. Got any good gossip/rumors please email me at [email protected] or on my facebook page

Disneyland Dubai in the works?

Hiya boys and girls! It’s Anonymouse here with some exciting Disney Gossip. It appears that Favilli Studios and RIVA Creative may be preparing to pitch Disneyland Dubai to The Walt Disney Company.

With Disneyland Shanghai still in construction, Disneyland Dubai would be several years in the future. However, a resort in the Middle East would make sense given the number of people in the area. One of the many challenges Disney will face is the soaring temperatures of the desert and keeping the guests cool.

Disneyland Dubai artist renderings show a Main Street area, Pixar land, Adventure land, a train or monorail, and a hotel surrounding the castle. Based on the size of Dubai, a Disney Resort would be limited in the amount of land space it could occupy. Perhaps it would be about the size of Disneyland in California?

Would you visit a Disneyland Resort in Dubai? Where would you like the next Disney Resort to be located? Please leave your comments in my comment section below. I would love to hear your thoughts.

As the Favilli Studio website notes: Favilli Studio teamed with RIVA Creative to develop a blue-sky concept for a Disney destination in the Middle East. The cornerstone of the concept is classic Disney storytelling, entertainment and the beloved characters brought to life in the arid dessert on the edge of an ancient oasis. The icon of the park is the glorious Castle of Dreams—a magnificent palace akin to the famous Disney castles, but with distinctive Middle Eastern elements such as spires, domes and minarets making it uniquely Disneyland Dubai.

Anywho, that is all the Disney gossip I have right now. For my past gossip articles be sure to check them out here. Got any good gossip/rumors please email me at [email protected] or on my facebook page

New “Cars” Coming to The Richard Petty Driving Experience

Piston Cup Ride along
Piston Cup Ride along

Piston Cup Ride Along

The Richard Petty Driving Experience has been pretty popular because people can release their inner speed demon and not worry about getting a ticket. Now there is something for the little speed demons in your life.

Let me just say that I think this is so cute. There is a new Piston Cup Ride Along program for kids starting June 14. It is for ages 6 – 13 and they have to be at least 48 inches tall. Sage VanDerSpin and Aiken Axler will be the ‘Cars’ featured in the program.

The price is $59-$69, the price depends on the track. The children do not drive the car. They sit shotgun with a professionally trained driver. They take 3 laps around the track in a specially designed 2 seater NASCAR race car.

There are no reservations requires. They work an a first come first served system. Go to Drivepetty.com and check it out.

Disney Parks’ Candy Apple vs. Rice Crispy Treat

applevscrispy

The Candied Apple vs. Rice Crispy Treat showdown!
The Candied Apple vs. Rice Crispy Treat showdown!

One thing Disney parks are known for is the treats! The Candy Apple and Rice Crispy Treat rank high on many people’s list. Which one is the superior snack though?

Each of them has their virtues, and each has their not so favorite parts as well.  Both are pretty delicious, and come in a variety of decorations. They can also be made with your toppings of choice at places like Goofy’s Candy Co. Each has a nifty stick to hold them and keep your fingers clean, but that’s where the similarities begin to drift apart.

First let’s discuss the Candy Apple. This gem is large, bold, and dripping with sweet delights. This treat has the added bonus of the cold and crisp fruit to help keep you cool in the outdoor sun. The apple also adds a nice contrast of texture from the candies and coatings wrapping around it. I feel this is a great choice for leisure time, you’ll want to sit and enjoy while taking in a parade or watching fireworks. Disney uses large beautiful apples, so this is an easy snack to share. The Candy Apple is divine but, it’s a bit hard to eat while touring the parks, and has a higher price point than our friend the Rice Crispy Treat.

Now for the Rice Crispy Treat. This option is easy to handle and not very messy. The crispy treat is great for small hands to hold while avoiding any oopsies. If you have a sweet tooth this is a great option, lots of gooey marshmallow flowing through the sweet cereal. This is a hearty snack that holds up well, so you can make your way through the crowds with little worries of losing it. Since the crispy treat holds up so well, it’s also a great snack you can bring home with you, which is a nice way to bring back Disney memories once you are home. While this is a cheaper option than the candy apple, it’s much smaller so not as share able. You also won’t get a refreshing feeling like you would from the cool apple on a hot day in the parks.

So in the end it comes down to which option works best for you. For me the apple is great while taking a break on Main Street, for my toddler the crispy treat is his favorite memento to bring home. I don’t feel either is superior, simply different. They both have their merits depending on how you like to snack. Both will also check off a notch on our Disney Foods to try challenge! Which one do you prefer?

Best Disney Dining Cold Treats to Beat the Heat at Disney World

P11801081
P11801081

Kitchen Sink

Summer is officially here and the parks are getting warm and crowded. My favorite way to beat the heat is to take advantage of some of the cool offerings at the parks, Downtown Disney, and at some of the resorts. Here are my top ten treats and where to find them.

10. Everyone has seen the Mickey premium ice cream bar. This vanilla ice cream ice cream bar is shaped like Mickey Mouse and covered in chocolate. What makes it great is that is on a stick , and quite portable.  It is also very easy to locate.  Look for the numerous ice cream carts located through out the parks. It also is usually available in the ice cream freezers in the resorts.

9. The dole whip. This treat has  been one of my favorites for years. What it is is a blend of pineapple and soft-serve vanilla ice cream.  You can find it at the Tropical Isle in Adventureland, as well as Captain Hook’s at the Polynesian.  ( Please make a note that Captain Hook’s is currently under refurbishment, and no where else is it available at the Polynesian until it reopens.)

8. Peanut Butter and Jelly Shake at 50’s Prime Time Cafe.  Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are good, but this shake takes them to a whole other level. This milkshake blends a classic shake with chunks of peanut butter and layers of jelly. It is a staple at 50’s and a great excuse to order one at the bar if you are not dinning there.

7. Fruit Smoothies. For those who want a healthy alternative, or have sensitivity to dairy, these are a great alternative. They are found at most dinning restaurants and some quick service locations throughout the resort. It is important that you let the person know of any allergies so that they can make yours accordingly. My personal favorite is the Wildberry option at the Art of Animation’s Landscape of Flavor Food Court.

6.  Kitchen Sink at  Beaches and Cream. This monster is not for the faint of heart. It contains 8 scoops of ice cream, layers of every topping they have, and an entire can of whipped cream ( a whole can?????) served in a mini kitchen sink. It is great for groups as it can fill you up quite quickly.  Again, let your server know of any allergies, as they will do their best to accommodate.

5.  Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. This is a great place to get ice cream before the parade and fireworks. My favorite is their sundaes, but they also serve ice cream and milkshakes. Don’t forget to try the Mickey Kitchen Sink!

4.  Lemonade. Nothing is better than sitting in the shade sipping some delicious lemonade. There are many locations that have it, but my personal favorite is the frozen type at Prince Eric’s in the New Fantasy Land.

3. Shaved ice. This is my favorite treat when visiting the water parks, but some quick service locations also carry it.  It  is a great way to beat the heat and experiment with different flavor combinations. My personal favorite is cherry.

2. Everything Ghirardelli. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place for you. Besides being world famous for their chocolates, they also have their fair share of ice cream treats. From sundaes to milkshakes, they have you covered. It is located in Downtown Disney, and is a great place to stop at when in the area. It can get very crowded, so a to- go order might be in order.  My go to treat here?  The Quake Shake! It is a milkshake infused with a chocolate bar and your choice of  a mix in.  For me, its the peanut butter that puts me over the edge.

1. For the adults who want an adult beverage, the frozen margaritas at La Cava del Tequila ( or if you are in a hurry, the Margarita Stand in Mexic0).  My personal favorite is the Fiesta Flavor.  Its sweet and thirst quenching.   It also is a great way to chill after walking all around Epcot.

No Matter the heat, these treats are a sure way of cooling down.

Will the next Starbucks be located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios?

starbucks-logo

Hiya, it’s me, Anonymouse! I’m back with the latest Disney Gossip for you. Starbucks is a hot topic at Walt Disney World and it looks like the next Starbucks will be making its appearance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Let’s see, we have a Starbucks in Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Downtown Disney. The next logical location is Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but the question is where. Boy, do I have the answer for you! My sources say it will replace the L.A. Prop Cinema Shop.

There is a great space for outdoor seating near this shop already. More importantly, Disney’s Hollywood Studios refurbishment calendar has the L.A. Prop Cinema Shop down for an extensive refurbishment from June 2014 through the first quarter of 2015. What a great location at the corner of Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Blvd!

As always, as soon this Disney Gossip is confirmed, you’ll be the first to know!

Are you excited about a new Starbucks location? Please leave your comments below in my comment section. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

New details emerge about ‘Pandora: The Land of Avatar’ Coming to Animal Kingdom

“It’s going to have floating mountains. It’s pretty cool,” says Cameron of “Pandora: The Land of Avatar,” which is going to be a new area. It is scheduled to open to the public at Disney World in 2017.

The park name, which was unclear, came straight from James Cameron.

“It’s a land within the park but a land is not just a ride. There will be several rides and a number of other attractions. It’s really just a place you’re gonna wanna go and hang out,” the director said.

“It’s gonna be gorgeous. Of course it’s gonna be gorgeous at night and they’re using every new trick, every new bit of technology that they’ve created.”

The Construction began at Animal Kingdom in early 2014.

“The animatronics for the Na’vi characters are gonna be fantastic. For example, their early animatronics would use 12 axis of motion and I think the most they’ve ever done was 32 axis recently,” he recalled. “I think they’re up to 64 just in the face of the Na’vi characters. So it’s gonna be remarkable. [Disney] really see it as a major, major attraction.”

Are you excited about the new land?

Disneyland’s Downtown Disney’s Summer Entertainment

DIS146911 A6

Disneyland’s Downtown Disney’s Summer Entertainment is ready to blast off.

As a Disneyland pass holder, I have the summer months blocked off…however, 6 long weeks without the magic can be hard on this Disney Addict.   To help with my withdrawals, I usually plan a few visits to Downtown Disney to enjoy lunch or dinner and breath in the magic.

This summer’s newest entertainment starts off Friday, June 6th with the first DOLE Days of Summer” Hawaiian Nights and goes through Mid July.

Father’s Day weekend has a special event at RIDEMAKERZ  “Build One Ride and Build Another Ride for Free” special.

The pro sand volleyball stars will be around during the beach volleyball exhibition and tournament, July 16-20.

And my family’s favorite this year, will be hanging out at ESPN zone for the World Cup soccer games beginning June 12, through July 13.  I can’t wait to see all the Soccer World Cup merchandise, ESPN will have available.

Of course, I will also be doing a little shopping at one of the  5 top disney shops.  Is your favorite on the list?

Join me at DTD this summer for fun and magic.

My name is Loretta Garcia and I am the Entertainment Writer for Chip and Co.  I enjoy taking Amazing Magical Adventures to the Disney Parks and Resorts to bring you the latest and greatest entertainment info.

“Beauty and the Beast” Live Action Movie Will Happen

Disney Beauty And The Beast 3D
Disney Beauty And The Beast 3D

Disney-Beauty-And-The-Beast-3D

It was recently announced that Disney will be doing a “Beauty and the Beast” live action movie. The announcement came after the initial success of “Maleficent”.

Bill Condon, who worked on Dreamgirls, will direct the movie. Evan Spiliotopoulos will write the script. That is all we know for now since there has been no casting announcement.

A little background on “the tale as old as time”. It is the 30th film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series, the film is based on the fairy tale La Belle et la Bête by Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont, (which was based on a more detailed story of the same name and plot, written by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve) and uses some ideas from the 1946 film of the same name. The film tells the story of a prince who is transformed into a Beast and a young woman named Belle whom he imprisons in his castle. To become a prince again, the Beast must love Belle and win her love in return, or he will remain a Beast forever.

The original Beauty and the Beast was in theaters in November 1991 and was a massive box office success. The movie earned a total of $424.97 million globally. Beauty and the Beast took home 2 Academy Awards and three Golden Globes.

The next live action Disney movie coming up is Cinderella.

Are you looking forward to this?

Wishing you Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust
